PARTS OF THE TOASTER
OPERATION
1. Only connect the unit to a properly installed and
earthed power socket (220-240V~50Hz).
2. To set the toasting level turn the selector clockwise
from the lightest level -1- to the darkest -6. If you are
not sure, start with a lower level.
3. Insert one slice of bread per toasting slot and lower
the slot with the lever until it snaps into place.
4. The unit starts to toast and switches off automatically
at the end. The slide pops up automatically.
5. Allow the unit to cool down before you put it away.
FROZEN: To defrost and to complete the toasting
of deep-frozen bread.
REHEAT: To warm bread already toasted.
CANCEL: For the anticipated stopping of the
toasting procedure.
CLEANING
Pull the mains plug out of the mains socket before
you clean the unit and allow the unit to cool down.
Only use a slightly damp cloth to clean the outside of
the unit.
Do not use abrasive or aggressive cleaners.
Push to open the crumb tray out, remove any bits of
bread and put the tray back in.
STORAGE
Make sure the appliance is unplugged and allow it to
cool down before storing it.
Clean the device before storing it (see Maintenance
section).
The power cord should be wrapped around the
bottom of the base for storing.
Store the appliance in a cool and dry place.
The device can be stored in a vertical position.

AUTOMATIC CENTERING GUIDES
Lowering the toasting lever closes the centering
guides, and holds the bread or toaster food centrally
in the toasting slots.
Note: The toasting lever(s) will not lock down unless
the toaster is plugged into a 220-240V AC electrical
outlet.
ADDITIONAL USAGE TIPS
Use the Toaster on a hard, flat surface. Do not place
it near a flame or heat or on a soft surface (such
as carpet). Avoid placing it where it may tip over
during use. Dropping the toaster could cause it to
malfunction.
WARNING: ELECTRICAL SHOCK HAZARD. Never
attempt to dislodge food inside the Toaster while it is
plugged in. Doing so could cause an electrical shock
hazard or a risk of fire
CAUTION: This appliance is hot during operation
and retains heat for some time after turning off.
Always use oven mitts when handling hot material
and allow metal parts to cool before cleaning. Do
not place anything on top of the toaster while it is
operating or while it is hot.
CAUTION:
DO NOT toast pastries with runny fillings or frosting
DO NOT toast torn slices of bread.
DO NOT place buttered bread or wrapped food into
the toaster.
DO NOT toast small-size bread, mini-baguettes,
bread sticks, etc.
NOTE: When toasting a single slice, the bread may
be placed in any toasting slot.
NOTE: To prevent a fire hazard, never place bread
over the opening of the toaster, always place bread
into the slots.
NOTE: DO NOT change the browning selector knob
selection during the toasting cycle. First press the
CANCEL button; then turn the browning selector
knob to adjust the browning lever. Lower the toasting
lever and toast until the desired toast color is
achieved.
IMPORTANT: Never use a fork or sharp-edged
utensil to remove toast, because that may damage
the heating element or cause injury.
NOTE: To interrupt toasting, press the corresponding
CANCEL button
