6.2 Preparation

NOTE: we recommend preparing a maxi-

mum of 2 hamburgers/sandwiches at the

same time.

The preparation table on the lid of the de-

vice informs you about the settings for the

thermostat controls and approximate prepa-

ration times. The guideline values relate to

quantities of 100 g in each case. The prepa-

ration time depends, however, on the type of

meat, the thickness of the pieces of meat,

and how cooked you want them.

6.3 Grill plate setting

Depending on what you wish to prepare,

there are 3 different ways to set up the grill

plates.

Contact grill (Figure A)

NOTE: please note that opening the lid|4

may cause any oil or fat present to drip from

the lid onto the work surface.

This contact setting of the grill plate allows

double-sided, rapid grilling of pieces of

meat, e.g. filet steak, rump steak, cutlets, sau-

sages, or of vegetables.

1. Preheat the grill plates|13.

2. Open the lid|4 of the contact grill up-

wards.

3. Place the food to be grilled on the lower

grill plate|13.

4. Close the lid|4 and press it down gently

onto the food to be grilled, so that both

grill plates|13 are in contact with the

food.

Barbecue (Figure B)

The open position of the grill plates is suita-

ble ...

… for slow grilling of comparatively

thick food,

… for preparing food with different tem-

perature settings simultaneously, and

… for preparing comparatively large

quantities of food.

1. Preheat the grill plates|13.

2. Fold out the base|3.

3. Open the lid|4 upwards, lift it up, and

open it further until it is horizontal.

4. Place the other grease drip tray|16 un-

der the oil/fat runoff|14 of the grill

plate|13 in the lid.

5. Place the food to be grilled on both grill

plates|13.
