Filling the water tank

1) Hold the iron in your hand at an angle.

2) Open the cover of the ﬁller opening for the water tank 2.

3) Using the measuring beaker e, ﬁll the water tank with water to the “MAX”

marking, but no further.

4) Close the cover of the ﬁller opening for the water tank 2.

Plugging in and ironing

Dry ironing without steam is possible at all temperatures, steam ironing is only

possible from the setting range on the temperature regulator 8.

1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

2) Check the care instructions on the labels in garments to see if they are suitable

for being ironed, and at which temperature setting.

3) Select the appropriate temperature setting with the temperature regulator 8.

NOTE

► Always place the iron on the base 0 while it heats up. If you place the

iron on the sole of the iron q and do not move it, the automatic switch-oﬀ

will be activated after 30 seconds and the appliance stops heating up.

■ The temperature control lamp 7 lights up. When the set temperature has

been reached, the temperature control lamp 7 goes out.

4) Wait until the temperature control lamp 7 goes out.

■ To moisten the laundry, press the spray button 5.

■ This function is suitable for very dry and very crumpled garments.
