Het apparaat heeft een ontkalkingsherinnering: na ca. 500 brouwprocessen
knipperen de drie indicatielampjes 5 t z 5 keer snel tegelijkertijd om u eraan
te herinneren dat het apparaat moet worden ontkalkt. Als u het apparaat niet
onmiddellijk ontkalkt, knipperen de indicatielampjes 5 t z opnieuw als u het
apparaat opnieuw inschakelt. Als u het apparaat na de derde keer inschakelen
nog steeds niet hebt ontkalkt, wordt de herinneringsfunctie inactief.
Ga als volgt te werk om de meegeleverde ontkalker s te gebruiken:
1) Doe de ontkalker s (125 ml) in het waterreservoir 9.
2) Vul het waterreservoir 9 tot aan de Max-markering met water en plaats het
in het apparaat.
3) Schakel het apparaat in met de aan-/uitknop 1. De stoomregelaar 7
is dichtgedraaid.
4) Plaats de zeefhouder i zonder espressozeef o p in het apparaat.
5) Plaats 2 kopjes of een bakje met een inhoud van minstens 250 ml onder de
openingen van de zeefhouder.
6) Zodra het indicatielampje “Espresso” t continu brandt, drukt u op de toets
“Espresso” 3.
Laat ca. 250 ml (ca. 2 kopjes) ontkalkingsmiddel doorlopen en stop de
procedure dan door opnieuw op de toets “Espresso” 3 te drukken.
Gooi het gebruikte ontkalkingsmiddel eventueel voorzichtig weg.
7) Laat de ontkalker s ca. 1 minuut inwerken.
8) Herhaal stap 6 en 7 nog driemaal. Maak het waterreservoir 9 na de
laatste keer volledig leeg.
9) Plaats een voldoende grote opvangbak (min. 1 liter) onder de openingen
van de zeefhouder.
10) Spoel het waterreservoir 9 uit met schoon water en vul het tot aan de Max-
markering met schoon water.
11) Zodra het indicatielampje “Espresso” t continu brandt, drukt u op de toets
“Espresso” 3.
Laat het water volledig doorlopen. Gooi dit water voorzichtig weg.
12) Herhaal stap 10 en 11 eenmaal en zet het apparaat daarna uit.
13) Reinig het apparaat na de ontkalking met een vochtige doek om mogelijke
spatten van het ontkalkingsmiddel te verwijderen. Vergewis u ervan dat het
apparaat volledig is opgedroogd voordat u het opnieuw gebruikt.
Nieuwe ontkalker s kunt u bestellen via onze service (zie het hoofdstuk
“Vervangingsonderdelen bestellen”).
Het verdient aanbeveling de meegeleverde ontkalker s te gebruiken.
U kunt ook andere in de handel verkrijgbare ontkalkers voor espressoapparaten
gebruiken voor het ontkalken. Ga te werk zoals beschreven in de gebruiksaan-
wijzing van de betreffende ontkalker.
