using the tool for the applications mentioned

-insert the 5m long cutting line into spool hole Q and
push until it protrudes from the other side
-pull the line until equal amounts of line appear on both
sides
-press and rotate in the direction of the arrow L until
approx. 13 cm of line is left on both sides

In case the cutting line fails to protrude from spool hole Q

-press release buttons H to remove the spool cover
-remove the line from the spool
-align and press the spool cover until it snaps into place
-follow "Line replacement" instruction above
MAINTENANCE / SERVICE
This tool is not intended for professional use
Always switch o the tool, remove battery pack, and
ensure that all moving parts have come to a complete
standstill
Always keep tool clean (especially ventilation slots R 2)
-clean the tool with a damp cloth (do not use cleaning
agents or solvents)
-clean line cutting blade K 2 and cutting guard J 2
after each use
-clean ventilation slots R 2 regularly with a brush or
compressed air
Regularly check the condition of the cutting head and the
tightness of nuts, bolts and screws
Regularly check for worn or damaged components and
have them repaired/replaced when necessary
Storage a
-securely mount storage rail M on the wall with 2 screws
(not supplied) and horizontally leveled
-attach the storage adapter N and move it against the
mounting base of the storage rail M
-store the tool with the storage hole in the handle over
the tip of the storage adapter
If the tool should fail despite the care taken in
manufacturing and testing procedures, repair should
be carried out by an after-sales service centre for SKIL
power tools
-send the tool undismantled together with proof of
purchase to your dealer or the nearest SKIL service
station (addresses as well as the service diagram of the
tool are listed on www.skil.com)
Be aware that damage due to overload or improper
handling of the product will be excluded from the
warranty (for the SKIL warranty conditions see
www.skil.com or ask your dealer)
