Daarbij wordt zowel WPA1/TKIP als WPA2/AES
ondersteund. De Webbox kiest vervolgens
automatisch één van beide.
Indien uw modem of router van
WPA1 naar
WPA2 overschakelt, dan
is het noodzakelijk dat de procedure voor de draadloze verbinding
opnieuw wordt doorlopen.
PSK staat voor Pre
Shared
Key (ook wel eens personal
genoemd). Dit is de standaardmethode voor het ingeven van de
beveiligingssleutel. Dit in tegenstelling tot de Radius - of
Enterprise -methode die theoretisch alleen door bedrijven gebruikt
kan worden.
WEP kan problemen geven omdat er vier beveiligingssleutels
gedefinieerd kunnen worden. De Webbox werkt alleen met de eerste
sleutel; normaal gesproken ook de enige die ingegeven wordt.
WEP-beveiligingssleutels moeten als hexadecimaal getal worden
ingegeven. Dit is een code die naast cijfers ook uit de letters A tot en
met F kan bestaan (hoofdletter ongevoelig,
WEP64 heeft 10 en
WEP128 heeft 26
hex-getallen).
De Webbox meldt zelf niet of de methode
WPA1 of
WPA2 actief is.
In beide gevallen zal op het moment dat de beveiligingssleutel kan
worden ingevoerd de melding [Enter WPA
key ] zichtbaar zijn in het
scherm.
Sommige modems of
routers hebben speciale merkspecifieke
instellingen. We adviseren u om hier niets aan te wijzigen.
