8. Vacuum cleaning
WARNING! Risk of material dam-
age!
~All of the filters and a dust bag must al-
ways be assembled when vacuuming.
Switching the vacuum cleaner on
and off
1. Assemble the accessories needed.
2. Pull out the power cable20 at least to
the yellow mark. Stop at the red mark.
The power cable must not be pulled out
by force until it stops.
3. Plug the mains plug20 into a suitable
wall socket. The wall socket must still be
easily accessible after connection.
4.
Press the on/off switch
23 to switch
the device on.
Regulating suction power
The vacuum cleaner has an electronic suc-
tion power control, with which the power
can be adjusted continuously.
Set the suction power between min
(minimum) and max (maximum) with
the control dial22.
The symbols give you clues for the dif-
ferent respective purposes:
Auxiliary air valve
When vacuuming light, delicate ob-
jects (such as curtains) you can regulate
the suction power flexibly when neces-
sary. The further the auxiliary air
valve11 is opened, the weaker the suc-
tion power becomes.
During normal vacuuming, the auxiliary
air valve11 should remain completely
closed, so that the suction force is not re-
duced.
Fully open the auxiliary air valve11 to
quickly release textiles which have been
sucked in.
Stop vacuuming
1. To switch off the device, push the on/off
switch 23.
2. Disconnect the mains plug20 from the
wall socket.
3. To roll up the power cable, hold the
power cable20 firmly and press the
button 21.
NOTE: pull out the power cable slightly if it
stops rolling up.
4. Put away the vacuum cleaner (see
“Parking the vacuum cleaner” on
page 30).
