Volumen de suministro
El aparato se suministra de serie con los componentes siguientes:
▯ Tostadora doble
▯ Instrucciones de uso
1) Extraiga el aparato y las instrucciones de uso del cartón.
2) Retire todo el material de embalaje.
ADVERTENCIA
►
Compruebe la integridad de suministro y si hay daños visibles.
► Si el suministro es incompleto o hay daños debido a un embalaje defi ciente
o al transporte, póngase en contacto con la línea directa de asistencia
(véase capítulo Garantía y asistencia técnica).
Evacuación del embalaje
El embalaje protege el aparato durante el transporte. El material de embalaje se
ha seleccionado teniendo en cuenta criterios ecológicos y de técnica de elimina-
ción y por ello es reciclable.
La reintroducción del embalaje en el ciclo de materiales ahorra materias primas
y reduce el volumen de residuos. Evacue los materiales de embalaje que no
sean necesarios según las normativas locales aplicables.
ADVERTENCIA
►
Si es posible, conserve el embalaje original durante el periodo de garantía
del aparato para poder empaquetarlo correctamente en caso de aplica-
ción de la garantía.

Indicaciones de seguridad
PELIGRO DE ELECTROCUCIÓN
► Deje que un especialista cambie inmediatamente
el cable de red dañado o la clavija de red, para
evitar riesgos.
► Utilice el aparato únicamente en espacios secos,
no al aire libre.
¡No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua ni
en otros líquidos! De lo contrario, existe
peligro de muerte por descarga eléctrica.
► No introduzca nunca cubiertos u otros objetos
metálicos en los compartimentos para tostar.
► Asegúrese de que el aparato no pueda entrar
nunca en contacto con el agua. No utilice el
aparato cerca del agua o junto a recipientes que
contenga líquido.
► Preste atención a que el cable de red no se moje
ni humedezca cuando está funcionando. Tiéndalo
de modo que no pueda ser aplastado o dañado
de forma alguna.
► Después del uso extraiga siempre la clavija de
red de la base de enchufe, para evitar una reco-
nexión involuntaria.

¡ADVERTENCIA! ¡PELIGRO DE
LESIONES!
► Este aparato puede ser utilizado por niños a par-
tir de 8 años así como por personas con reduci-
das capacidades físicas, sensoriales o mentales
o a
su falta de experiencia o de conocimientos, siem-
pre que sea bajo supervisión, o bien hayan sido
instruidas como usar el aparato de forma segura
y comprendido los peligros que entraña.
► Los niños no deben jugar con el aparato.
► La limpieza y el mantenimiento de usuario no
debe ser realizado por niños, al no ser que ten-
gan más de 8 años y supervisados por un adul-
to. Los niños menores de 8 años se han de man-
tener alejados del aparato
y de la línea de conexión.
► Los componentes del aparato se calientan du-
rante el funcionamiento del mismo. Por lo tanto,
toque sólo los elementos de operación.
► Utilice el aparato solamente sobre una superfi cie
estable, antideslizante y plana.
► No utilice ningún tipo de temporizador externo
o un sistema de control remoto para accionar el
aparato.
► Antes de utilizar el aparato desenrolle totalmente
el cable de red del enrollacables.

¡ATENCIÓN - RIESGO DE INCENDIO!
► ¡El producto que se va a tostar puede arder! Por
ello, no coloque el aparato nunca cerca ni bajo
objetos infl amables, especialmente no lo coloque
bajo cortinas ni armarios colgantes.
► No se debe utilizar el aparato cerca de materia-
les infl amables.
► No cubra la tostadora mientras esté en funcio-
namiento.
Consejos para el uso
■ No utilice rebanadas demasiado grandes ni gruesas, pues se atascan fácil-
mente. Si se atascan las rebanadas de pan, extraiga primero la clavija de
red de la base de enchufe. Para sacar las rebanadas de pan atascadas
utilice una varilla de madera sin punta (p. ej. el mango de un pincel).
Al hacerlo no toque las resistencias.
■ Las diferencias entre los tipos de pan, así como la humedad y el espesor de
cada rebanada, infl uyen sobre el tueste del pan. Por este motivo se debe
conservar el pan si es posible en un envase cerrado. Pruebe primero un
grado de tueste menor.
■ Utilice un nivel de tueste bajo si desea tostar pan seco ya que el pan seco
se tuesta más rápidamente que el pan recién hecho.
■ Ajuste un nivel de tueste más bajo si sólo desea tostar una rebanada de
pan.
■ Seleccione para pan oscuro un grado de tueste mayor que para panes más
blancos, p. ej. pan blanco.
■ Los números del regulador de intensidad de tueste 3 no son indicaciones
de tiempo. Sirven sólo como consigna para el grado de tueste.
■ Para evitar un sobrecalentamiento de la tostadora y lograr un tueste uniforme
del pan, espere unos 15 s aprox. entre dos procesos de tueste.
■ El nivel más alto en el regulador de tueste 3 sólo lo debería usarlo para
rebanadas grandes de pan oscuro. El pan blanco se quemaría con este
nivel de tueste y tendría un mal sabor. Además se podría generar mucho
humo Pulse en este caso la tecla "Stop" 9 de inmediato y extraiga la clavija
de red de la base de enchufe.

Antes de la primera puesta en funcionamiento
■ Utilice la tostadora 5 sin tostada a grado de tueste máximo ajuste (6).
■ Limpie a continuación la tostadora como se describe en el capítulo "Limpieza".
ADVERTENCIA
►
La tecla de mando 2 encaja sólo estando el cable de alimentación
conectado.
► En el primer uso es posible que se produzca un ligero olor (también puede
generarse un poco de humo). Esto es normal y cesa al poco tiempo.
Procure que haya sufi ciente ventilación. Abra, por ejemplo, una ventana.
Manejo
Ajustar el grado de tueste
Puede ajustar progresivamente el grado de tueste deseado de "claro" (1) a
"oscuro" (6) con el regulador de intensidad de tueste 3. El ajuste
sirve
para recalentar pan ya tostado.
ADVERTENCIA
►
¡Tenga en cuenta, que según la carga de la tostadora, el grado de tueste
puede variar aun manteniendo el mismo ajuste en el regulador de intensidad
de tueste 3 ! Cuantas menos tostadas introduzca, mayor será su grado
de tueste. Por lo tanto, ajuste el regulador de intensidad de tueste 3
siempre en un nivel algo inferior si la carga es escasa.
Tueste
¡ATENCIÓN - RIESGO DE INCENDIO!
►
No cubra el compartimiento para tostar 7 mientras la tostadora está
en funcionamiento. ¡Existe riesgo de incendio! ¡Esto podría estropear el
aparato de forma irreparable!
1) Después de ajustar el grado de tueste deseado coloque el pan en el
compartimento para tostar 7.
2) Pulse la tecla de mando 2 hacia abajo. El centrado automático del pan
centra el pan colocado en el compartimento para tostar 7. Durante el pro-
ceso de tueste se ilumina la tecla "Stop" 9 del piloto de control integrado.
3) Si se alcanza el grado de tueste elegido, se desconecta la tostadora auto-
máticamente y las rebanadas de pan vuelven a salir hacia arriba, el piloto
de control se apaga.

Interrumpir el proceso de tostado
Si desea interrumpir el proceso de tostado, pulse la tecla "Stop" 9. La tostadora
se apaga y las rebanadas de pan vuelven a salir hacia arriba.
Función de calentar
La función de calentar le permite calentar el pan sin tostarlo. Por ejemplo si se
ha enfriado el pan ya tostado. El pan se calienta sólo brevemente.
1) Ajuste el regulador de tueste 3 a la posición
.
2) Introduzca el pan y pulse la tecla de mando 2 hacia abajo.
3) Una vez que se ha vuelto a calentar el pan, el aparato se desconecta
automáticamente y las rebanadas salen hacia arriba.
Función de descongelar
Accionando la tecla "Descongelar" 8 se puede descongelar pan para tostar
congelado y tostarlo. Para ello, la tostadora calienta el pan lentamente.
1) Después de ajustar el grado de tueste deseado coloque el pan en el com-
partimento para tostar 7.
2) Pulse la tecla de mando 2 hacia abajo.
3) Pulse la tecla "Descongelar"
8. El piloto integrado se ilumina.
4) Finalizado el proceso de descongelación y de tueste, la tostadora se desco-
necta automáticamente, también sea apaga el piloto de control integrado
en la teclas de "Descongelar"
8 y las rebanadas de pan salen de
nuevo hacia arriba.
Calentar panecillos quedando crujientes
No coloque nunca los panecillos directamente sobre la tostadora, utilice siempre
el accesorio para panecillos 1.
1) Pulse la tecla del "accesorio para panecillos" 6
hacia abajo hasta que
éste salga por completo.
2) Coloque los panecillos encima e inicie el proceso de tostado. Coloque el
regulador de intensidad de tueste 3 en el nivel 3 (
).
ADVERTENCIA
►
Coloque los panecillos en el accesorio para panecillos 1, de manera que
no puedan caerse a través del accesorio para panecillos 1.
► Los panecillos están muy calientes al fi nalizar el proceso de tostado.

3) En cuanto la tostadora se desconecte, dé la vuelta al panecillo para que
se tueste por el otro lado y vuelva a conectar la tostadora.
4) Coloque el accesorio para panecillos 1 de vuelta a su posición inicial, deslizan-
do nuevamente hacia arriba la tecla del "accesorio para panecillos" 6
.
Compartimento para migas
Durante el tueste se acumulan las migas desprendidas en el compartimiento
para migas 5.
1) Para retirar las migas extraiga el compartimento para migas 5 lateralmente.
2) Retire las migas.
3) Vuelva a deslizar el cajón de las migas 5 de nuevo dentro de la tostadora
hasta escuchar como encastra.
Limpieza
PELIGRO DE ELECTROCUCIÓN
► Desenchufe primero la clavija de la toma de corriente, antes de limpiar el
aparato.
¡No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua ni en otros líquidos! De lo
contrario, existe peligro de muerte por descarga eléctrica.
¡ADVERTENCIA! ¡PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► Previa limpieza deje que se enfríe la tostadora. ¡Peligro de quemaduras!
¡ATENCIÓN - DAÑOS MATERIALES!
►
No utilice productos de limpieza agresivos ni abrasivos. Dichas sustancias
corroen la superfi cie del aparato.
■ Limpie la carcasa con un paño seco o un trapo ligeramente humedecido.
■ Vacíe en intervalos regulares el cajón de las migas 5, para evitar el riesgo
de incendio.
Almacenaje
■ Guarde la tostadora en un lugar seco.
■ Limpie la tostadora como se describe en el capítulo "Cuidado y limpieza".
■ Enrolle el cable de red en el enrollacables 4 situado en la parte inferior de
la tostadora y fi je el extremo del cable con la pinza.

Evacuación
En ningún caso deberá tirar el aparato a la basura doméstica.
Este producto está sujeto a la directiva europea 2002/96/EC-
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Evacue el aparato en un centro de evacuación autorizado a través de las insta-
laciones de evacuación comunitarias. Preste atención a las normas en vigor. En
caso de dudas póngase en contacto con su centro de evacuación.
Garantía y asistencia técnica
Con este aparato recibe usted 3 años de garantía desde la fecha de compra.
El aparato ha sido fabricado cuidadosamente y ha sido probado antes de su
entrega.
Guarde el comprobante de caja como justifi cante de compra. Si necesitara
hacer uso de la garantía, póngase en contacto por teléfono con su punto de
servicio habitual. Éste es el único modo de garantizar un envío gratuito.
ADVERTENCIA
►
La garantía cubre los defectos de fabricación o del material, pero no por
daños de transporte, las piezas sujetas a desgaste y los daños sufridos por
las piezas frágiles (p. ej. el interruptor o las pilas).
El producto ha sido diseñado únicamente para el uso privado y no para el uso
comercial. En caso de manipulación indebida e incorrecta, uso de la fuerza y
en caso de abrir el aparato personas extrañas a nuestros centros de asistencia
técnica autorizados, la garantía pierde su validez.
Sus derechos legales no se ven limitados por esta garantía. El tiempo de garantía
no se prolonga debido a prestaciones de garantía. Esto es válido también para
piezas sustituidas y reparadas.
Los posibles defectos o daños detectados al desembalar el aparato se han de
notifi car de inmediato o como muy tarde 2 días desde la fecha de compra.
Todas las reparaciones fi nalizado el tiempo de garantía se han de pagar.
El tiempo de garantía no se prolonga debido a prestaciones de garantía.
Esto es válido también para piezas sustituidas y reparadas.

Volume della fornitura
La fornitura standard dell'apparecchio comprende i seguenti componenti:

▯ Istruzioni per l'uso
1) Rimuovere l'apparecchio e il manuale di istruzioni dal cartone.
2) Rimuovere completamente il materiale di imballaggio.
AVVERTENZA

Controllare la completezza e integrità della fornitura in relazione ai danni
visibili.
► In caso di fornitura incompleta o in presenza di danni derivanti da imballag-
gio insuffi ciente o causati dal trasporto, rivolgersi alla Hotline di assistenza
(v. capitolo Garanzia e assistenza).
Smaltimento della confezione
L'imballaggio protegge l'apparecchio dai danni da trasporto. I materiali di
imballaggio sono stati selezionati in relazione alla loro ecocompatibilità e
alle caratteristiche di smaltimento, e pertanto sono riciclabili.
Il riciclo dell'imballaggio consente di risparmiare materie prime e riduce la
generazione di rifi uti. Smaltire il materiale di imballaggio inutilizzato in con-
formità alle norme vigenti localmente.
AVVERTENZA

Durante il periodo di validità della garanzia, se possibile, conservare
l'imballaggio originale, per poter imballare adeguatamente l'apparecchio
in caso di intervento in garanzia.

Indicazioni di sicurezza
PERICOLO DI SCOSSA ELETTRICA
► Fare sostituire immediatamente il cavo o la spina
di rete danneggiato da personale specializzato
autorizzato, per evitare pericoli.
► Utilizzare l'apparecchio solo in ambienti asciutti,
non all'aperto.
Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua
o altri liquidi! In caso contrario, sussiste il
pericolo di morte per folgorazione.
► Non inserire mai posate o altri oggetti metallici
nel vano di tostatura.
► Impedire che l'apparecchio venga a contatto con
l'acqua. Non azionare mai l'apparecchio nelle
vicinanze di acqua o di contenitori pieni
d'acqua.
► Impedire che il cavo di rete si bagni o inumidisca
durante l'uso dell'apparecchio. Disporlo in modo
tale che non venga schiacciato o possa essere
danneggiato in altro modo.
► Dopo l'uso staccare sempre la spina dalla presa
di rete, per evitare un'accensione involontaria
dell'apparecchio.

AVVISO! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Questo apparecchio può essere utilizzato dai
bambini di almeno 8 anni di età e da persone
con capacità fi siche, sensoriali o mentali ridotte
o insuffi ciente esperienza o conoscenza solo se
sorvegliati o istruiti sull'uso sicuro
dell'apparecchio e qualora ne abbiano compre-
so i risultanti pericoli.
► I bambini non devono giocare con
l'apparecchio.
► La pulizia e la manutenzione a cura dell'utente
non devono essere eseguiti dai bambini, a meno
che non abbiano almeno 8 anni di età e non
siano sorvegliati. Tenere lontano dall'apparec-
chio i bambini di età inferiore agli 8 anni.
► I componenti dell'apparecchio possono
surriscaldarsi durante l'uso. Toccare quindi solo gli
elementi di comando.
► Azionare l’apparecchio solo su una superfi cie
stabile, antisdrucciolevole e piana.
► Non utilizzare timer esterni o un sistema di
telecomando separato per azionare
l’apparecchio.
► Svolgere sempre completamente il cavo dal
dispositivo di avvolgimento del cavo prima di
utilizzare l’apparecchio.

ATTENZIONE - PERICOLO DI INCENDIO!
► Gli alimenti in cottura possono incendiarsi!
Pertanto, non posizionare mai l'apparecchio in
prossimità o al di sotto di oggetti infi ammabili, in
particolare sotto tendine o pensili.
► L'apparecchio non deve essere utilizzato nelle
immediate vicinanze di materiali infi ammabili.
► Non coprire mai il tostapane mentre è in
funzione.
Consigli per l'uso
■ Non utilizzare fette troppo grosse o troppo spesse, poiché potrebbero inca-
strarsi facilmente. Se le fette di pane si incastrassero, staccare prima la spina
dalla presa di rete. Staccare le fette di pane incastrato con un bastoncino di
legno non appuntito (ad esempio il manico di un pennello). Nel farlo non
toccare le resistenze.
■ Le diff erenze nel tipo di pane, umidità e spessore delle singole fette infl uiscono
sul grado di doratura del pane da tostare. Si consiglia pertanto di conservare
il pane da tostare in una confezione chiusa. Provare sempre prima con un
grado di doratura più basso.
■ Utilizzare un livello di doratura più basso se si desidera tostare il pane secco,
poiché esso si scurisce più rapidamente rispetto al pane fresco.
■ Impostare un livello di doratura più basso se si desidera tostare solo una
fetta di pane.
■ Per il pane scuro selezionare un grado di tostatura più elevato che per il
pane bianco.
■ Le cifre del regolatore di doratura 3 non rappresentano indicazioni temporali.
Esse servono soltanto come punto di riferimento per il grado di doratura.
■ Per evitare il surriscaldamento del tostapane e ottenere una doratura uniforme
del pane, attendere circa 15 secondi fra un processo di tostatura e l'altro.
■ Il livello più elevato del regolatore di doratura 3 deve essere utilizzato
solo per grosse fette di pane scuro. Il pane bianco si brucerebbe con questo
grado di doratura e non sarebbe commestibile.Inoltre si può sviluppare la
formazione di fumo. In tal caso premere subito il tasto "Stop" 9 ed estrarre
la spina dalla presa di rete.

Prima di utilizzare l'apparecchio per la prima
volta
■ Azionare il tostapane a vuoto 5 volte con l'impostazione di doratura
massima (6).
■ Pulire quindi il tostapane come descritto al capitolo "Pulizia e manutenzione".
AVVERTENZA
►
il tasto di comando 2 si inserisce solo con il cavo di rete collegato.
► Durante il primo impiego può svilupparsi un leggero odore (e anche una
leggera formazione di fumo). Si tratta di un evento normale che cessa
dopo poco tempo. Provvedere a una suffi ciente aerazione. Aprire ad
esempio una fi nestra.
Uso
Regolazione del grado di doratura
Il grado di doratura desiderato da "chiaro" (1) a "scuro" (6) può essere regolato
in continuo con il regolatore di doratura 3. L'impostazione
serve al riscalda-
mento del pane già tostato.
AVVERTENZA
►
Tenere presente che, a seconda della quantità di pane inserita nell'appa-
recchio, il grado di doratura può variare pur rimanendo invariata l'impo-
stazione del regolatore del grado di doratura 3! Minore è il quantitativo
di fette di pane da tostare, maggiore sarà il loro grado di doratura. Per
questo motivo si consiglia di abbassare un po' il regolatore del grado di
doratura 3 in caso di quantitativo ridotto di pane da tostare.
Tostatura
ATTENZIONE - PERICOLO DI INCENDIO!
►
Non coprire i vani di tostatura 7 mentre l'apparecchio è in funzione. Sussiste
il pericolo d'incendio! L'apparecchio potrebbe danneggiarsi irreparabilmente!
1) Dopo aver impostato il grado di doratura desiderato, collocare il pane nel
vano di tostatura 7.
2) Premere il tasto di comando 2 verso il basso. La centratura automatica
consente di centrare il pane inserito nel vano di tostatura 7. Durante il
procedimento di tostatura, la spia di controllo integrata nel tasto "Stop" 9
si accende.
3) Al raggiungimento del grado di doratura desiderato, il tostapane si spegne
automaticamente, la spia di controllo si spegne e le fette di pane vengono
espulse verso l'alto.

Interruzione del procedimento di tostatura
Se si desidera interrompere il procedimento di tostatura, premere il tasto Stop 9.
Il tostapane si spegne e le fette di pane vengono espulse verso l'alto.
Funzione di riscaldamento
La funzione di riscaldamento permette di riscaldare il pane senza dorarlo. Essa è
utile ad esempio per riscaldare il pane tostato che si è raff reddato. Il pane viene
riscaldato solo brevemente.
1) Impostare il regolatore di doratura 3 in posizione
.
2) Inserire il pane e premere il tasto di comando 2 verso il basso.
3) Quando il pane è nuovamente riscaldato, l'apparecchio si spegne automatica-
mente e le fette di pane vengono respinte verso l'alto.
Funzione di scongelamento
Tramite l'azionamento del tasto "Scongelamento" 8 è possibile scongelare e
tostare anche il pane congelato. Il tostapane in tal caso riscalda il pane lentamente.
1) Dopo aver impostato il grado di doratura desiderato, collocare il pane nel
vano di tostatura 7.
2) Premere il tasto di comando 2 verso il basso.
3) Azionare il tasto "Scongelamento"
8. La spia di controllo integrata si
accende.
4) Se il procedimento di scongelamento e tostatura è terminato, il tostapane
si spegne automaticamente, la spia di controllo inserita nel tasto "Sconge-
lamento"
8 si spegne e le fette di pane vengono respinte nuovamente
verso l'alto.
Riscaldamento dei panini
Non collocare mai i panini direttamente sul tostapane, bensì utilizzare sempre
l'apposito supporto 1.
1) Premere il tasto "Accessorio panini" 6
verso il basso, fi no a ottenere la
completa estrazione dell'accessorio.
2) Collocare quindi i panini sul supporto e Avviare il procedimento di tostatura.
Collocare il regolatore di doratura 3 al livello 3 (
).
AVVERTENZA
►
Collocare i panini 1 sull'accessorio panini 1 in modo tale che non cadano
attraverso di esso.
► Dopo il procedimento di tostatura i panini sono bollenti.

3) Non appena il tostapane si spegne, girare i panini per farli dorare sull'altro
lato e riaccendere il tostapane.
4) Riportare l'accessorio per panini 1 nella posizione di partenza, spingendo
nuovamente verso l'alto il tasto per l'accessorio per panini 6
.
Cassetto di raccolta delle briciole
Nel corso della tostatura, le briciole in caduta fi niscono nel cassetto di raccolta
delle briciole 5.
1) Per rimuovere le briciole, estrarre lateralmente il cassetto di raccolta delle
briciole 5.
2) Rimuovere le briciole.
3) Spingere il cassetto di raccolta delle briciole 5 nuovamente nel tostapane,
fi no all'inserimento percepibile.
Pulizia
PERICOLO DI SCOSSA ELETTRICA
►
Prima di pulire l'apparecchio, disinserire la spina dalla presa.
Non immergere mai l'apparecchio in acqua o altri liquidi! In caso
contrario, sussiste il pericolo di morte per folgorazione.
AVVISO! PERICOLO DI LESIONI!
► Fare raff reddare il tostapane prima della pulizia. Pericolo di ustioni!
ATTENZIONE - DANNI MATERIALI!
►
Non utilizzare detergenti abrasivi o corrosivi. Essi attaccano la superfi cie
dell'apparecchio.
■ Pulire l'apparecchio con un panno asciutto o con uno straccio leggermente
inumidito.
■ Svuotare regolarmente la cassetta di raccolta delle briciole 5, per evitare
incendi.
Conservazione
■ Conservare il tostapane in un luogo asciutto.
■ Pulire il tostapane come descritto al capitolo "Pulizia e manutenzione".
■ Avvolgere il cavo di rete intorno all'avvolgimento cavo 4 sul lato inferiore
del tostapane e fi ssare l'estremità del cavo con la graff etta.

rifi uti domestici.

Smaltire l'apparecchio attraverso un'azienda di smaltimento autorizzata o attraverso
l'ente di smaltimento comunale. Rispettare le prescrizioni attualmente in vigore.
In caso di dubbi mettersi in contatto con l'ente di smaltimento competente.
Garanzia e assistenza
Questo apparecchio è garantito per tre anni a partire dalla data di acquisto.
L'apparecchio è stato prodotto con cura e debitamente collaudato prima della
consegna.
Conservare lo scontrino come prova d'acquisto. Nei casi contemplati dalla
garanzia, mettersi in comunicazione telefonicamente con il centro di assistenza
più vicino. Solo in tal modo è possibile garantire una spedizione gratuita della
merce.

La garanzia copre solo i difetti del materiale o di fabbricazione, non i
danni da trasporto, ai pezzi soggetti a usura o i danni a parti fragili, come

Disposal of the packaging
The packaging protects the appliance from transport damage. The packaging
materials are selected from the point of view of their environmental friendliness
and disposal technology and are therefore recyclable.
The recirculation of packaging into the material circuit saves on raw material and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging material that is
no longer needed as per the regionally established regulations.

If possible preserve the appliance's original packaging during the warranty
period so that, in the event of a warranty claim, you can pack the appliance

► Bakery products can burn! You should therefore
NEVER locate the appliance close to or under-
neath infl ammable objects, especially not under
curtains or suspended cupboards.
► This appliance may not be used in close vicinity
to fl ammable material.
► NEVER cover the toaster when it is in use.
Tips for use
■ Avoid using slices that are too big or too thick, as these can easily become
jammed in the appliance. Should slices of bread become jammed, fi rst
disconnect the plug from the mains power socket. Release jammed slices
of bread with a blunt wooden object (e.g. a wooden spatula or spoon).
Thereby, do NOT touch the heater elements.
■ Diff erences in bread sorts, moisture content and the thickness of individual
slices infl uence the browning of the toast. Therefore the bread for toasting
should be kept in sealed packaging until required. Always initially try out
a lower level of browning.
■ Use a lower level of browning if you are toasting dry bread, as dry bread
browns faster than fresh bread.
■ Set a lower level of browning if you are toasting just one slice of bread.
■ Select a higher level of browning for dark bread than for light bread, for
example, wheat bread.
■ The numbers on the toasting dial 3 are not time indications. They serve
only as a guide for the browning.
■ To avoid an overheating of the toaster and to obtain an even browning
of bread, wait for about 15 seconds between two toasting processes.
■ You should only use the highest level on the toasting dial 3 for large slices
of dark bread. With this browning level light bread will scorch and become
inedible. In addition, it may cause the generation of smoke. If this occurs,
press the button “Stop” 9 immediately and disconnect the power cable
from the mains power socket.

Before taking into use
■ Operate the toaster without bread for 5 times at the maximum browning
level.
■ Afterwards, clean the toaster as described in the chapter “Cleaning”.
NOTICE
►
The operating slide 2 only engages when the cable is connected to a
mains power socket.
► With the fi rst usage a slight smell can arise (minimal smoke development is
also possible). This is normal and dissipates after a short time. Provide for
suffi cient ventilation. For example, open a window.
Operation
Adjusting the browning level
The desired level of browning, from “light” (1) to “dark” (6), can be adjusted
infi nitely with the toasting dial 3. The setting
is for the reheating of already
toasted bread.
NOTICE
►
Take note that, subject to the demand made on the toaster, the level of
browning can vary somewhat with an unvarying adjustment of the toasting
dial 3! The less the number of slices inserted, the higher is the browning
level. Thus, if you are not intending to toast many slices, always set the
toasting dial 3 a little lower.
Toasting
CAUTION - RISK OF FIRE!
►
When the appliance is in operation, do NOT cover the toasting slots 7.
There will be a risk of fi re! The appliance could be irreparably damaged!
1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster
slots 7.
2) Press the operating slide 2 downwards. The automatic bread centring device
centres the inserted bread in the toaster slots 7. During the toasting process
the control lamp integrated in the “Stop” button 9 glows.
3) When the desired level of browning has been reached the toaster switches
itself off automatically, the slices are ejected to the top and the control lamp
goes out.

Interrupting the toasting process
If you wish to interrupt the toasting procedure, press the button “Stop” 9.
The toaster switches itself off and the bread slices are ejected upwards.
Warming function
The warming function enables you to warm bread without browning it. As
an example, for toast that has gone cold. The bread is only briefl y warmed.
1) Place the toasting dial 3 at the setting
.
2) Insert the bread and press the operating slide 2 downwards.
3) When the bread has been reheated, the appliance switches itself off
automatically and the slices are ejected upwards.
Defrost function
By pressing the button “Defrosting” 8, also frozen bread can be thawed and
toasted. With this, the toaster slowly warms the bread.
1) After setting the desired browning level, insert the bread into the toaster
slots 7.
2) Press the operating slide 2 downwards.
3) Press the button “Defrosting”
8. The integrated control lamp glows.
4) When the defrosting and toasting process is fi nished, the toaster switches itself
off automatically, the control lamp integrated in the button “Defrosting”

goes out and the bread slices are ejected to the top.
Warming up crusty bread rolls
NEVER lay bread rolls directly onto the toaster, ALWAYS use the bread roll
holder 1.
1) Press the lever for the “bread roll holder” 6
down until it is completely
extended.
2) Place the bread-rolls onto the holder and start the toasting procedure.
Place the toasting dial 3 at the setting 3 (
).
NOTICE
►
Place the rolls onto the bread-roll holder 1 in such a manner that they
cannot fall through the holder 1.
► After toasting, the rolls will be very hot.
3) As soon as the toaster switches itself off , turn the rolls over to toast the other
side of them and then switch the toaster back on.
4) Return the bread roll holder 1 back into its starting position by sliding the
lever for the bread roll holder 6
upwards.

Crumb tray
When toasting, crumbs that fall from the bread are collected in the crumb tray 5.
1) To empty crumbs from the crumb tray 5, simply pull it out to the side.
2) Tip out the crumbs.
3) Slide the crumb tray 5 back into the toaster so that it palpably engages.
Cleaning

Disconnect the plug from the mains power socket before cleaning the
appliance.

Do not use aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These can damage
the upper surfaces of the appliance.
■ Clean the appliance housing only with a dry or lightly moistened cloth.
■ To avoid the risk of fi re, empty the crumb tray 5 at regular intervals.
Storage
■ Store the toaster at a dry location.
■ Clean the toaster as described in the section “Cleaning and Maintenance”.
■ Wrap the power cable around the cable winder 4 on the underside of the
toaster and secure the end of the cable to the bracket.

Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungs-

► Röstgut kann sich entzünden! Stellen Sie das
Gerät deshalb niemals in der Nähe oder unter
brennbaren Gegenständen ab, insbesondere
nicht unter Gardinen oder Hängeschränke.
► Das Gerät darf nicht in der Nähe von brennba-
ren Materialien verwendet werden.
► Decken Sie nie den Toaster ab, solange er in
Betrieb ist.
Tipps zum Gebrauch
■ Verwenden Sie keine zu großen oder zu dicken Scheiben, da sich diese
leicht verklemmen. Sollten sich Brotscheiben verklemmen, ziehen Sie zuerst
den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose. Lösen Sie verklemmte Brotscheiben
mit einem stumpfen Holzstab (z.B. einem Pinselstiel). Dabei die Heizdrähte
nicht berühren.
■ Unterschiede in der Brotsorte, Feuchte und Dicke der einzelnen Scheiben
beeinfl ussen die Bräunung des Toastbrotes. Daher sollte das Toastbrot mög-
lichst in einer geschlossenen Verpackung aufbewahrt werden. Probieren Sie
immer zunächst einen niedrigeren Bräunungsgrad aus.
■ Verwenden Sie eine niedrigere Bräunungsstufe, wenn Sie trockenes Brot
bräunen, da trockenes Brot schneller bräunt als frisches Brot.
■ Stellen Sie eine niedrigere Bräunungsstufe ein, wenn Sie nur eine Scheibe
Brot toasten.
■ Wählen Sie für dunkles Brot einen höheren Bräunungsgrad als für helle
Brote, beispielsweise Weißbrot.
■ Die Ziff ern des Bräunungsreglers 3 sind keine Zeitangaben. Sie dienen
lediglich als Anhaltspunkt für den Bräunungsgrad.
■ Um eine Überhitzung des Toasters zu vermeiden und eine gleichmäßige
Bräunung des Brotes zu erhalten, warten Sie zwischen zwei Toastvorgängen
ca. 15 Sekunden.
■ Die höchste Stufe am Bräunungsregler 3 sollten Sie nur für große Schei-
ben dunklen Brotes verwenden. Helles Brot wird mit dieser Bräunungsstufe
anbrennen und ungenießbar. Außerdem kann es zu Rauchentwicklung
kommen. Drücken Sie in diesem Fall sofort die Taste „Stop“ 9 und ziehen
Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.

Vor der ersten Inbetriebnahme
■ Betreiben Sie den Toaster 5 mal ohne Toast bei maximaler Bräunungsgrad-
Einstellung (6).
■ Reinigen Sie den Toaster danach wie im Kapitel „Reinigen“ beschrieben.
HINWEIS
►
Die Bedientaste 2 rastet nur bei angeschlossenem Netzkabel ein.
► Beim ersten Gebrauch kann ein leichter Geruch entstehen (auch geringe
Rauchentwicklung möglich). Dieser ist normal und verliert sich nach kurzer
Zeit. Sorgen Sie bitte für ausreichende Entlüftung. Öff nen Sie zum Beispiel
ein Fenster.
Bedienen
Bräunungsgrad einstellen
Der gewünschte Bräunungsgrad von „hell“ (1) bis „dunkel“ (6) kann mit dem
Bräunungsregler 3 stufenlos eingestellt werden. Die Einstellung
dient dem
Wiederaufwärmen von bereits gerösteten Brot.
HINWEIS
►
Beachten Sie, dass je nach Beladung des Toasters, der Bräunungsgrad bei
gleichbleibender Einstellung des Bräunungsreglers 3 variiert! Je weniger
Toastscheiben Sie einlegen, umso höher ist ihr Bräunungsgrad. Stellen Sie
daher den Bräunungsregler 3 bei wenig Beladung immer etwas herunter.
Toasten
ACHTUNG - BRANDGEFAHR!
►
Bei Betrieb des Toasters die Röstschächte 7 nicht abdecken. Es besteht die
Gefahr eines Brandes! Das Gerät kann irreparabel beschädigt werden!
1) Nach dem Einstellen des gewünschten Bräunungsgrades legen Sie das Brot
in den Röstschacht 7 ein.
2) Drücken Sie die Bedientaste 2 nach unten. Die automatische Brotzentrie-
rung zentriert das eingelegte Brot im Röstschacht 7. Während des Röstvor-
ganges leuchtet die in der Taste „Stop“ 9 integrierte Kontrollleuchte.
3) Ist der gewünschte Bräunungsgrad erreicht, schaltet sich der Toaster automa-
tisch ab und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben, die Kontrollleuch-
te erlischt.

Toastvorgang unterbrechen
Wenn Sie den Toastvorgang unterbrechen wollen, drücken Sie die Taste „Stop“
9. Der Toaster schaltet sich aus und die Brotscheiben kommen nach oben.
Aufwärm-Funktion
Die Aufwärm-Funktion ermöglicht Ihnen, das Brot zu erwärmen ohne es zu
bräunen. Zum Beispiel, wenn geröstetes Brot wieder erkaltet ist. Das Brot wird nur
kurz erwärmt.
1) Stellen Sie den Bräunungsregler 3 auf die Position
.
2) Legen Sie das Brot ein und drücken die Bedientaste 2 nach unten.
3) Wenn das Brot wieder aufgewärmt ist, schaltet sich das Gerät automatisch
ab und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben.
Auftau-Funktion
Durch Betätigung der Taste „Auftauen“ 8 kann auch eingefrorenes Toastbrot
aufgetaut und getoastet werden. Der Toaster erwärmt das Brot hierbei lang-
sam. Durch das Aktivieren der Auftaufunktion wird hierbei beim tiefgefrorenen
Toast die gleiche Bräunung erreicht, wie beim normalen Toasten eines frischen
Toastbrotes.
1) Nach dem Einstellen des gewünschten Bräunungsgrades legen Sie das Brot
in den Röstschacht 7 ein.
2) Drücken die Bedientaste 2 nach unten.
3) Betätigen Sie die Taste „Auftauen“
8. Die integrierte Kontrollleuchte
leuchtet.
4) Wenn der Auftau- und Röstvorgang beendet ist, schaltet sich der Toaster
automatisch ab, die in der Taste „Auftauen“

te erlischt und die Brotscheiben kommen wieder nach oben.

Brötchen knusprig aufwärmen
Legen Sie Brötchen niemals direkt auf den Toaster, sondern verwenden Sie immer
den Brötchenaufsatz 1.
1) Drücken Sie die Taste „Brötchenaufsatz“ 6
nach unten, bis dieser voll-
ständig ausgefahren ist.
2) Legen Sie die Brötchen darauf und starten Sie den Toastvorgang. Stellen
Sie den Bräunungsregler 3 auf Stufe 3 (
). Die Bräunung kann jedoch, je
nach Beschaff enheit und Art des Brötchens, unterschiedlich ausfallen.
HINWEIS
►
Legen Sie die Brötchen so auf den Brötchenaufsatz 1, dass sie nicht
durch den Brötchenaufsatz 1 hindurchfallen können.
► Die Brötchen sind nach dem Röstvorgang sehr heiß.
3) Sobald sich der Toaster ausschaltet, das Brötchen zur Bräunung der anderen
Seite umdrehen und Toaster wieder einschalten.
4) Bringen Sie den Brötchenaufsatz 1 wieder in seine Ausgangsposition,
indem Sie die Taste „Brötchenaufsatz“ 6
wieder nach oben schieben.
Krümelschublade
Beim Toasten sammeln sich die abfallenden Krümel in der Krümelschublade 5.
1) Zum Entfernen der Krümel ziehen Sie die Krümelschublade 5 zur Seite
heraus.
2) Entfernen Sie die Krümel.
3) Schieben Sie die Krümelschublade 5 wieder in den Toaster, so dass sie
fühlbar einrastet.
Reinigen
