Congratulations on your new product.
You have selected a high quality prod-
uct. Please familiarise yourself with the
kitchen scales before preparing it for use and using
it for the first time. To do so, please carefully read
the following operating instructions and the impor-
tant safety information. Only use the kitchen scales
as described and for the applications indicated.
Keep these instructions in a safe place. Be sure to
also include all documentation when passing the
kitchen scales on to others.
Intended use
This product is suitable for weighing and tare weigh-
ing of typical domestic quantities of foodstuffs. The
kitchen scales are used to determine the weight
and/or volume of non-aggressive, non-corrosive
and non-abrasive liquids or solids. The kitchen
scales are only intended for personal use, not for
commercial purposes. Any other form of use or any
modifications to the kitchen scales is not permitted
and may result in injury and/or damage to the
kitchen scales. The manufacturer accepts no liability
for any damage caused by improper use. The kitchen
scales is not intended for commercial purposes.

could hinder the internal data
exchange, which can cause er-
rors in the LC display readout.
Check the product for damage
before use. Never use a dam-
aged product.
Never open
the housing of the product. This
can result in injury and damage
to the product. Repairs must only
be carried out by a qualified
electrician.
Do not allow anyone inexperi-
enced to use the product. Make
sure that anyone intending to
use the product has read the op-
erating manual and is capable
of operating the product safely.
Place the product on a solid,
horizontal and flat surface.
Magnetic fields may cause the
product to function incorrectly. If
this happens, briefly remove the
battery from the product and re-
insert it. Do this as described in the
section “Changing the battery“.

ies. The battery may overheat,
ignite or explode. Never throw
batteries into fire or water. The
batteries may explode.
Avoid extreme environmental
conditions and temperatures, e.g.
above radiators as they may af-
fect batteries. Otherwise there is
an increased risk of leaking.
Promptly remove drained battery
from the product. Otherwise there
is an increased risk of leaking.
Check the battery regularly for
leaks.
Leaking or damaged
batteries may result in
burns upon contact with the skin;
always wear suitable safety
gloves!
If fluid is leaking from the bat-
tery, avoid contact with the skin,
eyes and mucous membranes. In
the event of contact with battery
acid, thoroughly flush the affected
area with clean water and seek
immediate medical attention.
Remove light dirt from the battery
and product contacts with a dry,
lint-free cloth before inserting the
batteries.
Remove the battery if the product
is not going to be used for an
extended period.
When inserting the battery ensure
that it is inserted the right way
round! This is shown in the bat-
tery compartment. Otherwise the
battery can explode.
Insert the battery with care. Oth-
erwise the product can be dam-
aged.
Please do not dispose of used
batteries in your household waste,
but take them to a designated
collection depot for special waste.
Start-up (Fig. A)
Pull the insulating strip out of the battery com-
partment in the direction of the arrow.
Or:
Open the battery compartment at the back of
the product by pressing the tab of the battery
cover toward the battery compartment and
lifting it upward.
Remove the insulating strip. It is located between
the battery

and the battery compartment.

Replace the battery cover. Be sure the two
extensions on the battery cover engage in the
opening for the battery cover. Press the battery
cover onto the battery compartment until you
hear and feel it lock into place.
Changing the battery
Open the battery compartment at the back of
the kitchen scales

as described above.
Remove the drained battery.
Insert the new battery (1 x CR2032). Check the
polarity of the battery during insertion. The „+“
sign must point upward and the battery remain
inside the battery compartment.
Close the battery compartment as described
above.

Cleaning and Care
Do not use chemicals, abrasives or sharp
objects for cleaning. The kitchen scales may
otherwise be damaged.
Never immerse the kitchen scales in water or
other liquids. The kitchen scales may otherwise
be damaged.
Clean the kitchen scales using a slightly damp-
ened, lint-free cloth. For more stubborn dirt you
can also apply a weak soap solution to the cloth.
Disposal
The packaging is made of environmen-
tally friendly materials, which may be
disposed of through your local recycling
facilities.
Contact your local refuse disposal authority for
more details of how to dispose of your worn-out
product.
Please dispose of the product according
to the EC Waste Electrical and Elec-
tronic Equipment Directive - WEEE.
Please contact your assigned municipal authority
with any questions.

Improper disposal of batteries
can harm the environment!
Never dispose of batteries in your household
waste. They may contain toxic heavy metals and
are subject to hazardous waste regulations. The
chemical symbols of the heavy metals are:
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercury, Pb = lead. Therefore
dispose of used batteries through your municipal
collection site.
Warranty / Service centre
We provide a 3-year warranty from the date of
purchase covering faults in materials or manufacture
of the kitchen scales.
The warranty does not cover:
· Damage resulting from improper use.

service et la première utilisation, veuillez vous fami-
liariser avec la balance de cuisine. À cet effet, lisez
attentivement le mode d’emploi ci-dessous et les
consignes de sécurité. N‘utilisez la balance de cui-
sine que comme il l‘est décrit et pour les domaines
d‘utilisation mentionnés. Veuillez conserver soi-
gneusement ces instructions. Si vous donnez la
balance de cuisine à des tiers, remettez-leur
également la totalité des documents.
Utilisation conforme
Cet appareil est conçu pour la pesée et la pesée
avec ajout de quantités d’aliments habituelles dans
les ménages. La balance de cuisine sert à détermi-
ner le poids de liquides ou de produits solides non
agressifs, non caustiques et non abrasifs. La balance
de cuisine est uniquement destinée à l’usage do-
mestique, et non pour un usage commercial. Toute
utilisation différant de l‘utilisation décrite ci-dessus
ou une modification de la balance de cuisine est
interdite et peut causer des blessures et/ou endom-
mager la balance de cuisine. Le fabricant décline
toute responsabilité en cas de dégâts causés par

charger, ni court-circuiter, ni ou-
vrir les piles. Une surchauffe, un
risque d‘incendie ou un éclate-
ment pourraient en résulter. Ne
jetez jamais des piles au feu ou
dans l’eau. Les piles risquent
d’exploser.
Évitez d’exposer les piles à des
conditions et températures ex-
trêmes susceptibles de les endom-
mager, par ex. des radiateurs.
Sinon, il existe un risque élevé
d‘écoulement.
Retirez des piles usagées immé-
diatement du produit. Sinon, il
existe un risque élevé d‘écoule-
ment.
Contrôlez régulièrement l’étan-
chéité de la pile.
Le liquide s‘écoulant de
piles ou les piles endom-
magées peuvent entraîner des
brûlures graves de la peau par
l’acide. Il faut donc absolument
porter des gants de protection
adaptés !
Si du liquide s’écoule d’une pile,
il faut éviter tout contact avec la
peau, les yeux et les muqueuses.
Si vous entrez en contact avec
l‘acide des piles, rincez immé-
diatement et abondamment à
l‘eau claire les parties touchées

et consultez un médecin le plus
rapidement possible.
Veuillez nettoyer les contacts du
produit et des piles avant l‘intro-
duction des piles avec un chiffon
sec.
En cas de nonutilisation prolon-
gée, retirez la pile du produit.
Lors de la mise en place des
piles, veillez à respecter la pola-
rité ! Celle-ci est indiquée dans le
compartiment à piles. Autrement,
la pile peut exploser.
Mettez la pile en place avec
précaution. Dans le cas contraire,
le produit pourrait être endom-
magé.
Ne jetez pas les piles usagées
dans les ordures ménagères, mais
recyclez-les aux points de col-
lecte correspondants.
Mise en service (ill. A)
Retirez les bandes isolantes du compartiment à
pile en suivant le sens de la flèche.
Ou :
Ouvrez le compartiment à pile situé au dos de
la poignée en pressant la languette du
couvercle du compartiment à pile vers le com-
partiment à pile et en le soulevant vers le haut.
Retirez la bande isolante. Elle se trouve entre
la pile

et le compartiment à pile.
Replacez le couvercle du compartiment à pi le-
sur le compartiment à pile. Veillez à ce que les
deux élargissements du couvercle du comparti-
ment à pile prennent dans les deux orifices du
compartiment à pile. Pressez le couvercle du
compartiment à pile sur le compartiment à pile
de telle sorte que vous le sentiez et l’entendiez
s’encliqueter.
Remplacement de la pile
Ouvrez le boîtier à piles situé sur la face ar-
rière de la balance de cuisine

, comme
décrit ci-dessus.
Retirez la pile usée.
Insérez la nouvelle pile (1 x CR2032) . Respec-
tez la polarité. Le „+“ doit montrer vers le haut
et la pile doit être tenue dans le compartiment.
Refermez le compartiment à piles, comme
décrit ci-dessus.

Nettoyage et entretien
N‘utilisez pas de détergents chimiques, de
produits abrasifs ou d‘objets tranchants pour le
nettoyage. Autrement, la balance de cuisine
peut s‘endommager.
N‘immergez jamais la balance de cuisine dans
de l’eau ou d’autres liquides. Autrement, la
balance de cuisine peut s‘endommager.
Nettoyez la balance de cuisine avec un chiffon
non pelucheux légèrement humide. Si la ba-
lance est très sale, vous pouvez aussi imbiber
le chiffon d’eau savonneuse.
Mise au rebut
L’emballage se compose exclusivement
de matières recyclables, qui peuvent
être mises au rebut dans les déchetteries
locales.
Les possibilités de recyclage des produits usés sont
à demander auprès de votre municipalité.
Éliminez le produit conformément à la
dernière directive relative aux déchets

Pollution de l’environnement
par mise au rebut incorrecte
des piles !
Les piles ne doivent pas être mises au rebut dans
les ordures ménagères. Elles peuvent contenir des
métaux lourds toxiques et doivent être considérées
comme des déchets spéciaux. Les symboles
chimiques des métaux lourds sont les suivants :
Cd = cadmium, Hg = mercure, Pb = plomb. Pour
cette raison, veuillez toujours déposer les piles
usagées dans les conteneurs de recyclage de la
commune.
Garantie / Service
Indépendamment de la garantie commerciale
souscrite, le vendeur reste tenu des défauts de
conformité du bien et des vices rédhibitoires dans
les conditions prévues aux articles L211-4 et sui-
vants du Code de la consommation et aux articles
1641 et suivants du Code Civil.
Cette balance de cuisine dispose d’une garantie
de 3ans à partir de la date d’achat pour vice
matériel et de fabrication.
La garantie ne s’applique pas :
