Klasse I – Bij Klasse I apparatuur worden alle metalen aanraakbare delen van het apparaat verbonden

met de aarde. Dit betekent dat er een verbinding is tussen de randaarde en de metalen behuizing

van Klasse I apparatuur.

Klasse II – Bij Klasse II apparatuur spreken we ook wel over dubbel geïsoleerde apparatuur. Deze

apparatuur beschikt niet over een randaardestekker. De behuizing mag onder geen enkele

voorwaarde met aarde verbonden worden.

Klasse III – Bij Klasse III apparatuur wordt de apparatuur voorzien van een (lage) veiligere spanning.

Deze spanning mag niet hoger zijn dan:

50V ac of 120V dc – in normale omstandigheden

25V ac of 60V dc - bij gevaarlijke condities

12V ac of 30V dc - bij bijzondere gevaren

De Sonel PAT serie maakt het mogelijk om automatische testprocedures uit te voeren. Deze

procedures bestaan uit een aantal individuele testen die achter elkaar worden uitgevoerd. Ook is het

mogelijk om een individuele test uit te voeren.

Individuele testen zijn te vinden onder de knop

Automatische testprocedures zijn te starten met de:

• knop voor klasse I apparatuur

• knop voor Klasse II en het gros van de Klasse III apparatuur

• knop voor het testen van IEC snoeren en verlengsnoeren

Aanvullend aan deze metingen kunnen deze PAT testers ook draagbare aardlekschakelaars testen.

(draagbare aardlekschakelaars zitten ingebouwd in sommige aansluitsnoeren van apparatuur of

verlengsnoeren) Deze testen kunnen worden uitgevoerd met de functie onder de knop.

(Alleen op de PAT 2E en PAT 10 beschikbaar)

Manuele testen

In de manuele testmodus is het mogelijk om alle testen die het apparaat kan uitvoeren, individueel

uit te voeren. Druk op (LED wordt ingeschakeld) om te schakelen tussen alle

losse testen. De testen waartussen u kunt schakelen zijn:

• - visuele inspectie

• - Beschermingsleidingstest met 200mA

• - Beschermingsleidingstest met 10A (Alleen op de PAT10 beschikbaar)

• - Isolatieweerstandtest met 250V (Alleen op PAT10 en PAT2E)
