be several reasons for it? You will nd a number
of useful tips under the heading recipes. They are
based upon our practical experience.
CLEANING
Prior to cleaning unplug appliance.
Clean with a paper towel while the appliance is still
warm.
Remains of batter are best removed with a soft brush.
Never use pointed objects or hard brushes.
Never submerge appliance in water.
After cleaning you can roll up your cable, depending
upon the type of appliance you have. You can put

A few more Hints
a) The mufn mixture should be fairly thick, but uid
enough to drop off a spoon. Use enough to drop off
a spoon. Use enough mixture to ensure it lls the
baking surfaces.
b) When made, do not pile the mufns on top of one
another, otherwise they will soften. Place them on a
wire rack to cool down and then sprinkle with icing
sugar.
c) If you prefer crispy mufns, substitute the milk with
water. Milk makes cakes softer and darker in color
and use a lower heat setting.
d) Use only best quality our.
e) If the mufns are spotty, perhaps the ingredients use
was of different temperature. To ensure a consistent
color and result, take all ingredients out of the
refrigerator an hour beforehand.
We particularly recommend using very soft butter,
and that the ingredients are thoroughly mixed.
f) Do not use too much baking powder.
g) If the mixture is too thin, try adding a few ne bread
crumbs.
h) Mufns are at their best when eaten warm. If you
want to store them, use a mixture with a higher fat
content and allow them to cool down before storing in
an air-tight tin. Or store in the deep freezer.
i) All types of mufns can be made, but before
experimenting too much, do at least gain some
experience of preparing them to the basic recipes.
j) If the cakes are not to your liking, please don’t
blame the appliance. Check rst that you are using it
correctly and that the mixture is right.
