Installation
The installed appliance must not be less than 65 cm. above
electric burners and 75 cm. above gas or mixed burners.
The duct must be directed straight to the ceiling or
to the wall behind.
The duct must be slightly slanted upwards (about 10%)
in horizontal sections to expel air easily to the outside.
Electrical connection: The electrical tension must
correspond to the tension noted on the label placed inside
the cooker hood. Connect the electrical plug, where
provided, to the an easily accessible outlet in conformity
with local standards in force.
Where an electrical plug is not provided (for direct
connection to electrical network) place a standards approved
bipolar switch with an aperture distance of not less than
3mm (accessible) from the contacts.
Fastening the hood
a) With a pencil trace a line on the wall corresponding with
the centre line of the hood to facilitate positioning and
installing of the hood (Fig. 2).
b) Position the template correctly position and make two
Ø8 mm. holes (Fig. 3 - the lower edge of the template
corresponds with the lower edge of the hood and the
hatched line must correspond with the line traced on
the wall behind).
c) Insert two expansion plugs in the holes (Fig. 3).
d) Fasten the hood bracket with two 5x45 screws (Fig.
3).
e) Hook the hood to the bracket and level it by turning the
screws on the side behind the hood outlet as necessary
(Fig. 4).
f) Make sure the line traced on the wall is perfectly central
compared to the hood (Fig. 5).
g) Once the right position is established, mark with a
pencil the positions of the fastening bottom and upper
holes (Fig. 5) and measure the distance between the
connecting ring and the point where the exhaust duct
is to pass in order to establish the length of the duct.
h) Disassemble the upper support B from the telescopic
flue by removing the two screws C (one on each side)
and put them aside for future use (Fig. 6).
i) Remove the two screws joining deflector D to upper
support B and put them aside for future use (Fig. 6)
j) Fasten the upper support B ( Fig. 6) of the telescopic
flue to the wall behind and to the ceiling on the hood
perpendicular; for this operation make four Ø8 mm.
holes, insert the expansion plugs and fasten the
support with four 5x45 mm. screws.
The centre axis of the support must coincide with the
line drawn on the wall.
For filter version only (with carbon filter mounted
inside the exhaust unit)
Remount the deflector under the telescopic flue support
with two screws (see point “i”); the deflector will reroute
fumes inside the room.
k) Remove the hood and make four Ø8 mm. holes on the
previously marked points and insert the expansion
plugs (Fig. 7).
l) Before positioning the hood, fasten a duct to the
connecting ring of the internal exhaust unit and pass
the duct through the hood outlet hole.
m) Fasten the hood firmly with four screws, two in the
upper holes (plus two washers), two in the bottom
ones (Fig. 7 - the screws in the bottom holes also serve
to fasten the holder hook).
n) Connect the discharge pipe for venting cooking fumes
to the outside (exhaust version) or connect the pipe
directly to the deflector (filter version).
o) Finally fasten the telescopic flue with four screws by
inserting them from the outside in the two top and bottom
holes on the right and left sides of the flue (Fig. 6).
Assembly of the shelf (Optional)
Fasten the four side supports at the desired height and
place the shelf on them (Fig. 8).
Cleaning
To clean the outside of the hood, a cloth moistened with
denatured alcohol or neutral liquid detergents.
Do not use products that contain abrasives.
When cleaning glazed stainless steel parts, pass the cloth
in the same direction as the glazing.
Attention
To avoid risk of fire, observe these rules for cleaning the
appliance and replacing and cleaning the filters.
Follow instructions closely.
