Cleaning the kettle
1. Disconnect the mains plug5 from the
wall socket.
2. Wipe the kettle2, the device base4
and the power cable5 with a damp
cloth if necessary. Dry with a dry cloth.
3. Allow all parts to dry completely before
you put them away or use the device
again.
Cleaning the limescale filter
1. Open the lid9.
2. Press the limescale filter1 down and in-
wards.
3. Pull the limescale filter1 off upwards
from the kettle2.
4. Clean the limescale filter1 with a moist
dishcloth under running water.
5. Place the limescale filter1 into the in-
tended recess in the kettle2 and press it
down and outwards.
6. Release the downward pressure so that
the limescale filter1 will lock in place at
the top in the recess.
Descaling
After some time, the boiling process will re-
sult in limescale being deposited in parts of
the kettle (depending on the hardness of the
water used). You should remove this at regu-
lar intervals, because otherwise the power
consumption of the device will increase.
1. Press the limescale filter1 down and in-
wards.
2. Pull the limescale filter1 off upwards
from the kettle2. If there is limescale
residue in the limescale filter1, place it
in the kettle when descaling.
3. Fill the limescale remover into the
kettle2. Use a commercially available
limescale remover, e.g. limescale re-
mover for coffee machines. Comply
with the instructions on the packaging
of the limescale remover. You can find
the next steps in the instructions of the li-
mescale remover. Rinse the kettle multi-
ple times after descaling, if necessary.
