♦ Öl zum Frittieren
1) Schälen Sie die Kartoffeln.
2) Schneiden Sie die Kartoffeln in schmale Stäb-
chen (Pommes Frites).
3) Geben Sie zum frittieren geeignetes Öl in die
Innenschale und stellen Sie den Temperatur-
regler auf die Stufe

. Warten Sie, bis das
Gerät aufgeheizt hat.
4) Geben Sie die Pommes Frites in den Frittier-
korb .
5) Senken Sie den Frittierkorb vorsichtig in das
heiße Öl und frittieren Sie die Pommes Frites
ca. 25 - 30 Minuten.
6) Heben Sie dann den Frittierkorb vorsichtig
aus dem heißen Öl und hängen Sie diesen
am Rand ein, so dass überschüssiges Fett
abtropfen kann.

    I bought this item today and tried to turn it on this evening and whenever I turn it on it makes a sort of 'clicking' sound and then smoke appears from which I can only describe the smell of burned electronics(?)

    I assume at this point that I've bought a dis-functional unit although I would like to hear your thoughts on this.
