The operating instructions are part of this product.
They contain important information on safety, usage
and disposal. Before using the product, familiarise
yourself with all handling and safety guidelines.
Use the product only as described and for the range

operating instructions on to any future owner(s).

INFORMATION ON USING BATTERIES
This appliance uses a battery. When handling batteries, please ob-
serve the following:
Do not throw batteries into a fire. Do not recharge batteries.
Risk of explosion!
Never open batteries and never solder or weld batteries. Risk of
explosions and injuries!
Check the condition of the battery regularly. Leaking batteries can
cause damage to the appliance.
Remove the battery if you do not intend to use the appliance for
an extended period of time.
If the batteries have leaked, use protective gloves. Clean the bat-
tery compartment and the battery contacts with a dry cloth.
In the event of skin contact with spilled battery acid, immediately
wash the affected area with plenty of water.
Keep batteries out of the reach of children. Children can put bat-
teries into their mouth and swallow them. If a battery is swallowed,
medical assistance must be sought immediately.

Initial operation
1) Open the battery compartment .
2) Insert the batteries into the battery compartment
in accordance with the correct polarity.
3) Close the battery compartment cover so that it
clicks into place.
4) Place the scale on a flat, stable surface and
tap the centre of the scale with your foot to
switch it on.
5) Pick up the scales and set the desired unit of
measurement (kg, lb or st) by pressing the
UNIT button on the rear of the scales
NOTE
The unit of measurement must only be set on
first use.
6) Place the scales on a flat and stable surface.
Ensure that neither the floor at the location of
the scales nor the upper surface of the scales
are wet, otherwise there is a risk of slipping!
NOTE
These scales contain sensitive electronic
components and should therefore NOT be
located:
close to sources of heat
in environments with extreme air humidity.
The scales are now ready for use.
Using the scales
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
Never use the scales if they are wet
or moist. Never step onto the scales
with wet or moist feet. There would
be a serious risk of slipping and
personal injury!
Never put weight onto only one
side of the scales. Always step onto
the scales in the middle and with
both feet. Otherwise, the scales
could tip and become irreparably
damaged. There is also a risk of
falling over!
ATTENTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
Never jump onto glass scales! This could
irreparably damage them.
1) Stand with both feet on the scale. The scale
switches on. Stand as still as possible and without
displacing your weight.
2) During the weighing process, the indicated
weight increases until your weight is shown.
3) Once your weight has been determined, the
result blinks three times on the display .
NOTE
If the display switches off during weighing,
the scales cannot measure the weight correctly.
In this case, step down from the scales, wait
a few seconds and then try again. Make sure
you stand still and do not interrupt the weighing
procedure.

Inbetriebnahme
1) Öffnen Sie das Batteriefach .
2) Legen Sie die Batterien entsprechend ihrer
Polarität in das Batteriefach ein.
3) Schließen Sie den Batteriefachdeckel, so dass
dieser einrastet.
4) Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen flachen, festen
Untergrund und stellen Sie sich kurz auf die
Waage, so dass diese sich einschaltet.
5) Nehmen Sie die Waage wieder hoch und
stellen Sie die gewünschte Maßeinheit (kg, lb
oder st) durch Drücken der Taste UNIT auf
der Rückseite der Waage ein.
HINWEIS
Die Maßeinheit muss nur bei der ersten
Benutzung eingestellt werden.
6) Stellen Sie die Waage auf einen flachen,
festen Untergrund. Achten Sie darauf, dass so-
wohl der Boden am Aufstellort der Waage als
auch die Oberfläche der Waage nicht feucht
sind, es besteht sonst Rutschgefahr!
HINWEIS
Die Waage enthält empfindliche elektroni-
sche Bauteile und darf daher nicht aufgestellt
werden:
in der Nähe von Wärmequellen
in Umgebungen mit extremer Luftfeuch-
tigkeit.
Die Waage ist nun betriebsbereit.
Waage benutzen
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
Benutzen Sie die Waage niemals,
wenn diese nass oder feucht ist.
Betreten Sie die Waage niemals
mit nassen oder feuchten Füßen.
Es besteht Rutschgefahr und die
Gefahr eines Sturzes!
Belasten Sie die Waage niemals
einseitig. Betreten Sie die Waage
stets mittig mit beiden Füßen. An-
derenfalls kann die Waage zur Seite
kippen und irreparabel beschädigt
werden. Außerdem besteht Sturz-
gefahr!
ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
Springen Sie niemals auf die Waage, diese
könnte sonst beschädigt werden.
1) Stellen Sie sich mit beiden Füßen auf die Waage.
Die Waage schaltet sich ein. Stehen Sie mög-
lichst ruhig und ohne Ihr Gewicht zu verlagern.
2) Während des Wiegevorgangs steigt der ange-
zeigte Wert bis Ihr Gewicht ermittelt ist.
3) Wenn das Gewicht ermittelt ist, blinkt das
Ergebnis dreimal im Display .
HINWEIS
Sollte das Display während des Wiegevor-
ganges erlöschen, kann die Waage Ihr Gewicht
nicht korrekt messen. In diesem Falle gehen Sie
von der Waage herunter, warten Sie einige
Sekunden und versuchen Sie es noch einmal.
Achten Sie darauf, ruhig zu stehen und den
Wiegevorgang nicht zu unterbrechen.
