Herzlichen Glückwunsch zum Kauf Ihres neuen
Gerätes.
Sie haben sich damit für ein hochwertiges Produkt
entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestand-
teil dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise
für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Entsorgung. Machen
Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen
Bedien- und Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benut-
zen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und für
die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Händigen Sie
alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an
Dritte mit aus.
Bestimmungsgemäßer
Gebrauch
Das Dampfbügeleisen ist ausschließlich zum Bügeln
von Kleidung bestimmt. Sie dürfen es nur innerhalb
geschlossener Räume und in privaten Haushalten
verwenden. Alle anderen Verwendungen gelten
als nicht bestimmungsgemäß. Benutzen Sie es nicht
gewerblich!

Sicherheitshinweise
GEFAHR - ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Die Spannung der Stromquelle muss mit den Angaben auf dem Typenschild
des Gerätes übereinstimmen.
► Lassen Sie ein defektes Gerät umgehend von einer qualifizierten Fach-
werkstatt instand setzen, oder wenden Sie sich an den Kundenservice, um
Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort von autorisiertem
Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu
vermeiden.
► Ziehen Sie immer nur am Netzstecker, niemals am Netzkabel.
► Knicken oder quetschen Sie das Netzkabel nicht und verlegen Sie es so,
dass es nicht in Kontakt mit heißen Oberflächen kommt und niemand dar-
auf treten oder darüber stolpern kann.
► Ziehen Sie vor dem Reinigen, beim Auffüllen mit Leitungswasser und nach
jedem Gebrauch den Netzstecker.
► Rollen Sie das Netzkabel vor dem Einschalten immer vollständig ab und
verwenden Sie keine Verlängerungskabel.
► Fassen Sie das Netzkabel oder den Netzstecker niemals mit feuchten Hän-
den an.
► Benutzen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen keinesfalls in der Nähe von Wasser,
das in Badewannen, Duschen, Waschbecken oder anderen Gefäßen
enthalten ist. Die Nähe von Wasser stellt eine Gefahr dar, auch wenn das
Gerät ausgeschaltet ist.
► Sie dürfen das Dampfbügeleisen keinesfalls in eine Flüssigkeit tauchen und
keine Flüssigkeiten in das Gerätegehäuse des Dampfbügeleisens gelangen
lassen. Sie dürfen das Gerät keiner Feuchtigkeit aussetzen und nicht im Frei-
en benutzen. Falls doch einmal Flüssigkeit in das Gerätegehäuse gelangt,
ziehen Sie sofort den Netzstecker des Geräts aus der Netzsteckdose und
lassen Sie es von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren.
► Sie dürfen das Gerätegehäuse des Dampfbügeleisens nicht öffnen. Lassen
Sie das defekte Dampfbügeleisen nur von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal
reparieren.

► Benutzen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen auf keinen Fall, wenn es sichtbare Be-
schädigungen aufweist, heruntergefallen ist, oder Wasser ausläuft. Lassen
Sie es erst von qualifiziertem Fachpersonal reparieren.
► Benutzen Sie das Gerät nicht weiter, wenn der Knickschutz am Netzkabel
beschädigt ist!
► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und älter und von Personen mit
reduzierten physischen, sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Man-
gel an Erfahrung und/oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt
oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des Gerätes unterwiesen wurden
und die daraus resultierenden Gefahren verstanden haben. Kinder dürfen
nicht mit dem Gerät spielen. Reinigung und Benutzer-Wartung dürfen nicht
durch Kinder ohne Beaufsichtigung durchgeführt werden.
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Fassen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen nur am Griff an, wenn es heiß ist.
► Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass sie nicht mit
dem Gerät spielen.
► Halten Sie niemals Ihre Hände in den Dampfstoß oder an heiße Metallteile.
► Sie dürfen die Einfüllöffnung für den Wassertank während des Gebrauchs
nicht öffnen. Lassen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen zunächst erkalten und ziehen
Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.
► Das Dampfbügeleisen und dessen Anschlussleitung müssen während des
Einschaltens oder Abkühlens außer Reichweite von Kindern sein, die jünger
als 8 Jahre alt sind.
► Das Dampfbügeleisen darf nicht unbeaufsichtigt gelassen werden, wäh-
rend es am Netz angeschlossen ist.

ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Lassen Sie das heiße, am Stromnetz angeschlossene oder eingeschaltete
Dampfbügeleisen niemals unbeaufsichtigt.
► Verstauen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen nur im abgekühlten Zustand.
► Das Dampfbügeleisen muss auf einer stabilen Oberfläche benutzt und
abgestellt werden.
► Bügeln Sie nur mit den auf den Pflegehinweisen angegebenen und für das
Material geeigneten Temperatureinstellungen. Sie können die Wäsche
andernfalls beschädigen. Falls Sie keine Pflegehinweise kennen, beginnen
Sie mit der niedrigsten Temperatureinstellung.
► Stellen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen nur auf einen ebenen und hitzeunemp-
findlichen Untergrund. Das Dampfbügeleisen muss stabil stehen.
► Wenn Sie das Dampfbügeleisen aus der Hand legen wollen, stellen Sie es
nur auf dem Sockel ab.
► Falls die Pflegehinweise in der Kleidung das Bügeln untersagen
(Symbol ), dürfen Sie das Kleidungsstück nicht bügeln. Sie könnten das
Kleidungsstück andernfalls beschädigen.
► Sie dürfen ausschließlich Leitungswasser/destilliertes Wasser in den Was-
sertank einfüllen. Andernfalls beschädigen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen.
► Sie dürfen das Dampfbügeleisen nicht mit Lösungsmitteln, Alkohol oder
scheuernden Reinigungsmitteln säubern. Andernfalls könnten Sie es beschä-
digen.

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
1) Entnehmen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen aus der
Verpackung.
2) Entfernen Sie alle Aufkleber und Folienteile
vom Dampfbügeleisen und der Bügelsohle.
WARNUNG - ERSTICKUNGSGEFAHR!
Plastiktüten können eine Gefahr darstellen. Um
Erstickungsgefahr zu vermeiden, bewahren Sie
die Plastiktüten außerhalb der Reichweite von
Babies und Kleinkindern auf.
3) Füllen Sie Wasser in den Wassertank (siehe
Kapitel „Wassertank befüllen“).
4) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteck-
dose, die der auf dem Typenschild angegebe-
nen Spannung entspricht.
5) Schalten Sie das Bügeleisen ein und stellen
Sie Temperaturstufe 9/MAX ein (siehe Kapitel
„Bedienen“).
6) Heizen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen einige Minu-
ten auf der höchsten Stufe auf.
7) Betätigen Sie die Taste Dampfstoß einige
Male, so dass Dampf aus der Bügelsohle
austritt.
8) Bügeln Sie dann ein nicht mehr benötigtes
Stück Stoff, um eventuelle Unreinheiten von der
Bügelsohle zu beseitigen.
9) Drücken Sie so oft die Taste
TEMP , bis
ein Signalton ertönt, das Display rot leuch-
tet und OFF angezeigt wird.
10) Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteck-
dose.
Wassertank befüllen
1) Stellen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen auf den
Sockel .
2) Öffnen Sie den Deckel der Einfüllöffnung für
den Wassertank .
3) Füllen Sie mit dem Messbecher 3 Leitungs-
wasser bis höchstens zur „MAX“-Markierung in
den Wassertank.
4) Schließen Sie den Deckel der Einfüllöffnung für
den Wassertank .
HINWEIS
Sollte das Leitungswasser Ihres Wohnortes zu
hart sein, empfiehlt es sich, das Leitungswasser
mit destilliertem Wasser zu mischen. Ansonsten
können die Düsen für die Dampfstoß-Funktion
vorzeitig verkalken.
Zur Verlängerung der optimalen Dampfstoß-
Funktion mischen Sie das Leitungswasser mit
destilliertem Wasser entsprechend der Tabelle.

Anschließen und Bügeln
HINWEIS
Trockenbügeln ohne Dampf können Sie bei allen
Temperaturen, Dampfbügeln ist erst ab Tempe-
raturstufe 6 möglich (
erscheint zusätzlich im
Display ).
1) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteck-
dose. Es ertönt ein Signalton und das Display
leuchtet rot auf. Nach dem Aufblinken mehre-
rer Symbole im Display erscheint OFF.
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
► Falls die Pflegehinweise in der Kleidung
das Bügeln untersagen (
), dürfen Sie das
Kleidungsstück nicht bügeln. Sie könnten das
Kleidungsstück anderenfalls beschädigen.

2) Prüfen Sie die Pflegehinweise auf den Schil-
dern in der Kleidung, ob und bei welcher
Temperatureinstellung das Kleidungsstück zum
Bügeln geeignet ist.
3) Um das Bügeleisen einzuschalten, drücken
Sie die Taste TEMP
- so oft, bis die
geeignete Temperaturstufe im Display
angezeigt wird (siehe Kapitel „Bedeutung der
Display-Anzeige“). Mit der Taste
TEMP
können Sie von einer hohen zu einer niedrige-
ren Temperaturstufe wechseln.
Sobald die Anzeige der Stoffart im Display
aufhört zu Blinken und ein Signalton ertönt, ist die
eingestellte Temperatur erreicht und Sie können mit
dem Bügeln beginnen.
HINWEIS
Sollten Sie sehr trockene und knittrige Wäsche
bügeln, können Sie die Wäsche mit Hilfe der
Sprühfunktion befeuchten. Drücken Sie zum
Befeuchten der Wäsche auf die Taste für die
Sprühfunktion .
Dampfbügeln
HINWEIS
Es muss mindestens die Temperaturstufe 6 einge-
stellt sein. Ansonsten kann kein Dampf erzeugt
werden.
■ Stellen Sie mit dem Dampfregler die
gewünschte Dampfstärke ein. Sobald Sie das
Dampfbügeleisen waagerecht halten tritt Dampf
aus der Bügelsohle aus.
■ Wenn Sie den Dampfregler auf
schie-
ben, oder das Dampfbügeleisen senkrecht
halten, tritt kein Dampf aus der Bügelsohle aus.
Bügeln mit Dampfstoß
Der Dampfstoß eignet sich besonders, um schwer
zugängliche Bereiche der Wäsche zu glätten.
1) Heben Sie das Dampfbügeleisen leicht an.
2) Drücken Sie für einen Dampfstoß die Taste
Dampfstoß .
Mit Hilfe des Dampstoßes können Sie auch hän-
gende Textilien glätten.
Halten Sie das Bügeleisen senkrecht und
betätigen Sie die Taste Dampfstoß .
Dampfbügeleisen vorübergehend
abstellen
ACHTUNG - BRANDGEFAHR!
Lassen Sie das heiße, am Stromnetz angeschlos-
sene oder eingeschaltete Dampfbügeleisen
niemals unbeaufsichtigt.
1) Um das Bügeleisen auszuschalten, drücken
und halten Sie die Taste TEMP
- oder
Taste
TEMP so lange, bis ein Signalton
ertönt, das Display rot leuchtet und OFF
angezeigt wird.
Oder:
2) Drücken Sie so oft die Taste
TEMP , bis
ein Signalton ertönt, das Display rot leuch-
tet und OFF angezeigt wird.
Dampfbügeleisen außer Betrieb
nehmen
1) Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteck-
dose.
2) Leeren Sie den Wassertank und reinigen Sie
die Bügelsohle.
3) Stellen Sie das abgekühlte Dampfbügeleisen
auf den Sockel .
Anti-Tropf-System
Bei herkömmlichen Dampfbügeleisen kann es
vorkommen, dass bei zu geringer Bügeltemperatur
Wasser aus der Bügelsohle tropft. Dieses Dampf-
bügeleisen weist jedoch ein Ausstattungsmerkmal,
das Anti-Tropf-System, auf. Das Dampfbügeleisen
schaltet den Dampfstoß bei niedrigen Temperatu-
ren automatisch ab. Wenn dies geschieht, ist ein
„Klick” zu hören. Stellen Sie dann eine geeignete
Temperatur ein. Sobald diese erreicht ist, wird die
Dampferzeugung fortgesetzt.

Automatische Abschaltung
Das Dampfbügeleisen ist mit einer automatischen
Abschaltung ausgestattet. Diese stoppt das Heizen
des Dampfbügeleisens.
Wenn das Dampfbügeleisen auf der Bügelsohle
steht und es für ca. 30 Sekunden nicht bewegt
wird, erklingen 6 Warntöne, „PAUSE“ erscheint
und das Display leuchtet rot. Nach einigen
Sekunden wird die Beleuchtung des Displays
ausgeschaltet. Das Heizen des Dampfbügeleisens
wird gestoppt.
Um die automatische Abschaltung zu deaktivieren,
heben Sie das Dampfbügeleisen an und schwen-
ken Sie es leicht hin und her.
Das Display leuchtet blau, die vorher einge-
stellte Temperaturstufe wird angezeigt und das
Dampfbügeleisen heizt wieder auf.
Wenn das Dampfbügeleisen auf dem Sockel
steht und es für ca. 8 Minuten nicht bewegt wird,
erklingen 6 Warntöne, „PAUSE“ erscheint und das
Display leuchtet rot. Nach einigen Sekunden
wird die Beleuchtung des Displays ausge-
schaltet. Das Heizen des Dampfbügeleisens wird
gestoppt.
Um die automatische Abschaltung zu deaktivieren,
heben Sie das Dampfbügeleisen an und schwen-
ken Sie es leicht hin und her.
Das Display leuchtet blau, die vorher einge-
stellte Temperaturstufe wird angezeigt und das
Dampfbügeleisen heizt wieder auf.
HINWEIS
Die automatische Abschaltung ersetzt nicht das
Ziehen des Netzsteckers!
Sie schützt lediglich das Gerät vor Überhitzung
und vermeidet unnötigen Stromverbrauch.
Sie stellt jedoch keinen Schutz vor Brand dar,
wenn Sie z.B. das heiße Dampfbügeleisen auf
die Wäsche stellen.
Reinigen
Selbstreinigungs-Funktion
1) Füllen Sie den Wassertank bis zur Markierung
MAX.
2) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in die Netzsteck-
dose.
3) Um das Bügeleisen einzuschalten und die
Temperatur einzustellen, drücken Sie die Taste
TEMP
- so oft, bis 9/MAX im Display
angezeigt wird.
4) Stellen Sie den Dampfregler auf maximale
Dampfstärke.
5) Lassen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen auf die einge-
stellte Temperatur aufheizen.
6) Halten Sie das Dampfbügeleisen waagerecht
über eine Auffangschüssel.
7) Drücken Sie die Taste Self-Clean und halten
Sie diese gedrückt.
Dabei tritt Dampf und kochendes Wasser aus den
Dampfaustrittslöchern in der Bügelsohle aus. Even-
tuell vorhandene Verunreinigungen werden dabei
herausgespült.
8) Lassen Sie die Taste Self-Clean los, sobald
das Wasser im Wassertank aufgebraucht ist.
9) Fahren Sie einige Male über ein Handtuch
oder altes Stück Stoff hin und her, um die
Bügelsohle gründlich zu trocknen.
10) Drücken Sie so oft die Taste
TEMP , bis
ein Signalton ertönt, das Display rot leuch-
tet und OFF angezeigt wird.
11) Ziehen Sie den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteck-
dose.
12) Lassen Sie das Dampfbügeleisen abkühlen,
bevor Sie es zur Seite stellen.
Gehäuse
STROMSCHLAGGEFAHR!
► Bevor Sie das Gerät reinigen, ziehen Sie im-
mer den Netzstecker aus der Netzsteckdose.
► Öffnen Sie niemals das Gehäuse des Gerä-
tes. Andernfalls besteht Lebensgefahr durch
elektrischen Schlag.

WARNUNG - VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Lassen Sie das Gerät vor dem Reinigen
abkühlen. Ansonsten besteht Verbrennungs-
gefahr!
ACHTUNG - SACHSCHADEN!
► Verwenden Sie keine Lösungs- oder Scheuer-
mittel. Diese greifen die Oberflächen des
Gerätes an!
► Benutzen Sie keine aggressiven, chemischen
oder scheuernden Reinigungsmittel! Diese
können die Oberfläche irreparabel angreifen!
■ Reinigen Sie das Gehäuse nur mit einem wei-
chen, trockenem Tuch.
Aufbewahren
■ Kippen Sie noch im Wassertank befindliches
Wasser aus.
■ Bewahren Sie das abgekühlte Gerät an einem
sauberen, staubfreien und trockenem Ort auf.
Entsorgung
Werfen Sie das Gerät kei-
nesfalls in den normalen
Hausmüll. Dieses Produkt
unterliegt der europäischen
Richtlinie 2012/19/EU.
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen
Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über Ihre kommunale
Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell
geltenden Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifels-
fall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in Verbindung.
Die Verpackung besteht aus umwelt-
freundlichen Materialien, die Sie über
die örtlichen Recyclingstellen entsorgen
können.

Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie
ab Kaufdatum. Das Gerät wurde sorgfältig
produziert und vor Anlieferung gewissenhaft
geprüft. Bitte bewahren Sie den Kassenbon als
Nachweis für den Kauf auf. Bitte setzen Sie sich
im Garantiefall mit Ihrer Servicestelle telefonisch
in Verbindung. Nur so kann eine kostenlose
Einsendung Ihrer Ware gewährleistet werden.
Die Garantieleistung gilt nur für Material- oder
Fabrikationsfehler, nicht aber für Transportschäden,
Verschleißteile oder für Beschädigungen an zerbrech-
lichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter oder Akkus. Das Produkt

You have selected a high-quality product.
The operating instructions are a constituent of this
product. They contain important information about
safety, use and disposal. Before using the product,
familiarise yourself with all operating and safety
instructions. Use this product only as described and
only for the specified areas of application. Please
also pass these operating instructions on to any
future owner(s).
Proper use
This steam iron is intended exclusively for the ironing
of textiles. The iron may only be used indoors and
in domestic households. All other use is deemed to
be improper use. Not for commercial use!

Safety instructions
DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► The rating of the local power supply must correspond with the details given
on the rating plate of the appliance.
► To avoid potential risks, arrange for a defective appliance to be checked
and possibly repaired by qualified technicians, or contact our Customer
Service Department.
► To avoid risks, have defective plugs and/or power cables replaced immedi-
ately by qualified technicians or our Customer Service Department.
► Always disconnect from the mains power socket by pulling only on the plug
itself, never on the mains cable.
► Never bend (kink) or crush the power cable, always route it in such a way
that it cannot come into contact with hot surfaces and such that no-one can
step on or trip over it.
► After every use, before cleaning and when refilling with tap water, always
remove the plug from the mains power socket.
► Always unroll the power cable fully before switching on and do not use an
extension cable.
► Never touch the power cable or the plug with wet hands.
► Never use the steam iron adjacent to water contained in a bath, shower,
wash basin or other vessels. The proximity of water is hazardous, even if
the appliance is switched off.
► Under no circumstances should you submerge the steam iron in any liquid
or permit liquids to penetrate into the housing of the steam iron. Do not
expose the appliance to moisture and do not use it outdoors. If liquid gets
into the housing, disconnect the appliance from the mains power socket
immediately and have it repaired by a qualified technician.
► You may not open the steam iron appliance housing. Have a defective
appliance repaired only by an authorised technician.

DANGER – ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Under NO circumstance should you use the appliance if it shows visible
signs of damage, has fallen or leaks water. Arrange for it to be repaired by
qualified specialists.
► Discontinue use of the appliance if the anti-kink protection on the power
cable is damaged!
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8 years or more and by persons
with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience
and/or knowledge if they are supervised, or have been instructed in the
safe use of the appliance and have understood the potential risks. Children
must not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance must not
be carried out by children unless they are supervised.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► When the steam iron is hot, hold it only by the handle.
► Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the
appliance.
► Never place your hands in the steam spray or on hot metal parts.
► You may not open the filler opening of the water reservoir while the iron
is in use. Allow the steam iron to cool down first and remove the plug from
the power socket.
► When it is switched on or cooling down, the steam iron and its connecting
cable must be kept out of the reach of children who are younger than
8 years old.
► The steam iron may never be left unattended while it is connected to the
mains power supply.

CAUTION! DAMAGE TO PROPERTY!
► Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is switched on or connected
to the mains power supply.
► Put the steam iron into storage only when it has cooled down completely.
► This steam iron should only be used and set down on stable surfaces.
► Use only the ironing temperatures stated in the care instructions for the
material, or those suitable for it. Otherwise, you could damage the textiles.
Should care instructions not be given or known, start with the lowest tem-
perature setting.
► Place the steam iron only on level and heat-resistant surfaces. The steam
iron must be stable.
► When you want to put the steam iron down, place it only on its base.
► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing, (
symbol), the clothing item
may not be ironed. Ignoring this warning could lead to permanent damage
to the clothing item.
► The water tank should be filled only with mains or distilled water. Otherwise
you will damage the steam iron.
► Do not clean the steam iron with solvents, alcohol or abrasive cleaning
agents. These could damage it.

Before first use
1) Remove the steam iron from the packaging.
2) Remove all stickers and protective foils from
the steam iron and from sole of the iron.
WARNING –
RISK OF SUFFOCATION!
Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid the
risks of asphyxiation, keep plastic bags out of
the reach of babies and toddlers.
3) Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter
"Filling the water tank").
4) Insert the plug into a mains power socket
supplying an electrical current as detailed
on the rating plate.
5) Switch on the iron and set it to temperature
level 9/MAX (see chapter “Operation“).
6) Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at
this highest setting.
7) Activate the steam blast button a couple of
times so that steam comes out of the sole of
the iron.
8) Then iron over a piece of unwanted material
to remove any residues possibly remaining on
the sole of the iron.
9) Press the
TEMP button repeatedly until
you hear a signal, the display lights up red
and indicates OFF.
10) Pull the power plug out of the socket.
Filling the water tank
1) Place the steam iron on the base .
2) Open the cover of the filler opening for the
water tank .
3) Using the measuring beaker 3, fill the water
tank with water to the "MAX" marking, but no
further.
4) Close the cover of the filler opening for the
water tank .
NOTE
If the mains water in your area is rated as hard,
it is recommended that you mix the mains water
with some distilled water. Otherwise, the jets for
the steam blast function could calcify (become
blocked) prematurely.
To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix
mains water with distilled water according to the
table.

Operation
Plugging in and ironing
NOTE
You can dry iron without steam at all temperatures.
Steam ironing is only possible from temperature
level 6 and upward (
also appears in the
display ).
1) Insert the plug into a mains power socket.
There will be a beep and the display lights
up red. After several symbols have flashed on
the display , OFF appears.
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► If the clothing care instructions forbid ironing
(
), the garment may not be ironed.
Ignoring this warning could lead to permanent
damage to the clothing item.

2) Check the care instructions on the labels in
garments to see if they are suitable for being
ironed, and at which temperature setting.
3) To switch on the iron, press the TEMP
button - repeatedly until the required tem-
perature level appears on the display (see
chapter “Meaning of the display indicators”).
Use the
TEMP button to change to a
higher or lower temperature level.
As soon as the indicator for the material type stops
flashing on the display and a beep is heard, the
set temperature has been reached and you can
begin ironing.
NOTE
If you are ironing very dry and creased fabrics,
you can dampen the material using the spray
function. To dampen the material, press the
button for the spray function .
Steam ironing
NOTE
The temperature level must be set to at least level
6. Otherwise no steam can be produced.
■ Set the steam regulator to the desired steam
setting. As soon as you hold the steam iron
horizontally, steam will discharge from the sole
of the iron.
■ If you set the steam regulator to
or hold
the steam iron vertically no steam will come out
of the sole of the iron.
Ironing with steam blast
The steam blast function is especially suitable for
smoothing difficult-to-reach parts of a garment.
1) Slightly raise the steam iron.
2) Press the steam blast button for a blast of
steam.
You can also use the steam blast function to smooth
hanging textiles.
Hold the iron vertically and press the
steam blast button .
Temporarily setting the steam iron
down
CAUTION – RISK OF FIRE!
Never leave a hot steam iron unattended if it is
switched on or connected to the mains power
supply.
1) To switch off the steam iron, press and hold the
TEMP
button - or the TEMP button
until you hear a beep and the display lights
up red and indicates OFF.
Or:
2) Press the
TEMP button repeatedly until
you hear a beep and display lights up red
and indicates OFF.
Taking the steam iron out of service
1) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
2) Empty the water tank and clean the sole of
the iron.
3) Place the cooled-down steam iron on the
base .
Anti-drip system
With conventional steam irons it can happen that
water drips from the iron sole at low temperatures.
This steam iron, however, is equipped with a special
anti-drip system. At low temperatures the steam iron
automatically switches off the steam blast function.
When this happens, a "click" can be be heard.
Set a suitable temperature level. As soon as this is
reached, steam production is resumed.

Automatic switch-off
This steam iron is fitted with an automatic switch-off
system. This stops the steam iron from heating up.
When the steam iron is resting on its sole and is not
moved for approx. 30 seconds, 6 warning beeps
will sound, "PAUSE" appears and the display
lights up red. After a few seconds, the display illumi-
nation switches off. The steam iron will stop
heating up.
To deactivate the automatic switch-off, lift up the
steam iron and move it gently from side to side.
The display lights up blue, the previously set
temperature level is shown and the steam iron
heats up again.
When the steam iron is resting on its base and is
not moved for approx. 8 minutes, 6 warning beeps
will sound, "PAUSE" appears and the display
lights up red. After a few seconds, the illumination of
the display switches off. The steam iron will stop
heating up.
To deactivate the automatic switch-off, lift up the
steam iron and move it gently from side to side.
The display lights up blue, the previously set
temperature level is shown and the steam iron
heats up again.
NOTE
The automatic switch-off is not intended as a
substitute for removing the plug from the mains
power!
It is merely designed to prevent the appliance
from overheating and helps to avoid unneces-
sary power consumption.
It does not, however, in itself provide fire protec-
tion, for instance, if you place and leave the hot
steam iron on flammable material.
Cleaning
Self-cleaning function
1) Fill the water tank to the marking MAX.
2) Insert the plug into the mains power socket.
3) To switch on the iron and set the temperature,
press the
TEMP button - repeatedly until
9/MAX appears on the display .
4) Set the steam regulator to maximum steam
power.
5) Allow the steam iron to heat up to the set
temperature.
6) Hold the steam iron horizontally over a catch-
ment receptacle.
7) Press and hold down the self-clean button .
Steam and boiling water flows from the steam exit
holes in the sole of the iron. Impurities that may be
present are washed out.
8) Release the self-clean button as soon as all
of the water has run out.
9) Iron over a towel or old piece of material a few
times to dry the sole of the iron thoroughly.
10) Press the
TEMP button repeatedly until
you hear a signal, the display lights up red
and indicates OFF.
11) Remove the plug from the mains power socket.
12) Allow the steam iron to cool down before
placing it in storage.

► Never open the appliance housing! Otherwise
there is a risk of a fatal electric shock.

cleaning it! Otherwise, there is a risk of burns!
CAUTION – PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use solvents or abrasive cleaners.
These will damage the surface of the appliance!
► Do not use abrasive, aggressive or chemical
cleaning agents! They could irreparably
damage the surface!
■ Clean the housing with a soft, dry cloth only.
Storage
■ Empty any remaining water from the water tank.
■ Store the cooled-down appliance in a clean,
dust-free and dry location.
Disposal
Under no circumstances
should you dispose of the ap-
pliance in the normal domestic
waste. This product is subject
to the provisions of European
Directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved disposal
company or your municipal waste facility. Please
observe the currently applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal centre if you
are in any doubt.
The packaging is made from environ-
mentally friendly material and can be
disposed of at your local recycling plant.
Troubleshooting

The warranty provided for this appliance is
3 years from the date of purchase. This appliance
has been manufactured with care and inspected
meticulously prior to delivery. Please retain your
receipt as proof of purchase. In the event of a
warranty claim, please contact your Customer
Service by telephone. This is the only way to
guarantee free return of your goods.
The warranty only covers claims for material and
manufacturing defects, not for transport damage,
wearing parts or for damage to fragile components
such as switches or batteries. This appliance is
intended solely for private use and not for com-
mercial purposes.
The warranty is deemed void if this product has been
subjected to improper or inappropriate handling,
abuse or modifications which were not carried out
by one of our authorised service centres.
Your statutory rights are not restricted in any way
by this warranty.
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs
made under the warranty. This also applies to
replaced and repaired parts. Damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported
immediately after unpacking, or no later than two
days after the date of purchase. Repairs made
after expiry of the warranty period are chargeable.
