Hmota kostí

Naše kosti sú ako aj celé naše telo podriadené

prirodzeným procesom výstavby, odburávania a

stárnutia. Kostná hmota v detskom veku prudko

rastie a medzi 30 až 40 rokom dosahuje maximum.

S pribúdajúcim vekom kostná hmota potom opäť

ubúda. Zdravou stravou (najmä kalcium a vitamín

D) a pravidelným telesným pohybom môžete čias-

točne pôsobiť proti tomuto zmenšovaniu. Cieleným

vybudovaním svalovej hmoty môžete dodatočne

posilniť stabilitu kostry.

Poznámka: Myslite na to, že táto diagnostická

váha nevykazuje úplnú kostnú hmotu, ale iba ob-

sah minerálov v kostiach (bez obsahu vody a bez

organických látok).

Hmota kostí sa dá sotva ovplyvniť, mierne však

kolíše vrámci ovplyvňujúcich faktorov (hmotnosť,

výška, vek, pohlavie). Neexistujú žiadne uznávané

smernice a odporúčania.

Poznámka: Nezamieňajte si kostnú hmotu s

hustotou kostí.

Hustotu kostí možno zmerať iba pri lekárskom vy-

šetrení (napr. počítačová tomograﬁa, ultrazvuk).

Preto s touto diagnostickou váhou nemožno vyvo-

dzovať závery ohľadom zmien kostí a tvrdosti kostí

(napr. osteoporóza).

BMR

Bazálny metabolizmus (BMR = Basal Metabolic

Rate) je množstvo energie, ktorú si vyžaduje telo

pri úplnom pokoji pre udržanie jeho základných

funkcií (napr. keď človek leží 24 hodín v posteli).

Táto hodnota v zásade závisí od hmotnosti, telesnej

výšky a veku.

Na diagnostickej váhe je zobrazená v jednotke

kcal / deň a vypočítaná na základe vedecky uzna-

ného Harris-Benedict-vzorca.

Toto množstvo energie Vaše telo v každom prípade

potrebuje a musí byť telu vo forme potravy znova

dodané. Ak dlhodobo prijímate menej energie,

môže sa to prejaviť na Vašom zdraví.

AMR

Aktívna metabolická výkonnosť (AMR = Active

Metabolic Rate) je množstvo energie, ktoré telo

spotrebuje v aktívnom stave za deň. Spotreba ener-

gie človeka stúpa s rastúcou telesnou aktivitou a je

nameraná na diagnostickej váhe na základe zada-

ného stupňa aktivity (1– 5).

Pre udržanie aktuálnej hmotnosti musí byť spotrebo-

vaná energia opäť dodaná telu vo forme jedla a

tekutín.

Ak je dlhšiu dobu dodávané menšie množstvo ener-

gie ako je spotrebované, telo si rozdiel principiálne

vyrovná prostredníctvom existujúcich tukových zá-

sob, hmotnosť klesne. Ak je však dlhšiu dobu dodá-

vané väčšie množstvo energie ako je vypočítaná

aktívna metabolická výkonnosť (AMR), telo nemôže

nadbytok energie spáliť, nadbytok sa uloží v tele

ako tuk, hmotnosť stúpne.
