Adjusting bevel cutting angle 9
- loosen screw J
- adjust footplate K to required angle
- tighten screw J
Operating the tool
- before switching on the tool, ensure that front end of
footplate rests flat on the workpiece
- hold tool firmly with both hands, so you will have full
control of the tool at all times
- ensure that complete surface of footplate rests firmly
on the workpiece
- ensure that the blade has come to a complete
standstill, before you lift the tool from the workpiece
- keep the ventilation slots uncovered
- use a stable support when cutting smaller or thin
workpieces
APPLICATION ADVICE
Use the appropriate saw blades 0
Splinter free cutting (plywood or similar material) 9
- set foot K horizontal
- remove screw J
- push foot forward, so that slot L covers blade on both
sides
- mount screw J
Splinter free cutting is impossible in:
- bevel-cutting position
- auto-scroller position
Because of the strong heating that occurs when sawing
metal, apply a cooling or lubricating product along the
cutting line
Plunge cutting !
! to be used only on soft materials, such as wood,
plaster boards, etc.
- not necessary to pre-drill a hole
- possible only with short saw blades
For making parallel cuts or circular cut-outs a rip fence/
circular guide (SKIL accessory 94500) can be used @

! disconnect the plug before cleaning
Protect uncoated saw blades from corrosion with a thin
coat of acid-free oil (remove oil again before use to
prevent spotting of wood)

SECURITE
Lire et conserver ce manuel d'instruction (faire en

Garder toujours le câble éloigné des parties mobiles de
votre outil
Si le câble est endommagé ou rompu pendant le travail,
ne pas y toucher, mais immédiatement débrancher la
prise
N'utiliser jamais d'outil avec un câble endommagé;
faites-le remplacer par un technicien qualifié
Ne pas couper des matériaux composés damiante
Ne pas utiliser une lame fendue, déformée ou
émoussée
Eviter de laisser les mains près de la lame de scie
lorsque loutil est en marche
Enlever tout corps étranger du tracé avant deffectuer
toute coupe
Toujours débrancher l’outil avec tout réglage ou
changement d’accessoire
Porter un masque de protection lors de travaux sur des
matériaux produisant des poussières nuisibles à la
santé; toujours sinformer de la technicité de ces
matériaux avant de travailler avec ceux-ci
Porter des lunettes protectrices lors de travaux sur des
pièces productrices de copeaux
Faites attention aux vis, clous ou autres éléments qui
pourraient se trouver dans la pièce à travailler et qui
risqueraient dendommager très fortement votre outil;
d'abord les enlever puis travailler
Contrôler le fonctionnement de loutil avant chaque
manipulation et, en cas danomalies, faire réparer
immédiatement par une personne qualifiée; ne jamais
ouvrir loutil soi-même
Toujours contrôler si la tension secteur correspond à la
tension indiquée sur la plaquette signalétique de loutil
(les outils conçus pour une tension de 230V ou 240V
peuvent également être branchés sur 220V)
En cas dusage à lextérieur, brancher loutil par
lintermédiaire dun coupe-circuit (FI) avec courant de
réaction de 30 mA au maximum, et utiliser uniquement
un câble de prolongement spécial pour lextérieur
équipé dune prise résistant aux éclaboussures
Le niveau sonore en fonctionnement peut dépasser
85 dB(A); munissez-vous de casques anti-bruit
Lorsque vous rangez votre outil, le moteur doit être
coupé et les pièces mobiles complètement arrêtées
