Cleaning the blender base
CAUTION: Always first unplug the power cord before you clean the blender base. Never pour water or other
liquids over the blender base, and never let water run into the base or around the base. Never immerse the
blender base in liquid or place it on wet or damp surfaces. Immediately wipe up spilt liquids. There are air vents
in the underneath of the blender base. Take care that water cannot run or drip into these openings.
1. Unplug the power cord from the socket.
2. Wipe the blender base with a damp cloth that does not drip.
CAUTION: Do not damage the drive wheel or the bearing of the drive wheel in the middle of the holder. Never
poke around in the holder of the blender base with solid, hard objects. If necessary, use a soft brush to clean
the holder. If liquid has entered the blender base holder, carefully clean and dry the holder.
3. Carefully dry the appliance. The complete blender base must be completely dry before you reassemble and
use the appliance.
Storage
Assemble the mixing jug correctly and completely for storage in order to avoid injury from the blades, and to
prevent loosing the components. Place the mixing jug in the holder of the blender base. This is the best way to
protect the gasket, the blade assembly, and the drive wheel against dirt and damage.
CAUTION: never place the bottom of the jug or the blade assembly on the blender base without the mixing jug.
When the blender base and the mixing jug are firmly locked together you can easily lift and carry the complete
appliance by the mixing jug handle. Always support the blender base by placing the other hand under the base
and hold the power cord.
Important: Do not let the power cord drag across the floor, and take care that the power cord does not get
stuck or caught up. Store the appliance in a clean, dry place, where it is protected from excessive harmful
effects (impacts, blows, dirt and damp), and where young children cannot reach it. Do not place any heavy
objects on top of the appliance. The storage place should be frost-free, and should not be hotter than 40°C.
