Route naam – elke route kan voor snelle identificatie van een naam worden
voorzien.
SDGPS – Satellite Differential Global Positioning System – voorziet in
verschaffen van positie correcties van ontvangen satelliet signalen (WAAS,
EGNOS, en MSAS).
Snelheid – Snelheid Over de Grond, gemeten in knopen, kilometers/uur en
mijlen/uur.
Starboard side (stuurboord) – rechts (groen)
TFT – Thin Film Transistor display (met actieve matrix).
UTC – Universal Time Coordinates: komt overeen met de standaard tijd in
Londen (GMT). UTC wordt niet beïnvloed door lokale zomertijd aanpassingen.
Velocity – snelheid in de richting van het eerstvolgende waypoint (VMG). In
principe is dit begrip niet gerelateerd aan de snelheid over de grond (SOG):
denk b.v. aan het maken van slagen tijdens zeilen naar een WP: tijdens elke
slag zal de VMG lager zijn dan de SOG.
Waypoint naam – voor snelle identificatie kan aan elk waypoint een naam
worden gegeven.
XTE – Cross Track Error (fout dwars op de track) – gemeten afstand van de
positie fout haaks op de gewenste tracklijn.

Dieptemeter sectie (met ingebouwde dieptemeter):
Alarmen – kunnen worden ingesteld op het geven van een hoorbaar signaal
zodra de dieptemeter een object detecteert op een geringere diepte dan de
minimum alarm diepte of op een grotere diepte dan de maximum alarm
diepte. De alarm diepten kunnen vanaf de CX34/44/54 worden ingesteld en
kunnen tevens worden geactiveerd of gedeactiveerd.
A-scope – een afwijkende methode om dieptemeter informatie te tonen. In
de A-scope mode worden de echo’s als staafdiagrammen afgebeeld waarbij
de sterkere echo’s niet alleen door hun kleur worden onderscheiden maar ook
door de breedte van de afbeelding.
