3. Put the food dehydrator trays3 and the
top food dehydrator tray2 on the de-
vice.

8.2 Make settings and start
the food dehydration
process
NOTE: for reference values of the drying
temperature, the drying time and the dehy-
dration test, please refer to Chapter "Food
tables" on page 27.
1. Insert the mains plug4 into a wall sock-
et corresponding to the specifications of
the rating plate. On the display13 00
flashes and Hr is shown.
2. Using the buttons —15 and +16 set
the drying time between 1 and 48
hours (01 Hr to 48 Hr) in 1-hour incre-
ments.
3. Briefly press the button 14 once to
switch to the temperature setting. On the
display 55 flashes and °C is shown.
4. In order to change the unit of the tem-
perature between °C and °F, keep the
button 14 pressed.
5. Using the buttons —15 and +16 to
set the drying temperature between
40 °C and 70 °C (or between 100 °F
and 160 °F) in 5°-increments.

Briefly press the button

to
start the food dehydration process.
The fan9 starts. On the display13, the
clock symbol is shown, indicating al-
ternatively the set temperature and the
remaining drying time. The drying time
is shown in hours (Hr), within the last
hour in minutes (Min).
7. Once the time set has elapsed, the de-
vice switches off. The fan9 stops. On
the display13 00 is shown steadily.
8. Check the dehydrated food applying
the dehydration test (see “Food tables”
on page 27). If the dehydrated food
has not yet been dried sufficiently, start
the food dehydration process again for
another shorter drying time.
9. Once the time set has elapsed, the de-
vice switches off. The fan9 stops. For a
brief time, an audio signal will sound
and the display13 will show 00 contin-
uously.
10.After the completion of the food dehy-
dration process, disconnect the mains
plug4.
8.3 Changing the setting
during the food
dehydration process
During the dehydration process, you can
change the setting of drying time and drying
temperature at any time.
1. Press the button 14 briefly. The re-
maining time flashes on the display13.
2. As long as the value on the display13
flashes (approx. 2 seconds), you are
able to change it by pressing the but-
tons —15 and +16 .
NOTE: even if the remaining time has been
shown in minutes during the past hour, the
drying time can only be changed in hourly
increments.

Briefly press the button

once
to
switch to the temperature setting. As
long as the value on the display flashes
(approx. 2 seconds), you can change
the temperature setting by pressing the
buttons —15 and +16 .
4. After approx. 2 seconds, the values will
be stored and shown steadily.
