8. Place the water tank into the housing and
ensure that the water tank is inserted se-
curely and correctly.

6. Daily use and operation
Switching on and off (ON/OFF)
Push the power switch (F) to switch the
Airfresh Hygro 500 on or off. When switched
on, the display (G) will display the current
relative ambient air humidity. (At first use, the
device starts at medium humidification level).
Setting the target humidity
Set the desired humidity in % by
pushing the key (H). The value will be
shown on the display while you set
the desired humidity. After a few sec-
onds, the display automatically
switches to the currently measured
value. We recommend a relative air
humidity between 40 % and 60 %.
The device can be set between 40 %
to 80 %. The device shuts off as soon
as the pre-set air humidity is exceed-
ed. The device does not shut off while
in continuous operation (CO).
Setting the operating time
Push the key (I) to set the desired op-
erating time. Select between 1 and 12
hours or CO for continuous operation
of the device:

Changing the fan speed
Push the key (J) to select the fan
speed and thus the desired intensity
of humidity output:
Low – Medium – High
Automatic setting
Automatic setting (K) monitors the air
humidity in the room and adjusts the
output to maintain an ideal air humidi-
ty of 50 %.
Water tank is empty
A red symbol appears on the display
if there is no water in the tank and the
device shuts off automatically. Fill the
water tank as described in Chapter 5.
7. Cleaning and care
Proceed as follows to clean the device:
1. Switch the device off and disconnect the
power plug.
2. Remove the water tank (1.1).
3. Lift the upper housing from the bottom
housing to better reach the parts in the
lower housing. (1.2)
4. Remove the filter (1.3).
5. Rinse the bottom housing with warm
water and a soft cloth.
6. Place the upper housing back on the
lower housing. Place the water tank into
the housing and ensure that the water
tank is inserted securely and correctly.
Cleaning the housing
Clean the housing of Airfresh Hygro 500 with
a slightly damp cloth.
Useful cleaning information:
Use a solution of 50:50 vinegar and water or
a 3:1 solution of vinegar essence and water.
Do not use abrasive or corrosive cleaners.
Daily maintenance
Fill tank with clean water. Clean the bottom
housing with warm water and a soft cloth
once every 10 to 14 days.
