Using the tongs

Always use oven gloves when you remove food or accessories such as the

inner bowl 0, the basket q or the grill rack r from the hot appliance.

► Wear oven gloves even when using the tongs t to remove items.

1) You will need to assemble the tongs before ﬁ rst use.

Push the ends of the open side of one of the metal brackets into the small

holes of the white plastic connector which is already attached to the other

bracket.

2) Use the tongs t to insert and remove food, as well as to handle the

basket q and the grill rack r – especially if these are hot:

If you are preparing food on the grill rack r, remove the cooked

food ﬁ rst with a fork or similar. Then you can remove the grill rack r

with the tongs t.
