2. Erste Schritte
2.1 Inbetriebnahme
2.1.1 Legen Sie eine gültige GSM-SIM-Karte in den SIM-Kartenschlitz auf der linken
Seite des SPT220 ein. Verwenden Sie hierzu möglichst das mitgelieferte Werkzeug
zum Einschieben der SIM-Karte.
2.1.2 Legen Sie den SPT220 in einen offenen Bereich, und halten Sie die EIN/AUS-Taste
(Power) für zwei Sekunden gedrückt, um das Gerät zu starten.
2.1.3 Innerhalb von ca. 30 Sekunden sollte das Gerät eine Verbindung zum GSM-
Netz aufgebaut haben. Wenn das Gerät eine Verbindung zum GSM-Netz hat, blinkt
die GSM-Leuchte einmal pro Sekunde hell. Beim Suchen des GSM-Netzes blinkt die
Anzeigeleuchte jede Sekunde schwach, bis das GSM-Signal gefunden wurde.
2.1.4 Während das Gerät eine Verbindung zum GSM-Netz aufbaut, versucht es
ebenfalls, das GPS-Signal zu finden. Wenn das Gerät nach GPS-Satellitensignalen
sucht, blinkt die GPS-Anzeige einmal pro Sekunde. Sobald die GPS-Verbindung
hergestellt wurde, leuchtet die GPS-Anzeige kontinuierlich.
2.1.5 Wenn sowohl das GPS- als auch das GSM-Signal erkannt wird, ist das Gerät
einsatzbereit.
2.2 Nutzung
2.2.1 Festlegen autorisierter Benutzer
Nach dem Erwerb des SPT220 sollten Sie die autorisierten Benutzer umgehend
festlegen. Das Gerät lässt sich auch ohne festgelegte autorisierte Benutzer verwenden.
So legen Sie autorisierte Benutzer fest: Setzen Sie die SIM-Karte in ein Mobiltelefon
ein, und legen Sie im Telefonbuch vier Nummern als Kontakte fest. Speichern Sie diese
Nummern auf der SIM-Karte (nicht im internen Gerätespeicher des Mobiltelefons).
Falls Sie mehr als vier Kontakte speichern, identifiziert der SPT220 die ersten vier
Nummern als autorisierte Benutzer.
