appliance.

You have selected a high-quality product.

The operating instructions are a constituent of this

product. They contain important information about

safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,

familiarise yourself with all operating and safety

instructions. Use this product only as described and

only for the speciﬁed areas of application. Please

also pass these operating instructions on to any

future owner(s).

Proper use

This steam iron is intended exclusively for the ironing

of textiles. The iron may only be used indoors and

in domestic households. All other use is deemed to

be improper use. Not for commercial use!

Safety instructions

DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!

► The rating of the local power supply must correspond with the details given

on the rating plate of the appliance.

► To avoid potential risks, arrange for a defective appliance to be checked

and possibly repaired by qualiﬁed technicians, or contact our Customer

Service Department.

► To avoid risks, have defective plugs and/or power cables replaced immedi-

ately by qualiﬁed technicians or our Customer Service Department.

► Always disconnect from the mains power socket by pulling only on the plug

itself, never on the mains cable.

► Never bend (kink) or crush the power cable, always route it in such a way

that it cannot come into contact with hot surfaces and such that no-one can

step on or trip over it.

► After every use, before cleaning and when reﬁlling with tap water, always

remove the plug from the mains power socket.

► Always unroll the power cable fully before switching on and do not use an

extension cable.

► Never touch the power cable or the plug with wet hands.

► Never use the steam iron adjacent to water contained in a bath, shower,

wash basin or other vessels. The proximity of water is hazardous, even if

the appliance is switched oﬀ.

► Under no circumstances should you submerge the steam iron in any liquid

or permit liquids to penetrate into the housing of the steam iron. Do not

expose the appliance to moisture and do not use it outdoors. If liquid gets

into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket

immediately and have it repaired by a qualiﬁed technician.

► You may not open the steam iron appliance housing. Have a defective

appliance repaired only by an authorised technician.

► Under NO circumstance should you use the appliance if it shows visible

signs of damage, has fallen or leaks water. Arrange for it to be repaired by

qualiﬁed specialists.

► Discontinue use of the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the power

cable is damaged!

► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or more and by persons

with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience

and/or knowledge if they are supervised, or have been instructed in the

safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks. Children

must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not

be carried out by children unless they are supervised.

WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!

► When the steam iron is hot, hold it only by the handle.

► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the

appliance.

► Never place your hands in the steam spray or on hot metal parts.

► You may not open the ﬁller opening of the water reservoir while the iron

is in use. Allow the steam iron to cool down ﬁrst and remove the plug from

the power socket.

► When it is switched on or cooling down, the steam iron and its connecting

cable must be kept out of the reach of children who are younger than

8 years old.

► The steam iron may never be left unattended while it is connected to the

mains power supply.

CAUTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!

► Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is switched on or connected

to the mains power supply.

► Put the steam iron into storage only when it has cooled down completely.

► This steam iron should only be used and set down on stable surfaces.

► Use only the ironing temperatures stated in the care instructions for the

material, or those suitable for it. Otherwise, you could damage the textiles.

Should care instructions not be given or known, start with the lowest tem-

perature setting.

► Place the steam iron only on level and heat-resistant surfaces. The steam

iron must be stable.

► When you want to put the steam iron down, place it only on its base.

► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing, (

symbol), the clothing item

may not be ironed. Ignoring this warning could lead to permanent damage

to the clothing item.

► The water tank should be ﬁlled only with mains or distilled water. Otherwise

you will damage the steam iron.

► Do not clean the steam iron with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning

agents. These could damage it.

Before ﬁrst use

1) Remove the steam iron from the packaging.

2) Remove all stickers and protective foils from

the steam iron and from sole of the iron.

WARNING –

RISK OF SUFFOCATION!

Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid the

risks of asphyxiation, keep plastic bags out of

the reach of babies and toddlers.

3) Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter

“Filling the water tank”).

4) Insert the plug into a mains power socket

supplying an electrical current as detailed

on the rating plate.

5) Switch on the iron and set it to temperature

level 9/MAX (see chapter “Operation“).

6) Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at

this highest setting.

7) Activate the steam blast button  a couple of

times so that steam comes out of the sole of

the iron.

8) Then iron over a piece of unwanted material

to remove any residues possibly remaining on

the sole of the iron.

9) Press the

TEMP button repeatedly until

you hear a signal, the display  lights up red

and indicates OFF.

10) Pull the power plug out of the socket.

Filling the water tank

1) Place the steam iron on the base .

2) Open the cover of the ﬁller opening for the

water tank .

3) Using the measuring beaker 3, ﬁll the water

tank with water to the “MAX” marking, but no

further.

4) Close the cover of the ﬁller opening for the

water tank .

NOTE

If the mains water in your area is rated as hard,

it is recommended that you mix the mains water

with some distilled water. Otherwise, the jets for

the steam blast function could calcify (become

blocked) prematurely.

To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix

mains water with distilled water according to the

table.

Operation

Plugging in and ironing

NOTE

You can dry iron without steam at all temperatures.

Steam ironing is only possible from temperature

level 6 and upward (

also appears in the

display ).

1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.

There will be a beep and the display  lights

up red. After several symbols have ﬂashed on

the display , OFF appears.

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing

(

), the garment may not be ironed.

Ignoring this warning could lead to permanent

damage to the clothing item.

2) Check the care instructions on the labels in

garments to see if they are suitable for being

ironed, and at which temperature setting.

3) To switch on the iron, press the TEMP

button - repeatedly until the required tem-

perature level appears on the display  (see

chapter “Meaning of the display indicators”).

Use the

TEMP  button to change to a

higher or lower temperature level.

As soon as the indicator for the material type stops

ﬂashing on the display  and a beep is heard, the

set temperature has been reached and you can

begin ironing.

NOTE

If you are ironing very dry and creased fabrics,

you can dampen the material using the spray

function. To dampen the material, press the

button for the spray function .

Steam ironing

NOTE

The temperature level must be set to at least level

6. Otherwise no steam can be produced.

■ Set the steam regulator  to the desired steam

setting. As soon as you hold the steam iron

horizontally, steam will discharge from the sole

of the iron.

■ If you set the steam regulator  to

or hold

the steam iron vertically no steam will come out

of the sole of the iron.

Ironing with steam blast

The steam blast function is especially suitable for

smoothing diﬃcult-to-reach parts of a garment.

1) Slightly raise the steam iron.

2) Press the steam blast button  for a blast of

steam.

You can also use the steam blast function to smooth

hanging textiles.

Hold the iron vertically and press the

steam blast button .

CAUTION – RISK OF FIRE!

Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is

switched on or connected to the mains power

supply.

1) To switch oﬀ the steam iron, press and hold the

TEMP

button - or the TEMP button

until you hear a beep and the display  lights

up red and indicates OFF.

Or:

2) Press the

TEMP  button repeatedly until

you hear a beep and display  lights up red

and indicates OFF.

Taking the steam iron out of service

1) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.

2) Empty the water tank and clean the sole of

the iron.

3) Place the cooled-down steam iron on the

base .

Anti-drip system

With conventional steam irons it can happen that

water drips from the iron sole at low temperatures.

This steam iron, however, is equipped with a special

anti-drip system. At low temperatures the steam iron

automatically switches oﬀ the steam blast function.

When this happens, a “click” can be be heard.

Set a suitable temperature level. As soon as this is

reached, steam production is resumed.

Automatic switch-oﬀ

This steam iron is ﬁtted with an automatic switch-oﬀ

system. This stops the steam iron from heating up.

When the steam iron is resting on its sole and is not

moved for approx. 30 seconds, 6 warning beeps

will sound, “PAUSE” appears and the display 

lights up red. After a few seconds, the display illumi-

nation  switches oﬀ. The steam iron will stop

heating up.

To deactivate the automatic switch-oﬀ, lift up the

steam iron and move it gently from side to side.

The display  lights up blue, the previously set

temperature level is shown and the steam iron

heats up again.

When the steam iron is resting on its base  and is

not moved for approx. 8 minutes, 6 warning beeps

will sound, “PAUSE” appears and the display 

lights up red. After a few seconds, the illumination of

the display  switches oﬀ. The steam iron will stop

heating up.

To deactivate the automatic switch-oﬀ, lift up the

steam iron and move it gently from side to side.

The display  lights up blue, the previously set

temperature level is shown and the steam iron

heats up again.

NOTE

The automatic switch-oﬀ is not intended as a

substitute for removing the plug from the mains

power!

It is merely designed to prevent the appliance

from overheating and helps to avoid unneces-

sary power consumption.

It does not, however, in itself provide ﬁre protec-

tion, for instance, if you place and leave the hot

steam iron on ﬂammable material.

Cleaning

Self-cleaning function

1) Fill the water tank to the marking MAX.

2) Insert the plug into the mains power socket.

3) To switch on the iron and set the temperature,

press the

TEMP button - repeatedly until

9/MAX appears on the display .

4) Set the steam regulator  to maximum steam

power.

5) Allow the steam iron to heat up to the set

temperature.

6) Hold the steam iron horizontally over a catch-

ment receptacle.

7) Press and hold down the self-clean button .

Steam and boiling water ﬂows from the steam exit

holes in the sole of the iron. Impurities that may be

present are washed out.

8) Release the self-clean button  as soon as all

of the water has run out.

9) Iron over a towel or old piece of material a few

times to dry the sole of the iron thoroughly.

10) Press the

TEMP button  repeatedly until

you hear a signal, the display lights up red

and indicates OFF.

11) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.

12) Allow the steam iron to cool down before

placing it in storage.

WARNING –

► Always remove the plug from the mains power

socket before cleaning the appliance.

► Never open the appliance housing! Otherwise

there is a risk of a fatal electric shock.

WARNING – RISK OF INJURY!

► Allow the appliance to cool down before

cleaning it! Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!

CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!

► Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.

These will damage the surface of the appliance!

► Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical

cleaning agents! They could irreparably

damage the surface!

■ Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth only.

Storage

■ Empty any remaining water from the water tank.

■ Store the cooled-down appliance in a clean,

dust-free and dry location.

Disposal

Under no circumstances

should you dispose of the ap-

pliance in the normal domestic

waste. This product is subject

to the provisions of European

Directive 2012/19/EU.

Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal

company or your municipal waste facility. Please

observe the currently applicable regulations.

Please contact your waste disposal centre if you

are in any doubt.

The packaging is made from environ-

mentally friendly material and can be

disposed of at your local recycling plant.

Troubleshooting

Warranty and Service

The warranty provided for this appliance is

3 years from the date of purchase. This appliance

has been manufactured with care and inspected

meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your

receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a

warranty claim, please contact your Customer

Service by telephone. This is the only way to

guarantee free return of your goods.

The warranty only covers claims for material and

manufacturing defects, not for transport damage,

wearing parts or for damage to fragile components

such as switches or batteries. This appliance is

intended solely for private use and not for com-

mercial purposes.

The warranty is deemed void if this product has been

subjected to improper or inappropriate handling,

abuse or modiﬁcations which were not carried out

by one of our authorised service centres.

Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way

by this warranty.

The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs

made under the warranty. This also applies to

replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects

present at the time of purchase must be reported

immediately after unpacking, or no later than two

days after the date of purchase. Repairs made

after expiry of the warranty period are chargeable.

Ainsi, vous venez d’opter pour un produit de grande

qualité. Le mode d’emploi fait partie de ce produit.

Il contient des remarques importantes concernant

la sécurité, l’usage et la mise au rebut. Avant

l’usage du produit, veuillez vous familiariser avec

toutes les consignes d’utilisation et de sécurité.

N’utilisez le produit que conformément aux

consignes et pour les domaines d’utilisation prévus.

Usage conforme

Le fer à repasser à vapeur est exclusivement destiné

au repassage de vêtements. Vous devez l’utiliser

uniquement dans des pièces fermées et dans le

cadre d’un usage privé. Toutes les autres applica-

tions ne sont pas conformes à l’usage prévu de

l’appareil. Ne l’utilisez pas à des ﬁns profession-

nelles !

Consignes de sécurité

DANGER - RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION!

► La tension de la source de courant doit correspondre aux indications ﬁgu-

rant sur la plaque signalétique de l'appareil.

► Faites immédiatement réparer l'appareil défectueux par un atelier qualiﬁé,

ou adressez-vous au service après-vente pour éviter tous dangers.

► Faites immédiatement remplacer les ﬁches secteur ou les cordons d'alimenta-

tion endommagés par des techniciens spécialisés agréés ou par le service

clientèle, pour éviter tout risque.

► Toujours tirer sur la ﬁche secteur, jamais sur le cordon.

► Ne pas exposer le cordon d'alimentation à des pliures ou des écrasements,

ne pas le mettre sur des surfaces brûlantes, ne pas l'installer à un endroit

entraînant des risques de chute.

► Toujours retirer la ﬁche de la prise de courant avant le nettoyage, lors du

remplissage avec de l'eau du robinet et après chaque utilisation.

► Déroulez toujours complètement le cordon d'alimentation avant de mettre

en marche le fer à repasser et n'utilisez aucune rallonge.

► Ne jamais manipuler le cordon ou la prise secteur avec des mains mouillées.

► N'utilisez en aucun cas le fer à repasser à vapeur à proximité d'eau,

contenue par exemple dans des baignoires, douches, lavabos ou autres

récipients. La proximité d'eau représente un danger, même si l'appareil est

éteint.

► Vous ne devez en aucun cas plonger le fer à repasser à vapeur dans un

liquide ni laisser un liquide quelconque entrer dans le boîtier. Il est interdit

d'exposer l'appareil à l'humidité et de l'utiliser à l'extérieur. Si toutefois du

liquide devait pénétrer dans le boîtier de l'appareil, débranchez immédiate-

ment la ﬁche de la prise secteur et conﬁez l'appareil à un atelier spécialisé

pour le réparer.

► Vous ne devez jamais ouvrir l'intérieur du fer à repasser à vapeur. Conﬁez

la réparation de l'appareil défectueux uniquement à un technicien spécialisé.

DANGER - RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION!

► N'utilisez en aucun cas le fer à repasser à vapeur s'il présente des dommages

visibles, s'il est tombé ou s'il présente des fuites d'eau. Faites d'abord répa-

rer l'appareil par un technicien spécialisé.

► Ne plus utiliser l'appareil lorsque la protection anti-pliure sur le câble est

endommagée !

► Cet appareil peut être utilisé par des enfants d'au moins 8 ans et par des

personnes disposant de capacités physiques, sensorielles ou mentales

réduites ou de peu d'expérience et/ou de connaissances, à condition

qu'ils soient surveillés ou qu'ils aient été initiés à l'utilisation sécurisée de

l'appareil et qu'ils aient compris les dangers en résultant. Ne pas laisser les

enfants jouer avec l'appareil. Ne pas laisser un enfant sans surveillance

eﬀectuer un nettoyage ou une opération d'entretien.

AVERTISSEMENT ! RISQUE DE BLESSURES!

► Tenir le fer à repasser uniquement par sa poignée lorsqu'il est chaud.

► Il faut surveiller les enfants, pour être sûr qu'ils ne jouent pas avec l'appareil.

► Ne jamais placer les mains sur le jet de vapeur ou sur les pièces métalliques

chaudes de l'appareil.

► Ne jamais ouvrir l'oriﬁce de remplissage du réservoir d'eau pendant l'utili-

sation de l'appareil. Laisser d'abord refroidir le fer à repasser à vapeur et

retirez la ﬁche de la prise de courant.

► Tenir le fer à repasser et son câble électrique, lorsqu'il est en service ou

encore chaud, hors de portée des enfants (de moins de 8 ans).

► Le fer à repasser à vapeur ne doit pas être laissé sans surveillance pendant

qu'il est raccordé au réseau.

ATTENTION ! RISQUE DE DÉGÂTS MATÉRIELS!

► Ne jamais laisser le fer à repasser à vapeur sans surveillance lorsqu'il est

chaud ou qu'il reste branché sur la tension secteur.

► Ne ranger le fer à repasser à vapeur que lorsqu'il est complètement refroidi.

► Le fer à repasser à vapeur doit être utilisé et déposé sur une surface stable.

► Repasser exclusivement avec les réglages de température recommandés

dans les consignes d'entretien concernant les textiles à repasser. Dans le

de consignes de repassage, commencez par le réglage de température

le plus bas.

► Installez le fer à repasser à vapeur uniquement sur une surface plane et

insensible à la température. Le fer à repasser à vapeur doit être stable.

► Si vous voulez déposer le fer à repasser à vapeur, placez-le sur le socle.

► Si les consignes d'entretien du vêtement interdisent le repassage (symbole ),

vous ne devez pas repasser le vêtement. Dans le cas contraire, vous pour-

riez l'abimer.

► Verser uniquement de l'eau du robinet ou de l'eau distillée dans le réservoir.

Dans le cas contraire, vous pourriez endommager l'appareil.

► Ne pas utiliser de solvants, d'alcool ou de détergents abrasifs pour nettoyer

le fer à repasser à vapeur. Sinon, vous pourriez l'endommager.

Avant la première utilisation

1) Sortez le fer à repasser à vapeur de son

emballage.

2) Retirez l’ensemble des étiquettes et éléments

de ﬁlm du fer à repasser à vapeur et de la

semelle de repassage.

AVERTISSEMENT -

RISQUE D'ÉTOUFFEMENT !

Les sachets en plastique sont dangereux. Pour

éviter tout risque d'étouﬀement, conservez les

sachets en plastique hors de portée des bébés

et jeunes enfants.

3) Remplissez le réservoir avec de l’eau du robinet

(voir «Remplir le réservoir à eau»).

4) Enﬁchez la ﬁche dans une prise tension secteur

qui correspond à la tension indiquée sur la

plaque signalétique.

5) Allumez le fer à repasser et réglez le niveau de

température 9/MAX (cf. le chapitre «Opérer»).

6) Laissez chauﬀer le fer à repasser à vapeur

pendant quelques minutes sur le niveau de

puissance le plus élevé.

7) Appuyez plusieurs fois sur la touche Jet de

vapeur  pour faire sortir de la vapeur de

la semelle de repassage.

8) Repassez alors un morceau de tissu dont vous

n’avez plus besoin, pour supprimer d’éven-

tuelles impuretés de la semelle de repassage.

9) Appuyez sur la touche

TEMP , jusqu’à

ce qu’un signal sonore retentisse, l’écran 

s’allume en rouge et «OFF» s’aﬃche.

10) Débranchez la ﬁche secteur de la prise de

courant secteur.

Remplir le réservoir d’eau

1) Posez le fer à repasser à vapeur sur le socle .

2) Ouvrez le couvercle de l’oriﬁce de remplissage

du réservoir d’eau .

3) A l’aide du gobelet gradué 3, versez de l’eau

du robinet dans le réservoir jusqu’au mar-

quage «MAX», sans le dépasser.

4) Fermez le couvercle de l’oriﬁce de remplissage

du réservoir d’eau .

REMARQUE

Si l'eau du robinet de votre domicile est trop dure,

il est recommandé de mélanger l'eau du robinet

avec de l'eau distillée. Sinon, vous risquez un

entartrage prématuré des buses pour la fonction

de jet de vapeur.

Pour prolonger le fonctionnement optimal du jet

de vapeur, veuillez mélanger l'eau du robinet avec

de l'eau distillée selon les proportions indiquées

dans le tableau.

s’allume en rouge. Après l’apparition de plu-

sieurs symboles dans l’aﬃchage à l’écran ,

«OFF» s’aﬃche.

ATTENTION - DÉGÂTS MATÉRIELS !

► Si les consignes d'entretien du vêtement inter-

disent le repassage (

), s'abstenir. Dans le

cas contraire, vous pourriez l'abimer.

2) Vériﬁez les consignes d’entretien sur les éti-

quettes du vêtement, pour voir si le vêtement est

approprié au repassage et à quelle tempéra-

ture.

3) Pour allumer le fer à repasser, appuyez sur la

touche TEMP

- jusqu’à ce que le niveau

de température adapté s’aﬃche à l’écran 

(cf. le chapitre «Signiﬁcation de l’aﬃchage à

l’écran»). La touche

TEMP  vous permet de

passer d’un niveau de température élevé à faible.

Dès que l’écran aﬃchant du type de tissu arrête

de clignoter et que le signal sonore retentit, la

température réglée est atteinte et vous pouvez

commencer à repasser.

REMARQUE

Si vous êtes confronté à du linge très sec et très

froissé, vous pouvez humidiﬁer le linge à l'aide

de la fonction de vaporisation. Pour humidiﬁer le

linge, appuyez sur la touche de vaporisation .

Repassage à vapeur

REMARQUE

Il faut avoir déﬁni au moins le niveau de tempéra-

ture 6. Sinon, aucune vapeur ne peut être générée.

■ Mettre le régulateur de vapeur  à l’intensité

de vapeur souhaitée. Dès que le fer à repasser

à vapeur est maintenu à l’horizontale, de la

vapeur commence à sortir de la semelle de

repassage.

■ Si vous faites glisser le régulateur de vapeur 

sur

, ou que vous maintenez le fer à repasser

à vapeur à la verticale, aucune vapeur ne

s’échappera de la semelle de repassage.

Repassage avec jet de vapeur

Le jet de vapeur est particulièrement approprié pour

lisser les zones diﬃcilement accessibles des textiles.

1) Lever légèrement le fer à repasser à vapeur.

2) Pour obtenir un jet de vapeur, appuyez sur la

touche «jet de vapeur» .

À l’aide du jet de vapeur vous pouvez également

lisser les textiles suspendus.

Tenez le fer à repasser verticalement et

appuyez sur la touche Jet de vapeur .

Débrancher provisoirement le fer à

repasser à vapeur

ATTENTION - RISQUE D'INCENDIE !

Ne jamais laisser le fer à repasser à vapeur sans

surveillance lorsqu'il est chaud ou qu'il reste

branché sur la tension secteur.

1) Pour éteindre le fer à repasser, maintenez

enfoncée la touche TEMP

- ou la

touche

TEMP jusqu’à ce qu’un signal

sonore retentisse, que l’écran  s’allume en

rouge et «OFF» s’aﬃche.

Arrêter le fer à repasser à vapeur

1) Retirez la ﬁche secteur de la prise de courant.

2) Videz le réservoir d’eau et nettoyez la semelle

de repassage.

3) Posez le fer à repasser à vapeur refroidi sur le

socle .

Système anti-goutte

Sur les fers à repasser à vapeur habituels, il peut

arriver que de l’eau s’égoutte de la semelle à des

températures trop basses. Or, ce fer à repasser

à vapeur est toutefois doté d’une caractéristique

spéciale, le système anti-goutte. Le fer à repasser

à vapeur arrête automatiquement le jet de vapeur

aux basses températures. Lorsque ceci se produit,

un «clic» se fait entendre. Réglez alors une tempé-

rature adaptée. Dès que cette dernière est atteinte,

la production de vapeur recommence.

Coupure automatique

Cet appareil est doté d’un dispositif d’arrêt automa-

tique qui interrompt le chauﬀage du fer à repasser

à vapeur.

Lorsque le fer à repasser à vapeur repose sur la

semelle de repassage et qu’il n’est pas déplacé

pendant env. 30 secondes, 6 signaux sonores re-

tentissent, «PAUSE» s’aﬃche et l’écran  s’allume

en rouge. Après quelques secondes, l’éclairage de

l’écran  s’éteint. Le chauﬀage du fer à repasser

à vapeur s’arrête.

Pour désactiver l’arrêt automatique, soulevez le

fer à repasser à vapeur et balancez-le légèrement

d’un côté et de l’autre.

L’écran  est allumé en bleu, le niveau de tem-

pérature préalablement déﬁni s’aﬃche et le fer à

repasser à vapeur chauﬀe à nouveau.

Lorsque le fer à repasser à vapeur repose sur le

socle  et qu’il n’est pas déplacé pendant env.

8 minutes, 6 signaux sonores retentissent, «PAUSE»

s’aﬃche et l’écran  s’allume en rouge. Après

quelques secondes, l’éclairage de l’écran 

s’éteint. Le chauﬀage du fer à repasser à vapeur

s’arrête.

Pour désactiver l’arrêt automatique, soulevez le

fer à repasser à vapeur et balancez-le légèrement

d’un côté et de l’autre.

L’écran  s’allume en bleu, le niveau de tempé-

rature préalablement déﬁni s’aﬃche et le fer à

repasser à vapeur chauﬀe à nouveau.

REMARQUE

La coupure automatique ne se substitue pas au

retrait de la ﬁche secteur !

Il protège seulement l'appareil d'une surchauﬀe

et évite toute consommation d'électricité inutile.

Il ne constitue toutefois pas une protection à

l'encontre d'un incendie, si vous posez par ex. le

fer à repasser à vapeur chaud sur le linge.

Nettoyage

Fonction d’auto-nettoyage

1) Remplir le réservoir d’eau jusqu’au marquage

MAX.

2) Branchez ensuite la ﬁche secteur dans la prise.

3) Pour allumer le fer à repasser et régler la tem-

pérature, appuyez sur la touche TEMP

jusqu’à ce que 9/MAX apparaisse à l’écran .

4) Mettez le régulateur de vapeur  à la puis-

sance vapeur maximale.

5) Amenez le fer à repasser à vapeur à la tempé-

rature réglée.

6) Maintenez le fer à repasser à vapeur à l’hori-

zontale au-dessus d’une bassine.

7) Appuyez sur la touche Self-Clean  et mainte-

nez-la enfoncée.

Pendant ce temps, de la vapeur et de l’eau

bouillante s’échappent des oriﬁces de sortie de

la vapeur dans la semelle de repassage. Les

salissures qui s’y trouvent éventuellement sont alors

évacuées.

8) Relâchez la touche Self-Clean  dès que la tota-

lité de l’eau dans le réservoir d’eau a été utilisée.

9) Passez plusieurs fois sur une serviette ou un

vieux morceau de tissu pour sécher soigneuse-

ment la semelle de repassage.

10) Appuyez sur la touche

TEMP , jusqu’à

ce qu’un signal sonore retentisse, l’écran 

s’allume en rouge et «OFF» s’aﬃche.

11) Retirez la ﬁche secteur de la prise de courant.

12) Laissez refroidir le fer à repasser à vapeur,

avant de le mettre de côté.

La prestation de garantie s’applique uniquement

aux vices de matériau ou de fabrication, et non

aux dégâts de transport, aux pièces d’usure ou

aux dégâts subis par des pièces fragiles telles que

Inleiding

Hartelijk gefeliciteerd met de aankoop van uw

nieuwe apparaat.

U hebt hiermee gekozen voor een hoogwaardig

product. De gebruiksaanwijzing maakt deel uit van

dit product. Deze bevat belangrijke aanwijzingen

voor veiligheid, gebruik en afvoeren. Maak u ver-

trouwd met alle bedienings- en veiligheidsaanwij-

zingen voordat u het product in gebruik neemt. Ge-

bruik het product uitsluitend op de voorgeschreven

wijze en voor de aangegeven doeleinden. Geef

alle documenten mee als u het product doorgeeft

aan een derde.

Gebruik in overeenstemming

met bestemming

Het stoomstrijkijzer is uitsluitend bestemd voor het

strijken van kleding. Het is alleen bestemd voor

gebruik in gesloten ruimtes en in privéhuishoudens.

Alle andere toepassingen gelden als niet in over-

eenstemming met de bestemming. Gebruik het niet

bedrijfsmatig!

Veiligheidsvoorschriften

GEVAAR - ELEKTRISCHE SCHOK!

► De spanning van de stroombron moet overeenkomen met de gegevens op

het typeplaatje van het apparaat.

► Laat een defect apparaat onmiddellijk door een gekwaliﬁceerde en vak-

kundige werkplaats repareren, of neem contact op met de klantenservice,

om risico's te vermijden.

► Laat beschadigde stekkers en snoeren onmiddellijk door geautoriseerd en

vakkundig personeel of door de klantenservice vervangen, om risico's te

vermijden.

► Trek altijd alleen aan de stekker en nooit aan het snoer.

► Knik of plet het snoer niet en leid het zodanig dat het niet in contact komt

met hete oppervlakken en dat niemand er op kan gaan staan of erover

kan struikelen.

► Haal vóór het schoonmaken, vóór het vullen met water en na elk gebruik

de stekker uit het stopcontact.

► Rol het snoer vóór inschakeling altijd volledig af en gebruik geen verlengsnoer.

► Pak het snoer of de stekker nooit met vochtige handen vast.

► Gebruik het stoomstrijkijzer in geen geval in de buurt van water dat zich in

badkuipen, douches, wastafels of andere reservoirs bevindt. De nabijheid

van water vormt een gevaar, ook als het apparaat is uitgeschakeld.

► Dompel het stoomstrijkijzer nooit onder in een vloeistof en voorkom dat er

vloeistoﬀen in de behuizing van het stoomstrijkijzer komen. Stel het apparaat

niet bloot aan vocht en gebruik het niet in de openlucht. Mocht er toch een

keer vloeistof in de behuizing van het apparaat komen, haal dan direct

de stekker van het apparaat uit het stopcontact en laat het apparaat door

gekwaliﬁceerd deskundig personeel repareren.

► U mag de apparaatbehuizing van het stoomstrijkijzer niet openen. Laat

een defect stoomstrijkijzer uitsluitend door bevoegd, deskundig personeel

repareren.

GEVAAR - ELEKTRISCHE SCHOK!

► Gebruik het stoomstrijkijzer in geen geval als het zichtbaar beschadigd

blijkt, gevallen is, of als er water uitloopt. Laat het eerst door deskundig

personeel repareren.

► Gebruik het apparaat niet meer als de knikbescherming om het snoer

beschadigd is!

► Dit apparaat kan worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf 8 jaar en door

personen met beperkte fysieke, zintuiglijke of mentale vaardigheden of gebrek

aan ervaring en/of kennis, mits zij onder toezicht staan of tevoren zijn

geïnstrueerd over het veilige gebruik van het apparaat en de gevaren die

daarvan uitgaan hebben begrepen. Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat

spelen. Kinderen mogen geen reiniging en gebruikersonderhoud uitvoeren

zonder toezicht.

WAARSCHUWING! LETSELGEVAAR!

► Pak het stoomstrijkijzer, als het heet is, alleen bij de handgreep vast.

► Bij kinderen is supervisie noodzakelijk om ervoor te zorgen dat ze niet met

het product spelen.

► Houd uw handen nooit in de stoomstoot of tegen hete metalen delen.

► De vulopening voor het waterreservoir mag tijdens het gebruik niet worden

geopend. Laat het stoomstrijkijzer eerst afkoelen en haal de stekker uit het

stopcontact.

► Het stoomstrijkijzer en het snoer moeten tijdens het inschakelen of afkoelen

buiten bereik zijn van kinderen die jonger zijn dan 8 jaar.

► Het stoomstrijkijzer mag niet onbeheerd worden gelaten terwijl het op het

lichtnet is aangesloten.

LET OP! MATERIËLE SCHADE!

► Laat het hete, ingeschakelde of op het lichtnet aangesloten stoomstrijkijzer

nooit onbeheerd.

► Berg het stoomstrijkijzer alleen op als het is afgekoeld.

► Het stoomstrijkijzer moet op een stabiel oppervlak gebruikt en neergezet

worden.

► Strijk uitsluitend met de op de labels aangegeven en voor het materiaal ge-

schikte temperatuurinstellingen. Anders kunt u het strijkgoed beschadigen.

Als er geen voorschriften bekend zijn, begint u op de laagste temperatuur-

instelling.

► Plaats het stoomstrijkijzer alleen op een ondergrond die egaal en hittebe-

stendig is. Het stoomstrijkijzer moet stabiel blijven.

► Als u het stoomstrijkijzer wilt wegzetten, zet het dan alleen neer op de sokkel.

► Als het label in de kleding strijken verbiedt (symbool ), mag u het kleding-

stuk niet strijken. Anders zou u het kledingstuk kunnen beschadigen.

► U mag het waterreservoir uitsluitend vullen met leidingwater/gedestilleerd

water. Anders kan het stoomstrijkijzer beschadigd raken.

► Het stoomstrijkijzer mag niet worden schoongemaakt met oplosmiddellen,

alcohol of schurende schoonmaakmiddelen. Anders zou u het kunnen

beschadigen.

Vóór de ingebruikname

1) Haal het stoomstrijkijzer uit de verpakking.

2) Verwijder alle stickers en stukken folie van het

stoomstrijkijzer en de strijkzool.

WAARSCHUWING -

GEVAAR VOOR VERSTIKKING!

Plastic tassen kunnen een gevaar vormen.

Bewaart plastic zakken buiten het bereik van

baby's en kleine kinderen, om het risico van

verstikking te voorkomen.

3) Vul het waterreservoir met water (zie hoofdstuk

“Waterreservoir vullen”).

4) Steek de stekker in een stopcontact dat over-

eenkomt met de spanning die is aangegeven

op het typeplaatje.

5) Schakel het strijkijzer in en stel de temperatuur-

stand 9/MAX in (zie hoofdstuk “Bedienen”).

6) Laat het stoomstrijkijzer enkele minuten op de

hoogste stand heet worden.

7) Druk enkele malen op de toets Stoomstoot ,

zodat er stoom uit de strijkzool komt.

8) Strijk dan een niet meer benodigd stuk stof,

om eventuele resten vuil van de strijkzool te

verwijderen.

9) Druk zo vaak op de toets

TEMP  tot er

een geluidssignaal klinkt, het display  rood

oplicht en OFF wordt weergegeven.

10) Haal de stekker uit het stopcontact.

Waterreservoir vullen

1) Zet het stoomstrijkijzer op de sokkel .

2) Open het deksel van de vulopening voor het

waterreservoir .

3) Vul het waterreservoir met de maatbeker 3

met leidingwater tot hooguit aan de “MAX”-

markering.

4) Sluit het deksel van de vulopening voor het

waterreservoir .

OPMERKING

Als het leidingwater in uw omgeving te hard is,

kunt u het leidingwater het beste mengen met

gedestilleerd water. Anders kunnen de sproei-

koppen voor de stoomstootfunctie voortijdig

verkalkt raken.

Voor verlenging van de optimale stoomstootfunctie

mengt u het leidingwater met gedestilleerd water

volgens de tabel.

Bedienen

Aansluiten en strijken

OPMERKING

Droogstrijken zonder stoom is mogelijk bij alle

temperaturen, stoomstrijken pas vanaf temperatuur-

stand 6 (

verschijnt tevens op het display ).

1) Steek de stekker in een stopcontact. Er klinkt

een geluidssignaal en het display  licht rood

op. Na het knipperen van meerdere symbolen

op het display  verschijnt OFF.

LET OP - MATERIËLE SCHADE!

► Als het label in de kleding strijken verbiedt

(

), mag u het kledingstuk niet strijken. Anders

zou u het kledingstuk kunnen beschadigen.

2) Controleer op het strijkvoorschrift op het label

in de kleding of en bij welke temperatuurinstel-

ling het kledingstuk gestreken mag worden.

3) Om het strijkijzer in te schakelen, drukt u

zo vaak op de toets TEMP

-tot de

gewenste temperatuurstand op het display 

wordt weergegeven (zie hoofdstuk “Betekenis

van de display-indicaties”). Met de toets

TEMP  kunt u van een hoge op een lagere

temperatuurstand overgaan.

Zodra de indicatie van de stofsoort op het display 

ophoudt met knipperen en er een geluidssignaal

klinkt, is de ingestelde temperatuur bereikt en kunt

u beginnen met strijken.

OPMERKING

Als u zeer droog en kreukelig wasgoed strijkt, kunt

u het wasgoed met behulp van de sproeifunctie

vochtig maken. Druk op de toets voor de sproei-

functie  om het wasgoed te bevochtigen.

Strijken met stoom

OPMERKING

De temperatuur moet minimaal op stand 6 zijn

ingesteld. Anders kan er geen stoom worden

geproduceerd.

■ Stel de gewenste stoomkracht in met de stoom-

regelaar . Zodra u het stoomstrijkijzer hori-

zontaal houdt, komt er stoom uit de strijkzool.

■ Wanneer u de stoomregelaar  naar

schuift of het stoomstrijkijzer verticaal houdt,

komt er geen stoom uit de strijkzool.

Strijken met stoomstoot

De stoomstoot is vooral geschikt om moeilijk toe-

gankelijke delen van het strijkgoed glad te strijken.

1) Til het stoomstrijkijzer licht op.

2) Druk op de toets Stoomstoot  voor een

stoomstoot.

Met behulp van de stoomstoot kunt u ook hangende

kleding gladstrijken.

Houd het strijkijzer verticaal en druk op

de toets Stoomstoot .

Stoomstrijkijzer tijdelijk uitzetten

LET OP - BRANDGEVAAR!

Laat het hete, ingeschakelde of op het lichtnet

aangesloten stoomstrijkijzer nooit onbeheerd.

1) Om het strijkijzer uit te schakelen, houdt u de

toets TEMP

- of de toets TEMP 

ingedrukt tot er een geluidssignaal klinkt, het

display  rood oplicht en OFF wordt weerge-

geven.

TEMP  tot er

een geluidssignaal klinkt, het display  rood

oplicht en OFF wordt weergegeven.

Stoomstrijkijzer uitschakelen

1) Trek de stekker uit het stopcontact.

2) Leeg het waterreservoir en reinig de strijkzool.

3) Zet het afgekoelde stoomstrijkijzer op de

sokkel .

Anti-drupsysteem

Bij traditionele stoomstrijkijzers kan het gebeuren dat

bij een te lage strijktemperatuur water uit de strijkzool

druppelt. Dit stoomstrijkijzer is echter voorzien van

een anti-drupsysteem. Het stoomstrijkijzer schakelt de

stoomstoot bij lage temperaturen automatisch uit. Als

dit gebeurt, hoort u een “klik”. Stel dan een geschikte

temperatuur in. Zodra deze is bereikt, wordt er weer

stoom geproduceerd.
