M215SC User Manual Appendix 1 - Base Station Settings
Network Time Settings Description
Enable Network Time Enables or disables getting time and date information for your phone from the
Internet.
NTP Server If Enable Network Time is selected, enter the URL of your preferred time server.
Use DHCP (Option 42) If Enable Network Time is selected, select to use DHCP to locate the time server.
Option 42 species the NTP server available to the phone. When enabled, the phone
obtains the time in the following priority:
1. Option 42
2. NTP Server
3. Manual time
If Enable Network Time is disabled or if the time server is not available, use Manual Time Settings to set the
current time. After entering the date and time, click the Apply Now button to start the phone using the manual
settings.
Time Zone and Daylight Saving
Settings
Description
Time Zone Select your time zone from the list.
Automatically adjust clock for
Daylight Saving
Select to adjust the clock for daylight saving time according to the NTP server and
time zone setting. To disable daylight saving time adjustment, disable both this
setting and User-dened DST.
User-dened DST Select to set your own start and end dates and oset for daylight saving time.
To disable daylight saving adjustment, disable both this setting and the setting
Automatically adjust clock for Daylight Saving.
Daylight savings start If User-dened DST is enabled, select the month, week of the month, day of the week,
and the time for the start of daylight saving from the respective drop-down menu.
Daylight savings end If User-dened DST is enabled, select the month, week of the month, day of the week,
and the time for the end of daylight saving from the respective drop-down menu.
Daylight Saving Oset (minutes) If User-dened DST is enabled, this species the daylight saving adjustment (in
minutes) to be applied when the current time is between Daylight Saving Start and
Daylight Saving End. The default is 60 minutes.
Use DHCP (Option 2/100/101) If Enable Network Time is selected, select to use DHCP to determine the time zone
oset. Options 2, 100 and 101 determine time zone information.
Manual Time Settings Description
If Enable Network Time is disabled or if the time server is not available, use Manual Time Settings to set the
current time. After entering the date and time, click the Apply Now button to start the phone using the manual
settings.
Date Select the current year, month, and day. Click the Date eld and select the date from
the calendar that appears.
Time Sets the current hour, minute, and second. Click the Time eld, and enter the current
time. You can also refresh the page to update the manual time settings.
Importing a custom language
You can import one custom language for use on the web user interface. It is added to the existing languages
available with the rmware. The custom language can only be imported via provisioning, using the
conguration le.
On the Export Translation page, you can export language strings for the WUI language selected in the drop-
down menu. You can use the resulting le as the basis for a custom language translation le (.tpk le).
Select the language from the drop-down menu and click Export and select the directory the le is to be
exported to. The le extension is .tpk, e.g., M400SC-en-webui.tpk for the English language le.
