Q Protect the device against hu-
midity and penetration of liq-
uids.
Q When disconnecting, pull the
power cable from the wall
socket by the power plug
only, do not jerk out the cable!
Q Do not use the device in the vi-
cinity of open flames.
Q Do not place the device di-
rectly under or above a wall
socket.
Q In the case of faults or during
a thunderstorm, pull out the
connector plug from the wall
socket.
Q Never use the device in the
direct vicinity of a bath tub,
shower or swimming pool.
Q Use the device only when the
power cable is completely run
out. Never wind the power ca-
ble around the device. Make
sure that the power cable does
not contact hot surfaces. Route
the cable so that nobody can
stumble over it.
Preliminary measures prior to
starting up
Mounting the Device
Remove all packaging material and all trans-
port bracing from the device.
For a safe and trouble-free running of the device,
choose the installation location which meets the fol-
lowing requirements:
- The floor should be firm, flat and horizontal.
- Keep the following minimum clearances from
the device housing: 50 cm from its lateral
side, 50 cm above, 50 cm from its rear side
and 50 cm from its front side.
- Do not place the device in a hot and wet or
very humid environment or near combustible
material.
- The socket should be easily accessible so that
the mains connection cable can be easily dis-
connected, if necessary.
- Temperature range: from 0 to +40 °C
- air humidity (no condensation): 5–75 %
Please note: When you use the device the first
time, a slight odour may occur.
Starting up
Turning ON/OFF the ventilator
and heating levels
Make sure that the heating level switch 2 is
set on 0. Then connect the heater to a ground-
ed socket protected by a residual-current de-
vice with overload protection. Ensure a free
rotation of the fan.
Then turn the appliance ON by clockwise turn-
ing the temperature regulator 5 until you
hear a click and set the heating level switch 2
to the desired position. The control light 1 il-
luminates. Thus defined:
