ein hochwertiges Produkt entschieden. Die Bedienungsanleitung ist Bestandteil
dieses Produkts. Sie enthält wichtige Hinweise für Sicherheit, Gebrauch und Ent-
sorgung. Machen Sie sich vor der Benutzung des Produkts mit allen Bedien- und
Sicherheitshinweisen vertraut. Benutzen Sie das Produkt nur wie beschrieben und
für die angegebenen Einsatzbereiche. Bewahren Sie diese Bedienungsanleitung gut
auf. Händigen Sie alle Unterlagen bei Weitergabe des Produkts an Dritte mit aus.
Bestimmungsgemäßer Gebrauch
Dieses Gerät ist dafür bestimmt, Tee aufzubrühen und warmzuhalten. Es ist nur
für den privaten Haushalt bestimmt und nicht für gewerbliche oder industrielle
Zwecke konzipiert.

GEFAHR! ELEKTRISCHER SCHLAG!
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass der Sockel mit den elektrischen
Anschlüssen niemals mit Wasser in Berührung kommt! Lassen
Sie den Sockel erst vollständig trocknen, wenn er versehentlich
feucht geworden ist.
► Verwenden Sie das Gerät nur mit dem mitgelieferten Sockel.
► Achten Sie darauf, dass im Betrieb das Netzkabel niemals
nass oder feucht wird. Führen Sie es so, dass es nicht einge-
klemmt oder anderweitig beschädigt werden kann.
► Lassen Sie beschädigte Netzstecker oder Netzkabel sofort
von autorisiertem Fachpersonal oder dem Kundenservice
austauschen, um Gefährdungen zu vermeiden.
► Ziehen Sie nach Gebrauch immer den Stecker aus der Steck-
dose. Ausschalten alleine genügt nicht, weil noch immer
Netzspannung im Gerät anliegt, solange der Netzstecker in
der Steckdose steckt.

► Es darf keine Flüssigkeit auf die Gerätesteckverbindung
überlaufen.
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie ins Wasser oder in andere Flüs-
sigkeiten! Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages!
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Betreiben Sie das Gerät immer nur bei geschlossenem Deckel,
andernfalls funktioniert die Abschaltautomatik nicht. Kochen-
des Wasser kann dann über den Rand herausspritzen.
► Es können heiße Dampfschwaden entweichen. Die Kanne ist zu-
dem im Betrieb sehr heiß. Tragen Sie daher Topf-Handschuhe.
► Stellen Sie sicher, dass das Gerät stabil und senkrecht steht,
bevor Sie dieses einschalten. Kochendes Wasser kann ein
unstabil stehendes Gerät zum Umstürzen bringen.
► Gehen Sie vorsichtig mit der Kanne um. Zerbrochenes Glas
kann schwere Schnittverletzungen verursachen.
► Füllen Sie niemals mehr Wasser als bis zur MAX-Markierung
ein. Ansonsten kann kochendes Wasser herausspritzen und
zu Verbrühungen führen.
► Öffnen Sie nicht den Deckel, während das Wasser kocht.
► Geräte können von Personen mit reduzierten physischen,
sensorischen oder mentalen Fähigkeiten oder Mangel an
Erfahrung und/oder Wissen benutzt werden, wenn sie
beaufsichtigt oder bezüglich des sicheren Gebrauchs des
Gerätes unterwiesen wurden und die daraus resultierenden
Gefahren verstanden haben.
► Dieses Gerät kann von Kindern ab 8 Jahren und darüber be-
nutzt werden, wenn sie beaufsichtigt werden oder bezüglich

WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Reinigung und die Wartung durch den Benutzer dürfen nicht
durch Kinder vorgenommen werden, es sei denn, sie sind 8
Jahre oder älter und werden beaufsichtigt.
► Das Gerät und seine Anschlussleitung sind von Kindern jünger
als 8 Jahre fernzuhalten.
► Kinder dürfen nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
► Kinder sollten beaufsichtigt werden, um sicherzustellen, dass
sie nicht mit dem Gerät spielen.
► Benutzen Sie keine externe Zeitschaltuhr oder ein separates
Fernwirksystem, um das Gerät zu betreiben.
► Nach der Anwendung verfügt die Oberfläche des Heizele-
ments noch über Restwärme.
► Bei Fehlanwendung kann es zu Verletzungen kommen!
Verwenden Sie das Gerät immer bestimmungsgemäß!

ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Füllen Sie nach einem Kochgang keinesfalls sofort wieder
kaltes Wasser in das Gerät. Es können sich Spannungen im
Glas bilden und das Glas kann brechen!

Vor dem ersten Gebrauch
■ Entfernen Sie sämtliche Verpackungsmaterialien vom Gerät.
■ Spülen Sie alle Teile des Brühsystems (Brühkammer 0, Steigrohr q, Sieb w)
und die Kanne 3 sorgfältig ab (siehe Kapitel „Reinigen und Pflegen”).
Gehen Sie vor dem ersten Gebrauch wie folgt vor:
1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne 3vom Sockel 5.
2) Füllen Sie die Kanne 3 bis zur MAX-Markierung mit Wasser, geben Sie
einen Teelöffel Zitronensaft (oder Zitronenkonzentrat) dazu. Wenn keine
Zitrone verfügbar ist, können Sie einen Teebeutel (oder einen Teelöffel losen
Tee) direkt ins Wasser geben.
3) Setzen Sie das Brühsystem in die Kanne 3 ein.
4) Schließen Sie den Deckel 1und setzen Sie die Kanne 3 auf den Sockel
5.
5) Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter 8 ein. Die Kontrollleuchte 4 und
der Ein-/Ausschalter 8leuchten auf. Warten Sie, bis die Kontrollleuchte 4
erlischt.
6) Schalten Sie das Gerät am Ein-/Ausschalter 8 aus und reinigen Sie das
Gerät, wie unter „Reinigen und Pflegen” beschrieben.
Der Teekocher ist nun einsatzbereit.
Bedienen
ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Geben Sie keinen Zucker in den Teekocher hinein. Erhitzen Sie keine Milch
oder Alkohol im Teekocher. Das führt zu irreparablen Schäden am Gerät.
HINWEIS
► Grüner Tee eignet sich nicht zum Aufbrühen im Teekocher. Die ideale
Brühtemperatur für grünen Tee liegt bei etwa 70°C. Bei höheren Brühtem-
peraturen, wie sie der Teekocher erzeugt, treten Gerbstoffe aus. Der Tee
schmeckt bitter.

1) Nehmen Sie die Kanne 3vom Sockel 5.
2) Öffnen Sie den Deckel 1 und nehmen Sie das Brühsystem heraus. Stellen
Sie das Brühsystem auf einer ebenen Fläche ab.
3) Füllen Sie die gewünschte Wassermenge in die Kanne 3. Füllen Sie nie
mehr Wasser als bis zur MAX-Markierung und nie weniger als bis zur MIN-
Markierung ein.

► Achten Sie darauf, dass kein Wasser aus der Kanne 3 überläuft, um
Verbrennungen und elektrische Schocks zu vermeiden.
4) Nehmen Sie das Brühsystem und ziehen Sie das Steigrohr q mit dem Sieb w
nach oben.
5) Geben Sie die gewünschte Menge Tee oder Teebeutel in die Brühkammer 0.
HINWEIS
► Achten Sie darauf, dass keine Etiketten oder Beutelfäden im Gerät verbleiben.
6) Setzen Sie das Brühsystem wieder in die Kanne 3 ein. Achten Sie darauf,
dass das Steigsrohr q in die Aussparung am Boden der Kanne 3 greift.
Die Brühkammer 0 muss mit der abgeflachten Seite zum Griff 2 einge-
setzt werden.
7) Schließen Sie den Deckel 1.
8) Setzen Sie die Kanne 3wieder auf den Sockel 5.
9) Stecken Sie den Netzstecker in eine Netzsteckdose und stellen Sie den Ein-/
Ausschalter 8 auf die Position „I”. Die Kontrollleuchte 4 sowie der Ein-/
Ausschalter 8 leuchten.
Das Wasser wird nun gekocht, durch das Steigrohr q nach oben gedrückt und
läuft durch die Brühkammer 0 wieder in die Kanne 3.
Das Gerät schaltet sich, nachdem das Wasser gekocht hat, automatisch in die
Warmhaltefunktion. Die Kontrollleuchte 4 erlischt, nur noch der Ein-/Ausschalter 8
leuchtet. Sobald das Wasser erkaltet, kocht der Teekocher das Wasser wieder
auf. Die Kontrollleuchte 4 leuchtet während des Kochvorganges wieder auf.
HINWEIS
► Da das Wasser beim erneuten Aufkochen wieder durch das Brühsystem
geleitet wird, sollten Sie nach dem ersten Brühvorgang das Brühsystem aus
der Kanne 3 heraus nehmen.
WARNUNG! VERLETZUNGSGEFAHR!
► Das Brühsystem ist sehr heiß! Es besteht die Gefahr von Verbrennungen!
Benutzen Sie Topfhandschuhe, wenn Sie das Brühsystem berühren.

HINWEIS
► Je länger Sie das Getränk warm halten und je mehr Flüssigkeit verdampft,
desto stärker wird das Getränk. Wir empfehlen daher, den Tee möglichst
nach dem ersten Aufbrühen zu trinken.
■ Sie können den Kochvorgang jederzeit unterbrechen: Stellen Sie hierzu den
Ein-/Ausschalter 8 in die Position „0”. Der Kochvorgang wird beendet.
■ Wenn Sie die Kanne 3vom Sockel 5 nehmen, wird der Kochvorgang
unterbrochen.
ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Lassen Sie die Kanne 3immer erst abkühlen, bevor Sie kaltes Wasser für
einen weiteren Brühvorgang einfüllen! Ansonsten kommt es zu Spannungen
im Glas und die Kanne 3 kann zerbrechen.
Überhitzungsschutz
Bei Überhitzung schaltet der Überhitzungsschutz das Heizelement im Inneren
des Gerätes aus. Der Ein-/Ausschalter 8 leuchtet weiter, das Gerät heizt jedoch
nicht mehr.
Der Überhitzungsschutz wird aktiviert, wenn sich kein oder nicht ausreichend
Wasser in der Kanne 3 befindet und das Gerät trotzdem eingeschaltet wird.
Wenn der Überhitzungsschutz das Heizelement abgeschaltet hat, gehen Sie bitte
wie folgt vor:
■ Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen.
■ Drücken Sie die Reset-Taste 6 an der Unterseite der Kanne 3. Das Gerät
kann jetzt wieder benutzt werden.
Reinigen und Pflegen

► Ziehen Sie vor der Reinigung den Netzstecker. Es besteht die Gefahr eines
elektrischen Schlages! Lassen Sie das Gerät abkühlen. Verbrennungsgefahr!
Tauchen Sie das Gerät nie ins Wasser oder in andere Flüssigkeiten!
Es besteht die Gefahr eines elektrischen Schlages! Das Gerät kann
irreparabel beschädigt werden.

Um bei jedem Brühvorgang ein optimales Tee-Ergebnis zu erzielen, sollte das
Gerät nach jeder Benutzung gereinigt werden. Dadurch wird vermieden, dass:
–die Kombination von Kalk und Gerbstoffen, verursacht durch das Kochen
des Wassers und die Teezubereitung, die Funktion des Teekochers
beeinträchtigt;
–bei regelmäßigem Gebrauch des Teekochers unter Umständen das
Aroma von stark aromatischem Tee annimmt und an andere Teesorten
abgibt.
■ Reinigen Sie die Kanne 3 des Teekochers mit einem feuchten Tuch. Bei hart-
näckigeren Verschmutzungen geben Sie ein mildes Spülmittel auf das Tuch.
Spülen Sie die Kanne 3danach mit viel klarem Wasser ab, so dass alle
Spülmittelreste beseitigt werden. Die Aussparung am Boden der Kanne 3
können Sie gut mit einer Spülbürste reinigen.
ACHTUNG! SACHSCHADEN!
► Benutzen Sie keine Scheuermittel, chemische oder ätzende Reinigungsmittel.
Diese können das Gerät irreparabel beschädigen!
■ Reinigen Sie das Brühsystem mit warmem Wasser und einem flüssigen
Spülmittel:
■ Die Brühkammer 0 und das Sieb w können Sie mit einer Spülbürste
reinigen. Reinigen Sie das Steigrohr qmit Hilfe der Steigrohr-Bürste 9.
Spülen Sie das gesamte Brühsystem nach dem Reinigen mit klarem Wasser
ab, damit keine Spülmittelrückstände haften bleiben.
Entkalken
Der Kalkgehalt (Härtegrad) im Wasser führt im Laufe der Benutzung zum
Verkalken des Gerätes. Der Kalk beeinträchtigt das Gerät in seiner Funktion,
vermindert die Qualität des Tees und erhöht zudem den Stromverbrauch.
HINWEIS
► Erkundigen Sie sich bei Ihrem Wasserversorger nach dem Härtegrad Ihres
Leitungswassers. Bei hohem Härtegrad ist die Entkalkung bereits eher not-
wendig, bei niedrigem Härtegrad später. Verwenden Sie ein Entkalkungs-
mittel für Haushaltsgeräte und beachten Sie die Gebrauchsanleitung.
1) Benutzen Sie einen handelsüblichen Haushaltsentkalker auf Zitronenbasis.
Beachten Sie die Hinweise auf der Verpackung des Entkalkers.
2) Setzen Sie das Brühsystem in die Kanne 3 ein.
3) Geben Sie die Entkalker-Lösung in die Kanne 3. Füllen Sie nie mehr Flüssigkeit
als bis zur MAX-Markierung und nie weniger als bis zur MIN-Markierung ein.
4) Warten Sie 10 Minuten und schalten Sie dann das Gerät ein.
5) Lassen Sie die Lösung aufkochen und warten Sie, bis sie durch das Brühsystem
gelaufen ist.

6) Sollte es erforderlich sein, wiederholen Sie den Vorgang noch einmal. Sie
können die Entkalker-Lösung noch einmal verwenden; lassen Sie sie jedoch
vorher abkühlen.
7) Wenn sich der Kalk gelöst hat, lassen Sie 2 - 3 Füllungen klares Wasser
aufkochen und durch das Brühsystem laufen.
8) Reinigen Sie danach die Kanne 3 und das Brühsystem wie im Kapitel
„Reinigen und Pflegen“ beschrieben.
Aufbewahrung
■ Wenn Sie das Gerät für längere Zeit nicht verwenden, wickeln Sie das Kabel
gegen den Uhrzeigersinn um die Kabelaufwicklung an der Unterseite des
Sockels 5 und führen Sie das Ende durch den Kabeldurchlass am Sockel 5.
■ Lagern Sie das Gerät an einem staubfreien und trockenen Ort.
Entsorgen
Werfen Sie das Gerät keinesfalls in den normalen Hausmüll. Dieses
Produkt unterliegt der europäischen Richtlinie 2012/19/EU-
WEEE (Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment).
Entsorgen Sie das Gerät über einen zugelassenen Entsorgungsbetrieb oder über
Ihre kommunale Entsorgungseinrichtung. Beachten Sie die aktuell geltenden
Vorschriften. Setzen Sie sich im Zweifelsfall mit Ihrer Entsorgungseinrichtung in
Verbindung.
Möglichkeiten zur Entsorgung des ausgedienten Produkts erfahren Sie bei Ihrer
Gemeinde- oder Stadtverwaltung.
Entsorgung der Verpackung
Die Verpackung schützt das Gerät vor Transportschäden. Die Verpackungs-
materialien sind nach umweltverträglichen und entsorgungstechnischen Gesichts-
punkten ausgewählt und deshalb recyclebar.
Die Rückführung der Verpackung in den Materialkreislauf spart Rohstoffe und
verringert das Abfallaufkommen. Entsorgen Sie nicht mehr benötigte Verpackungs-
materialien gemäß den örtlich geltenden Vorschriften.
Entsorgen Sie die Verpackung umweltgerecht.
Beachten Sie die Kennzeichnung auf den verschiedenen Verpackungsmaterialien
und trennen Sie diese gegebenenfalls gesondert. Die Verpackungsmaterialien
sind gekennzeichnet mit Abkürzungen (a) und Ziffern (b) mit folgender Bedeu-
tung:
1–7: Kunststoffe
20–22: Papier und Pappe
80–98: Verbundstoffe

Garantie der Kompernaß Handels GmbH
Sehr geehrte Kundin, sehr geehrter Kunde,
Sie erhalten auf dieses Gerät 3 Jahre Garantie ab Kaufdatum. Im Falle von
Mängeln dieses Produkts stehen Ihnen gegen den Verkäufer des Produkts gesetz-
liche Rechte zu. Diese gesetzlichen Rechte werden durch unsere im Folgenden
dargestellte Garantie nicht eingeschränkt.
Garantiebedingungen
Die Garantiefrist beginnt mit dem Kaufdatum. Bitte bewahren Sie den Original–
Kassenbon gut auf. Diese Unterlage wird als Nachweis für den Kauf benötigt.
Tritt innerhalb von drei Jahren ab dem Kaufdatum dieses Produkts ein Material-
oder Fabrikationsfehler auf, wird das Produkt von uns – nach unserer Wahl – für
Sie kostenlos repariert oder ersetzt. Diese Garantieleistung setzt voraus, dass
innerhalb der Drei-Jahres-Frist das defekte Gerät und der Kaufbeleg (Kassenbon)
vorgelegt und schriftlich kurz beschrieben wird, worin der Mangel besteht und
wann er aufgetreten ist.
Wenn der Defekt von unserer Garantie gedeckt ist, erhalten Sie das reparierte
oder ein neues Produkt zurück. Mit Reparatur oder Austausch des Produkts
beginnt kein neuer Garantiezeitraum.
Garantiezeit und gesetzliche Mängelansprüche
Die Garantiezeit wird durch die Gewährleistung nicht verlängert. Dies gilt auch
für ersetzte und reparierte Teile. Eventuell schon beim Kauf vorhandene Schäden
und Mängel müssen sofort nach dem Auspacken gemeldet werden. Nach Ablauf
der Garantiezeit anfallende Reparaturen sind kostenpflichtig.
Garantieumfang
Das Gerät wurde nach strengen Qualitätsrichtlinien sorgfältig produziert und vor
Auslieferung gewissenhaft geprüft.
Die Garantieleistung gilt für Material- oder Fabrikationsfehler. Diese Garantie
erstreckt sich nicht auf Produktteile, die normaler Abnutzung ausgesetzt sind und
daher als Verschleißteile angesehen werden können oder für Beschädigungen
an zerbrechlichen Teilen, z. B. Schalter, Akkus, Backformen oder Teile, die aus
Glas gefertigt sind.
Diese Garantie verfällt, wenn das Produkt beschädigt, nicht sachgemäß benutzt
oder gewartet wurde. Für eine sachgemäße Benutzung des Produkts sind alle
in der Bedienungsanleitung aufgeführten Anweisungen genau einzuhalten.
Verwendungszwecke und Handlungen, von denen in der Bedienungsanleitung
abgeraten oder vor denen gewarnt wird, sind unbedingt zu vermeiden.
Das Produkt ist nur für den privaten und nicht für den gewerblichen Gebrauch
bestimmt. Bei missbräuchlicher und unsachgemäßer Behandlung, Gewaltanwen-
dung und bei Eingriffen, die nicht von unserer autorisierten Service-Niederlassung
vorgenommen wurden, erlischt die Garantie.

Abwicklung im Garantiefall
Um eine schnelle Bearbeitung ihres Anliegens zu gewährleisten, folgen Sie bitte
den folgenden Hinweisen:
■ Bitte halten Sie für alle Anfragen den Kassenbon und die Artikelnummer (z. B.
IAN 12345) als Nachweis für den Kauf bereit.

contain important information about safety, usage and disposal. Before using the
product, please familiarise yourself with all operating and safety instructions. Use

This appliance is designed for brewing tea and keeping it warm. It is intended
exclusively for private domestic use; it is not designed for commercial or industrial

► Ensure that the base containing the electrical connections
never comes into contact with water! Allow the base to dry
completely if it accidentally becomes wet.
► Use the appliance only with the supplied base.
► Ensure that the power cable never becomes wet or damp
when the appliance is in use. Route the cable so that it
cannot be trapped or damaged in any way.
► Arrange for defective power plugs and/or cables to be
replaced as soon as possible by a qualified technician or by
our Customer Service Department to avoid the risk of injury.
► Always remove the plug from the mains power socket after
use. Switching the appliance off is not sufficient; it will
remain live for as long as the plug is connected to the
power socket.
► Do not allow any liquid to run over the appliance’s plug
connections.

Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
There is a risk of electric shock!

► Do not operate the appliance with the lid open, otherwise
the automatic switch-off cannot work. Boiling water could
then spray out over the rim.
► Bursts of hot steam may be released. The jug also becomes
extremely hot during use. It is therefore always best to wear
oven mitts when handling the jug.
► Ensure that the appliance is stable and vertical before
switching it on. Boiling water can cause the appliance to
fall over if it is not set up stably.
► Treat the jug with great care. Broken glass can cause cuts.
► Never fill it with more water than up to the MAX marking.
Otherwise, boiling water may splash out and cause scalds.
► Do not open the lid while the water is boiling.
► Appliances may be used by persons with reduced physi-
cal, sensory or mental capabilities, or a lack of experience
and/or knowledge only if they are supervised or have been
instructed how to use the appliance safely and have under-
stood the potential risks.
► This appliance may be used by children aged 8years or
over, if they are supervised or have been told how to use
the appliance safely and are aware of the potential risks.
► Cleaning and user maintenance tasks must not be carried
out by children unless they are aged 8 years or over and are
supervised.

► Never refill the appliance with cold water immediately after
boiling. It can lead to stresses in the glass and even break-
age.

Before first use
■ Remove all packaging materials from the appliance.
■ Rinse out all parts of the brewing system (brewing chamber 0, riser pipe
q, sieve w) and the jug 3 carefully (see section "Cleaning and care").
Before first use, proceed as follows:
1) Remove the jug 3 from the base 5.
2) Fill the jug 3 up to the MAX mark and add a teaspoon of lemon juice (or
lemon juice concentrate). If you have no lemon, you can add a teabag (or
a teaspoon of loose leaf tea) directly to the water.
3) Insert the brewing system into the jug 3.
4) Close the lid 1 and place the jug 3 on the base 5.
5) Switch the appliance on with the On/Off switch 8. The control lamp 4
and the On/Off switch 8 light up. Wait until the control lamp 4 goes off.
6) Switch off the appliance using the On/Off switch 8 and clean the appli-
ance as described in "Cleaning and care".
The tea maker is now ready for use.
Operation
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not add any sugar to the tea maker. Do not heat any milk or alcohol in
the tea maker. This will irreparably damage the appliance.
NOTE
► Green tea is not suitable for brewing in the tea maker. The ideal brewing
temperature for green tea is around 70°C. At higher brewing temperatures,
such as those used by the tea maker, tannins are released. This makes the
tea taste bitter.
1) Remove the jug 3 from the base 5.
2) Open the lid 1 and remove the brewing system. Place the brewing system
on a level system.
3) Add the required amount of water to the jug 3. Never fill water to more
than the MAX marking or less than the MIN marking.

► To prevent scalds and electric shocks, ensure that the water in the jug 3
never overflows.

4) Remove the brewing system and pull the riser pipe q with the sieve w
upwards.
5) Add the desired quantity of tea or teabags to the brewing chamber 0.
NOTE
► Ensure that no tags or bag threads remain in the device.
6) Replace the brewing system in the jug 3. Ensure that the riser pipe q fits
into the recess on the floor of the jug 3. The brewing chamber 0 must be
inserted with the flattened side towards the handle 2.
7) Close the lid 1.
8) Replace the jug 3 on the base 5.
9) Insert the mains plug into a mains power socket and set the On/Off switch 8
to the position "I". The control lamp 4 and the On/Off switch 8 light up.
The water is now boiled, pressed upwards through the riser pipe q and flows
through the brewing chamber 0 back into the jug 3.
After the water is boiled, the appliance switches to the keep-warm function. The
control lamp 4 goes out. Only the On/Off switch 8remains lit up. As soon as
the water cools down, the tea maker boils it again. The control lamp 4 lights up
again during the boiling process.
NOTE
► As the water is fed back through the brewing system when it is re-boiled,
remove the brewing system from the jug 3 after the first brew.
WARNING! RISK OF INJURY!
► The brewing system is very hot! There is a risk of burns! Use oven gloves
when you touch the brewing system.
NOTE
► The longer you keep the drink warm and the more liquid evaporates, the
stronger the drink will become. We therefore recommend drinking the tea
as quickly as possible after it is initially brewed.
■ You can interrupt the boiling process at any time. To do this, set the On/Off
switch 8 to the "0" position. The boiling process stops.
■ Once you remove the jug 3 from the base 5 the boiling process stops.
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Always allow the jug 3 to cool down before refilling it with cold water
for another brewing cycle. Otherwise, excessive tension in the glass could
cause the jug 3 to break.

Overheating protection
If the appliance overheats, the overheat protection automatically switches off the
heating element inside the appliance. The On/Off switch 8 remains lit, but the
appliance no longer heats up.
The overheating protection is activated if the appliance is switched on if the jug 3
contains no or not enough water.
If the overheating protection has switched the heating element off, please proceed
as follows:
■ Allow the appliance to cool down.
■ Press the reset button 6 on the bottom of the jug 3. The appliance can
now be used again.
Cleaning and care
DANGER! ELECTRIC SHOCK!
► Always remove the plug before cleaning the appliance. There is a risk of
electric shock! Allow the appliance to cool down. Risk of burns!
Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.
There is a risk of electric shock! The appliance may be irreparably
damaged.
To achieve the best tea-brewing result every time, the appliance should always
be cleaned after use. This prevents:
–the combination of limescale and tannins, caused by boiling water and
brewing tea, from affecting the functioning of the tea maker;
–the jug from taking on the flavour of particularly aromatic teas and af-
fecting other varieties of tea if the tea maker is used regularly.
■ Clean the jug 3 of the tea maker with a damp cloth. Add a little mild de-
tergent to the cloth to remove stubborn dirt. Rinse out the jug 3 afterwards
with plenty of clean water to remove any detergent residue. You can clean
the recess on the bottom of the jug 3 well with a washing up brush.
CAUTION! PROPERTY DAMAGE!
► Do not use abrasive, chemical or caustic cleaning agents. These can irrepa-
rably damage the appliance!
■ Clean the brewing system with hot water and washing-up liquid:
■ The brewing chamber 0 and the sieve w can be cleaned with a washing
up brush. Clean the riser pipe q using the riser pipe brush 9. Rinse the
entire brewing system after cleaning with clear water to ensure that no
detergent residues remain.

Descaling
The hardness of the water will lead to a scaling up of the appliance over time.
Limescale impairs the functionality of the appliance, reduces the quality of the
tea and increases energy consumption.
NOTE
► Ask your local water utility for information about the hardness of the water.
If your water is very hard, descaling is necessary sooner, with softer water
later. Use a descaler suitable for household device and follow the usage
instructions.
1) Use a standard commercial lemon-based descaler. Always follow the in-
structions on the packaging of the descaler.
2) Insert the brewing system into the jug 3.
3) Add the descaler solution to the jug 3. Never fill liquid to more than the
MAX marking and never less than the MIN marking.
4) Wait 10 minutes and then switch the appliance on.
5) Allow the solution to boil and then wait until it has run through the brewing
system.
6) If necessary, repeat the process. You can re-user the descaler solution but
you will have to allow it to cool down first.
7) Once the limescale has been loosened, boil clear water and run it through
the system. Repeat around 2–3 times.
8) Afterwards, clean the jug 3 and the brewing system as described in the
section "Cleaning and care".
Storage
■ If you are not going to use the appliance for an extended period, wind
the cable anticlockwise around the cable retainer on the underside of the
base 5 and guide the end through the cable outlet on the base 5.
■ Store the appliance in a dust-free and dry location.
Disposal
Do not dispose of the appliance in your normal domestic waste.
This product is subject to the European directive 2012/19/EU.
Dispose of the appliance via an approved waste disposal company or your
municipal waste disposal facility. Please comply with all applicable regulations.
Please contact your waste disposal facility if you are in any doubt.
Your local community or municipal authorities can provide information on how to
dispose of the worn-out product.

Disposal of packaging materials
The packaging protects the appliance from damage during transport.
The packaging materials have been selected for their environmental friendliness
and ease of disposal, and are therefore recyclable.
Returning the packaging into the material cycle conserves raw materials and
reduces the amount of waste generated. Dispose of packaging materials that
are no longer needed in accordance with applicable local regulations.
Dispose of the packaging in an environmentally-friendly manner.
Note the labelling on the packaging and separate the packaging material
components for disposal if necessary. The packaging material is labelled with
abbreviations (a) and numbers (b) with the following meanings:

Dear Customer,
This appliance has a 3-year warranty valid from the date of purchase. If this product
has any faults, you, the buyer, have certain statutory rights. Your statutory rights
are not restricted in any way by the warranty described below.
Warranty conditions
The validity period of the warranty starts from the date of purchase. Please keep
your original receipt in a safe place. This document will be required as proof of
purchase.
If any material or production fault occurs within three years of the date of purchase
of the product, we will either repair or replace the product for you at our discretion.
This warranty service is dependent on you presenting the defective appliance
and the proof of purchase (receipt) and a short written description of the fault
and its time of occurrence.
If the defect is covered by the warranty, your product will either be repaired or
replaced by us. The repair or replacement of a product does not signify the begin-
ning of a new warranty period.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not prolonged by repairs effected under the warranty.
This also applies to replaced and repaired components. Any damage and defects
present at the time of purchase must be reported immediately after unpacking.
Repairs carried out after expiry of the warranty period shall be subject to a fee.

Scope of the warranty
This appliance has been manufactured in accordance with strict quality guidelines
and inspected meticulously prior to delivery.
The warranty covers material faults or production faults. The warranty does not
extend to product parts subject to normal wear and tear or fragile parts such as
switches, batteries, baking moulds or parts made of glass.
The warranty does not apply if the product has been damaged, improperly used
or improperly maintained. The directions in the operating instructions for the product
regarding proper use of the product are to be strictly followed. Uses and actions
that are discouraged in the operating instructions or which are warned against
must be avoided.
This product is intended solely for private use and not for commercial purposes.
The warranty shall be deemed void in cases of misuse or improper handling, use
of force and modifications / repairs which have not been carried out by one of
our authorised Service centres.
Warranty claim procedure
To ensure quick processing of your case, please observe the following instructions:
■ Please have the till receipt and the item number (e.g. IAN 12345) available
as proof of purchase.
■ You will find the item number on the type plate, an engraving on the front

► Assurez-vous que le socle avec ses raccords électriques
n'entre jamais en contact avec l'eau! Laissez entièrement
sécher le socle s'il a été mouillé par inadvertance.

► Utilisez toujours l'appareil avec le couvercle fermé, sinon
le système de coupure automatique ne fonctionne pas. De
l'eau bouillante risque alors de déborder de la verseuse.
► Des vapeurs brûlantes peuvent se dégager. De plus, la
verseuse est brûlante pendant le fonctionnement. Portez
par conséquent des gants de cuisine.
► Assurez-vous que l'appareil est stable et à la verticale avant
de le mettre en marche. Lorsque l'eau commence à bouillir,
elle peut entraîner la chute de l'appareil s'il n'est pas installé
bien d'aplomb sur une surface plane.
► Manipulez la verseuse avec prudence. Le verre brisé peut
provoquer des blessures graves par coupure.
► Ne remplissez jamais plus d'eau que le repère MAX. Sinon
l'eau en ébullition risque d'éclabousser et d'ébouillanter.

► Après avoir fait bouillir de l'eau, ne versez jamais immédiate-
ment de l'eau froide dans l'appareil. Cela engendre dans le
verre des tensions qui peuvent le briser!

Avant la première utilisation
■ Retirez tous les matériaux d'emballage de l'appareil.
■ Rincez soigneusement toutes les pièces du système d'infusion (chambre d'in-
fusion 0, tube q, tamis w) et la verseuse 3 (voir le chapitre "Nettoyage
et entretien").
Avant la première utilisation, procédez comme suit :
1) Retirez la verseuse 3du socle 5.
2) Remplissez la verseuse 3 d'eau jusqu'au repère MAX, et ajoutez une cuillère
à café de jus de citron (ou de concentré de citron). Si vous n'avez pas de
citron sous la main, vous pouvez mettre directement dans l'eau un sachet
de thé (ou une cuillère à café de thé en vrac).
3) Mettez le système d'infusion dans la verseuse 3.
4) Refermez le couvercle 1 et posez la verseuse 3 sur son socle5.
5) Allumez l'appareil avec l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8. Le voyant de
contrôle 4 et l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 s'allument. Attendez jusqu'à
ce que le voyant de contrôle 4 s'éteigne.
6) Éteignez l'appareil avec l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 et nettoyez l'appa-
reil comme décrit au chapitre "Nettoyage et entretien".
La théière électrique est maintenant prête à utiliser.
Utilisation
ATTENTION! RISQUE DE DÉGÂTS MATÉRIELS!
► Ne versez pas de sucre dans la théière électrique. Ne faites pas chauffer
de lait ou d'alcool dans la théière électrique. Ceci risque d'endommager
l'appareil de manière irréversible.
REMARQUE
► Le thé vert ne peut être infusé dans cette théière électrique. La température
idéale d'infusion du thé vert est d'environ 70°C. Avec les températures

1) Retirez la verseuse 3du socle 5.
2) Ouvrez le couvercle 1 et sortez le système d'infusion. Déposez le système
d'infusion sur une surface plane.
3) Versez la quantité d'eau voulue dans la verseuse 3. Veillez à ce que le
niveau de l'eau ne dépasse jamais le niveau MAX et ne soit pas inférieur au
niveau MIN.

DANGER ! RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION!
► Veillez à ce que l'eau ne déborde pas de la verseuse 3 pour éviter des
brûlures et des chocs électriques.
4) Retirez le système d'infusion et tirez le tube q avec le tamis w vers le haut.
5) Dans la chambre d'infusion 0, mettez la quantité de thé ou le nombre de
sachets de thé voulu(e).
REMARQUE
► Veillez bien à ce qu'aucune étiquette ou fil de sachet ne reste dans l'appareil.
6) Remettez le système d'infusion dans la verseuse 3. Veillez à ce que le tube
q pénètre dans l'encoche au fond de la verseuse 3. La chambre d'infu-
sion 0 doit être utilisée avec le côté aplati orienté vers la poignée 2.
7) Fermez le couvercle 1.
8) Reposez la verseuse 3 sur le socle 5.
9) Branchez la fiche secteur dans une prise secteur et réglez l'interrupteur
Marche/Arrêt 8 sur la position "I". Le voyant de contrôle 4 ainsi que
l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 s'allument.
L'eau entre maintenant en ébullition, elle est poussée vers le haut par le tube q
et traverse la chambre d'infusion avant de redescendre 0 dans la verseuse 3.
Lorsque l'eau est arrivée à ébullition, l'appareil commute automatiquement sur
la fonction de maintien au chaud. Le voyant de contrôle 4 s'éteint ; seul l'inter-
rupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 reste allumé. Dès que l'eau refroidit, la théière la porte
à nouveau à ébullition. Le voyant de contrôle 4 s'allume pendant le réchauffe-
ment.
REMARQUE
► Dans la mesure où lors d'une nouvelle ébullition, l'eau est de nouveau diri-
gée à travers le système d'infusion, vous devriez sortir le système d'infusion
de la verseuse 3 après la première infusion.
AVERTISSEMENT! RISQUE DE BLESSURES!
► Le système d'infusion est brûlant ! Vous risquez de vous brûler ! Utilisez des
gants de cuisine lorsque vous touchez le système d'infusion.
REMARQUE
► Plus vous maintenez longtemps la boisson au chaud, plus du liquide s'éva-
pore et plus la boisson devient forte. Nous recommandons par conséquent
de boire le thé de préférence après la première infusion.

■ Vous pouvez interrompre la préparation à tout moment : pour ce faire,
ramenez l'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 en position "0". La préparation
est terminée.
■ Lorsque vous retirez la verseuse 3du socle 5, la préparation est interrompue.
ATTENTION! RISQUE DE DÉGÂTS MATÉRIELS!
► Laissez toujours la verseuse 3d'abord refroidir avant d'y verser de l'eau
froide pour l'infusion suivante ! Des tensions apparaissent sinon dans le
verre et la verseuse 3 peut se briser.
Protection anti-surchauffe
En cas de surchauffe, la protection anti-surchauffe éteint l'élément chauffant à
l'intérieur de l'appareil. L'interrupteur Marche/Arrêt 8 reste allumé, mais l'appa-
reil ne chauffe plus.
La protection anti-surchauffe est activée lorsqu'il n'y a plus d'eau dans la verseuse 3,
ou insuffisamment et que l'appareil se trouve malgré tout allumé.
Lorsque la protection anti-surchauffe éteint l'élément chauffant, veuillez procéder
comme suit :
■ Laissez l'appareil refroidir.
■ Appuyez sur la touche Reset 6 sur le fond de la verseuse 3. Vous pouvez
maintenant réutiliser l'appareil.
Nettoyage et entretien
DANGER! RISQUE D'ÉLECTROCUTION!
► Débranchez la fiche secteur avant le nettoyage. Vous encourez un risque
d'électrocution! Laissez l'appareil refroidir. Risque de brûlure!
N'immergez jamais l'appareil dans de l'eau ni dans d'autres liquides !
Vous encourez un risque d'électrocution! L'appareil risquerait d'être
endommagé de manière irréparable.
Afin d'obtenir un résultat optimal avec le thé lors de chaque infusion, l'appareil
doit être nettoyé avant chaque utilisation. Ceci permet d'éviter que :
–la combinaison de tartre et de tanins causée par l'ébullition de l'eau et
par la préparation du thé ne perturbe le fonctionnement de la théière
électrique;
–en cas d'utilisation régulière de la théière électrique, cette dernière ne
prenne pas dans certaines conditions l'arôme du thé fortement aromatisé
et le transmette à d'autres sortes de thé.

■ Nettoyez la verseuse 3 de la théière électrique avec un chiffon humide. En
présence de taches tenaces, appliquez un peu de produit vaisselle doux sur
le torchon. Ensuite, rincez la verseuse 3abondamment à l'eau claire afin
d'éliminer tous les résidus de liquide vaisselle. Une brosse à vaisselle permet
de bien nettoyer l'encoche au fond de la verseuse 3.
ATTENTION! RISQUE DE DÉGÂTS MATÉRIELS!
► N'utilisez pas de produits nettoyants abrasifs, chimiques ou corrosifs. Ils
peuvent en effet endommager l'appareil de manière irréparable!
■ Nettoyez le système d'infusion à l'eau chaude avec du liquide vaisselle :
■ Vous pouvez nettoyer la chambre d'infusion 0 et le tamis w avec une
brosse à vaisselle. Nettoyez le tube qavec l'écouvillon 9. Après le net-
toyage, rincez l'ensemble du système d'infusion à l'eau claire afin qu'il ne
reste plus de liquide vaisselle.
Détartrer
La teneur en calcaire de l'eau (sa dureté) provoque l'entartrage de l'appareil au
cours de son utilisation. Le tartre gêne le fonctionnement de l'appareil, réduit la
qualité du thé et accroît en plus la consommation électrique.
REMARQUE
► Renseignez-vous auprès de votre distributeur d'eau pour connaître la dureté
de votre eau du robinet. Si sa dureté est élevée, il faudra détartrer plus tôt,
et plus tard si sa dureté est plus réduite. Utilisez un produit détartrant pour
appareils ménagers et respectez la notice d'utilisation.
1) Utilisez un détartrant ménager du commerce à base de citron. Veuillez
respecter les consignes figurant sur l'emballage du produit détartrant.
2) Mettez le système d'infusion dans la verseuse 3.
3) Versez la solution détartrante dans la verseuse 3. Veillez à ce que le
niveau de liquide ne dépasse jamais le niveau MAX et ne soit pas inférieur
au niveau MIN.
4) Attendez 10 minutes puis allumez l'appareil.
5) Portez la solution à ébullition et attendez qu'elle ait traversé le système
d'infusion.
6) Si nécessaire, effectuez cette opération une seconde fois. Vous pouvez utiliser
la solution détartrante encore une fois ; attendez toutefois qu'elle ait refroidi.
7) Une fois que le tartre s'est détaché, faites bouillir l'équivalent de 2 à 3 ver-
seuses d'eau claire et faites passer ces quantités dans le système d'infusion.
8) Ensuite nettoyez la verseuse 3 et le système d'infusion comme décrit au
chapitre "Nettoyage et entretien".

Stockage
■ Si vous n'utilisez pas l'appareil pendant une période prolongée, enroulez le
cordon en sens inverse des aiguilles d'une montre autour de l'enroulement du
cordon sur le fond du socle 5 puis faites passer l'extrémité par l'orifice dans
le socle 5.
■ Conservez l'appareil dans un endroit sec et exempt de poussières.
Mise au rebut
Ne jetez en aucun cas l'appareil avec les ordures ménagères
normales. Ce produit est assujetti à la directive européenne
2012/19/EU-DEEE (déchets d'équipements électriques et
électroniques).
Éliminez l'appareil par l'intermédiaire d'une entreprise de traitement des déchets
autorisée ou via le service de recyclage de votre commune. Respectez la réglemen-
tation en vigueur. En cas de doute, veuillez contacter votre centre de re cyclage.
Renseignez-vous auprès de votre commune pour connaître les possibilités de mise
au rebut de votre appareil usagé.
Élimination de l’emballage
L’emballage protège l’appareil de tous dommages éventuels au cours du transport.
Les matériaux d’emballage ont été sélectionnés selon des critères de respect
de l’environnement et de recyclage permettant une élimination écologique de
ceux-ci.
Le recyclage de l’emballage en filière de revalorisation permet d’économiser des
matières premières et de réduire le volume de déchets. Veuillez éliminer les matériaux
d’emballage qui ne servent plus en respectant la réglementation locale.
Éliminez l‘emballage d‘une manière respectueuse de l‘environnement.

GEVAAR! ELEKTRISCHE SCHOK!
► Zorg ervoor dat de sokkel met de elektrische aansluitingen niet
in aanraking komt met water! Laat de sokkel eerst helemaal
drogen, mocht deze per ongeluk vochtig zijn geworden.
► Gebruik het apparaat alleen met de meegeleverde sokkel.
► Let erop dat het snoer nooit nat of vochtig wordt wanneer
het apparaat in bedrijf is. Leg het snoer zo neer, dat het niet
bekneld raakt of anderszins beschadigd kan raken.
► Laat beschadigde stekkers en snoeren onmiddellijk door een
erkend vakman of door de klantenservice vervangen, om
risico's te voorkomen.
► Haal na gebruik altijd de stekker uit het stopcontact. Alleen
uitschakelen is niet genoeg, omdat onderdelen in het appa-
raat onder spanning blijven staan zolang de stekker in het
stopcontact zit.
► Er mag geen vloeistof op de stekkerverbinding van het
apparaat komen.

Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of in andere
vloeistoffen! Er bestaat gevaar voor een elektrische schok!
WAARSCHUWING! LETSELGEVAAR!
► Gebruik het apparaat alleen met gesloten deksel, anders
werkt de automatische uitschakeling niet. Er kan dan kokend
water over de rand gutsen.
► Er kan hete stoom ontsnappen. Bovendien is de kan tijdens
het bedrijf erg heet. Draag daarom ovenwanten.
► Let erop dat het apparaat stabiel en rechtop staat alvorens
het in te schakelen. Kokend water kan een instabiel opge-
steld apparaat doen omvallen.
► Ga voorzichtig om met de kan. Gebroken glas kan ernstige
snijwonden veroorzaken.
► Vul het waterreservoir nooit tot boven de MAX-markering.
Anders kan er kokend water uit de waterkoker spatten en
brandwonden veroorzaken.
► Open het deksel niet terwijl het water kookt.
► Apparaten mogen worden gebruikt door personen met be-
perkte fysieke, zintuiglijke of geestelijke vermogens of gebrek
aan ervaring en/of kennis, mits ze onder toezicht staan of
over het veilige gebruik van het apparaat zijn geïnstrueerd
en de daaruit resulterende gevaren hebben begrepen.
► Dit apparaat mag worden gebruikt door kinderen vanaf
8 jaar, mits ze onder toezicht staan of over het veilige
gebruik van het apparaat zijn geïnstrueerd en de daaruit

► Reiniging en onderhoud door de gebruiker mogen niet wor-
den uitgevoerd door kinderen, tenzij ze 8jaar of ouder zijn

► Houd het apparaat en het bijbehorende snoer buiten bereik
van kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar.
► Kinderen mogen niet met het apparaat spelen.
► Bij kinderen is supervisie noodzakelijk om ervoor te zorgen
dat ze niet met het apparaat spelen.
► Gebruik geen externe timer of een aparte afstandsbediening
om het apparaat te bedienen.
► Na gebruik bevat het oppervlak van het verwarmingselement
nog restwarmte.
► Bij verkeerd gebruik bestaat er kans op letsel! Gebruik het
apparaat altijd in overeenstemming met de bestemming!
VOORZICHTIG: hete oppervlakken!
LET OP! MATERIËLE SCHADE!
► Giet na een kookcyclus nooit direct opnieuw koud water
in het apparaat. Dit kan namelijk spanningen in het glas
veroorzaken en het glas doen breken!

Vóór het eerste gebruik
■ Verwijder alle verpakkingsmateriaal van het apparaat.
■ Spoel alle delen van het kooksysteem (kookcompartiment 0, stijgbuis q,
zeef w) en de kan 3 zorgvuldig af (zie het hoofdstuk “Reiniging en onder-
houd”).
Voordat u het apparaat voor de eerste keer gebruikt, dient u het volgende te
doen:
1) Neem de kan 3 van de sokkel 5.
2) Vul de kan 3 met water tot aan de markering MAX en voeg een theelepel
citroensap (of citroenconcentraat) toe. Wanneer u geen citroen bij de hand
hebt, kunt u een theezakje (of een theelepel losse thee) direct in het water
doen.
3) Plaats het kooksysteem in de kan 3.
4) Sluit het deksel 1 en plaats de kan 3 op de sokkel 5.
5) Zet het apparaat aan met de aan-/uitknop 8. Het indicatielampje 4 en de
aan-/uitknop 8 beginnen te branden. Wacht totdat het indicatielampje 4
uitgaat.
6) Schakel het apparaat uit met de aan-/uitknop 8 en reinig het apparaat
zoals beschreven in “Reiniging en onderhoud”.
De theekoker is nu klaar voor gebruik.
Bediening
LET OP! MATERIËLE SCHADE!
► Doe geen suiker in de theekoker. Warm nooit melk of alcohol op in de
theekoker. Dat leidt tot onherstelbare schade aan het apparaat.
OPMERKING
► De theekoker is niet geschikt voor het bereiden van groene thee. Groene
thee heeft namelijk een ideale bereidingstemperatuur van 70 °C.
Bij hogere temperaturen, zoals die van de theekoker, komt er tannine vrij.
De thee smaakt dan bitter.
1) Neem de kan 3 van de sokkel 5.
2) Open het deksel 1 en neem het kooksysteem eruit. Leg het kooksysteem
op een egale ondergrond.
3) Giet de gewenste hoeveelheid water in de kan 3. Vul het waterreservoir
nooit boven de markering MAX en nooit onder de markering MIN.

► Zorg dat er geen water over de rand van de kan 3 loopt, om brandwonden
en elektrische schokken te voorkomen.
4) Pak het kooksysteem vast en trek de stijgbuis q met de zeef w omhoog.
5) Doe de gewenste hoeveelheid thee of een theezakje in het kookcomparti-
ment 0.
OPMERKING
► Let erop dat het etiket of het draadje van het theezakje niet in het apparaat
achterblijft.
6) Plaats het kooksysteem weer in de kan 3. Zorg ervoor dat de stijgbuis q
in de uitsparing op de bodem van de kan 3 zit. Plaats het kookcomparti-
ment 0 met de vlakke kant naar de handgreep 2 gericht.
7) Sluit het deksel 1.
8) Plaats de kan 3 weer op de sokkel 5.
9) Steek de stekker in een stopcontact en zet de aan-/uitknop 8 op stand “I”.
Het indicatielampje 4 en de aan-/uitknop 8 branden.
Het water wordt nu gekookt en wordt via de stijgbuis q naar boven gedrukt.
Daarna loopt het door het kookcompartiment 0 en terug in de kan 3.
Nadat het water is gekookt, wordt automatisch de warmhoudfunctie ingescha-
keld. Het indicatielampje 4 gaat uit en alleen de aan-/uitknop 8 blijft bran-
den. Wanneer het water afkoelt, begint de theekoker het water automatisch weer
op te warmen. Tijdens het koken brandt het indicatielampje 4.
OPMERKING
► Omdat ervoor te zorgen dat het water tijdens het heropwarmen niet
opnieuw door het kooksysteem stroomt, dient u na de eerste kookcyclus het
kooksysteem uit de kan 3 te nemen.
WAARSCHUWING! LETSELGEVAAR!
► Het kooksysteem is erg heet! Er bestaat gevaar voor brandwonden!
Gebruik pannenlappen wanneer u het kooksysteem vastpakt.
OPMERKING
► Hoe langer u de thee warmhoudt, hoe meer vloeistof er verdampt en hoe
sterker de thee wordt. Daarom raden we aan om de thee direct na de
eerste kookcyclus te drinken.

■ U kunt het kookproces op elk moment onderbreken. Zet daartoe de aan-/
uitknop 8 op de stand “0”. Het kookproces wordt stopgezet.
■ Wanneer u de kan 3 van de sokkel 5 neemt, wordt het kookproces onder-
broken.
LET OP! MATERIËLE SCHADE!
► Laat de kan 3 altijd eerst afkoelen voordat u er koud water in giet voor
een nieuwe kookcyclus! Anders kunnen er spanningen in het glas ontstaan
waardoor de kan 3 kan breken.
Oververhittingsbeveiliging
Bij oververhitting schakelt de oververhittingsbeveiliging het verwarmingselement
in het apparaat uit. De aan-/uitknop 8 blijft branden maar het apparaat ver-
warmt niet meer.
De oververhittingsbeveiliging wordt geactiveerd wanneer zich geen of niet vol-
doende water in de kan 3 bevindt en het apparaat toch wordt ingeschakeld.
Ga als volgt te werk als de oververhittingsbeveiliging het verwarmingselement
heeft uitgeschakeld:
■ Laat het apparaat afkoelen.
■ Druk op de reset-knop 6 op de onderkant van de kan 3. U kunt het appa-
raat nu opnieuw gebruiken.
Reiniging en onderhoud
GEVAAR! ELEKTRISCHE SCHOK!
► Haal vóór het schoonmaken de stekker uit het stopcontact. Er bestaat
gevaar voor een elektrische schok! Laat het apparaat afkoelen.
Verbrandingsgevaar!
Dompel het apparaat nooit onder in water of in andere vloeistoffen!
Er bestaat gevaar voor een elektrische schok! Het apparaat kan
onherstelbaar beschadigd raken.
Om altijd een optimaal resultaat te bereiken, moet het apparaat na elk gebruik
worden gereinigd. Hierdoor voorkomt u:
–dat de combinatie van kalk en looizuur, veroorzaakt door het koken
van water en de bereiding van thee, de werking van de theekoker
beïnvloedt;
–dat bij regelmatig gebruik de theekoker in bepaalde gevallen het aroma
van sterk aromatische thee aanneemt en aan andere theesoorten
afgeeft.

■ Reinig de kan 3 van de theekoker met een vochtige doek. Doe bij hardnekkig
vuil wat mild afwasmiddel op de doek. Spoel de kan 3 daarna met veel
schoon water af, zodat alle afwasmiddelresten zijn verwijderd. De uitsparing
in de bodem van de kan 3 kunt u reinigen met een afwasborstel.
LET OP! MATERIËLE SCHADE!
► Gebruik geen schurende, chemische of bijtende schoonmaakmiddelen.
Deze kunnen het apparaat onherstelbaar beschadigen!
■ Reinig het kooksysteem met warm water en een vloeibaar afwasmiddel:
■ Het kookcompartiment 0 en de zeef w kunt u met een afwasborstel reini-
gen. Reinig de stijgbuis q met behulp van de stijgbuisborstel 9. Spoel het
hele kooksysteem af met schoon water, zodat er geen afwasmiddelresten
achterblijven.
Ontkalken
Het kalkgehalte (de hardheid) van het water leidt mettertijd tot de verkalking
van het apparaat. De kalk tast de werking van het apparaat aan, vermindert de
kwaliteit van de thee en verhoogt het stroomverbruik.
OPMERKING
► Vraag bij uw waterbedrijf meer informatie over de hardheid van uw kraan-
water. Bij hard water is een ontkalkingsbeurt eerder nodig, bij zacht water
later. Gebruik een ontkalkingsmiddel voor huishoudelijke apparaten en
volg de gebruiksinstructies.
1) Gebruik een in de winkel verkrijgbaar ontkalkingsmiddel op basis van
citroen. Neem altijd de aanwijzingen op de verpakking van het ontkalkings-
middel in acht.
2) Plaats het kooksysteem in de kan 3.
3) Giet het ontkalkingsmiddel in de kan 3. Vul het waterreservoir nooit boven
de markering MAX en nooit onder de markering MIN.
4) Wacht 10 minuten en schakel dan het apparaat in.
5) Laat de oplossing koken en wacht tot het door het hele kooksysteem is
gelopen.
6) Herhaal de procedure zo nodig. U kunt hetzelfde ontkalkingsmiddel nog-
maals gebruiken. Laat het wel eerst afkoelen.
7) Wanneer de kalk is opgelost, vult u het systeem 2 of 3 keer met schoon
water en laat u het water telkens koken en door het kooksysteem lopen.
8) Reinig daarna de kan 3 en het kooksysteem zoals beschreven in het
hoofdstuk “Reiniging en onderhoud”.

Opbergen
■ Wanneer u het apparaat langere tijd niet gebruikt, wikkel het snoer dan
linksom rond de kabelspoel op de onderkant van de sokkel 5 en steek
het uiteinde door de kabelopening van de sokkel 5.
■ Berg het apparaat op een stofvrije en droge plaats op.
Afvoeren
Deponeer het apparaat in geen geval bij het gewone huisvuil. Dit
product is onderworpen aan de Europese richtlijn 2012/19/EU
AEEA (afgedankte elektrische en elektronische apparatuur).
Voer het apparaat af via een erkend afvalverwerkingsbedrijf of via uw gemeen-
telijke afvalverwerking. Neem de momenteel geldende voorschriften in acht.
Neem bij twijfel contact op met uw afvalverwerkingsinstantie.
Mogelijkheden voor het afvoeren van het afgedankte product vindt u bij uw
gemeente.
De verpakking afvoeren
De verpakking beschermt het apparaat tegen transportschade. De verpakkings-
materialen zijn niet schadelijk voor het milieu. Ze zijn gekozen op grond van
milieuvriendelijkheid en daarom recyclebaar.
Het terugvoeren van de verpakking in de materiaalkringloop betekent een
besparing op grondstoffen en zorgt voor minder afval. Voer niet meer benodigde
verpakkingsmaterialen af conform de plaatselijk geldende voorschriften.
Voer de verpakking af conform de milieuvoorschriften.
Let op de aanduiding op de verschillende verpakkingsmaterialen en voer ze zo
nodig gescheiden af. De verpakkingsmaterialen zijn voorzien van afkortingen (a)
en cijfers (b) met de volgende betekenis:

20–22: papier en karton
80–98: composietmaterialen

Geachte klant,
U hebt op dit apparaat 3 jaar garantie vanaf de aankoopdatum. In geval van
ge breken in dit product hebt u wettelijke rechten tegenover de verkoper van het
product. Deze wettelijke rechten worden door onze hierna beschreven garantie
niet beperkt.
Garantievoorwaarden
De garantieperiode geldt vanaf de datum van aankoop. Bewaar de originele
kassabon. U hebt de bon nodig als bewijs van aankoop.
Als er binnen drie jaar vanaf de aankoopdatum van dit product een materiaal- of
fabricagefout optreedt, wordt het product door ons – naar onze keuze – voor u
kosteloos gerepareerd of vervangen. Voorwaarde voor deze garantie is dat bin-
nen de termijn van drie jaar het defecte apparaat en het aankoopbewijs (kassa-
bon) worden overlegd en dat kort wordt omschreven waaruit het gebrek bestaat
en wanneer het is opgetreden.
Wanneer het defect door onze garantie wordt gedekt, krijgt u het gerepareerde
product of een nieuw product retour. Met de reparatie of vervanging van het
product begint er geen nieuwe garantieperiode.
Garantieperiode en wettelijke aanspraken bij gebreken
De garantieperiode wordt door deze waarborg niet verlengd. Dat geldt ook voor
vervangen en gerepareerde onderdelen. Eventueel al bij aankoop aanwezige
schade en gebreken moeten meteen na het uitpakken worden gemeld. Voor repa-
raties na afloop van de garantieperiode worden kosten in rekening gebracht.
Garantieomvang
Het apparaat is op basis van strenge kwaliteitsnormen met de grootst mogelijke
zorg vervaardigd en voorafgaand aan de levering nauwkeurig gecontroleerd.
De garantie geldt voor materiaal- of fabricagefouten. Deze garantie geldt niet voor
productonderdelen die blootstaan aan normale slijtage en derhalve als aan
slijtage onderhevige onderdelen kunnen worden aangemerkt, of voor bescha-
digingen aan breekbare onderdelen, bijv. schakelaars, accu’s, bakvormen of
onderdelen die van glas zijn gemaakt.
Deze garantie vervalt wanneer het product is beschadigd, ondeskundig is ge-
bruikt of is gerepareerd. Voor deskundig gebruik van het product moeten alle
in de gebruiksaanwijzing beschreven aanwijzingen precies worden opgevolgd.
Gebruiksdoeleinden en handelingen die in de gebruiksaanwijzing worden afge-
raden of waarvoor wordt gewaarschuwd, moeten beslist worden vermeden.
Het product is uitsluitend bestemd voor privégebruik en niet voor bedrijfsmatige
doeleinden. Bij verkeerd gebruik en ondeskundige behandeling, bij gebruik van
geweld en bij reparaties die niet door ons erkend servicefiliaal zijn uitgevoerd,
vervalt de garantie.

Afhandeling bij een garantiekwestie
Voor een snelle afhandeling van uw aanvraag neemt u de volgende aanwijzingen

■ Houd voor alle aanvragen de kassabon en het artikelnummer (bijv. IAN
12345) als aankoopbewijs bij de hand.
■ Het artikelnummer vindt u op het typeplaatje, in het product gegraveerd, op
de titelpagina van de gebruiksaanwijzing (linksonder) of als sticker op de

NEBEZPEČÍ ZÁSAHU ELEKTRICKÝM PROUDEM!
► Zajistěte, aby podstavec selektrickými přípojkami nikdy
nepřišel do styku svodou! Pokud je přesto podstavec vlhký,
nechte jej nejprve úplně vyschnout.
► Přístroj používejte jen s podstavcem, který je součástí výrobku.
► Dbejte na to, aby síťový kabel během provozu nikdy nebyl
mokrý ani vlhký. Veďte jej tak, aby nemohlo dojít kjeho
přiskřípnutí nebo jinému poškození.
► Poškozené zástrčky nebo poškozený síťový kabel nechte
ihned vyměnit autorizovaným odborným personálem nebo
zákaznickým servisem, abyste tím zabránili nebezpečí.

Přístroj nikdy neponořujte do vody nebo jiných kapalin!

► Provozujte přístroj vždy jen při uzavřeném víku, jinak nebude
fungovat automatické vypínání. Vroucí voda pak může stříkat
přes okraj.
► Může dojít kúniku horké páry. Konvice je mimoto za provo-
zu velice horká. Používejte proto kuchyňské chňapky.
► Dříve než přístroj zapnete, ujistěte se, zda je stojí stabilně
a ve vertikální poloze. Pokud je přístroj nestabilní, mohla by
vroucí voda způsobit, že dojde kjeho převrácení.
► Manipulujte skonvicí opatrně. Rozbité sklo může způsobit
vážná řezná poranění.
► Nikdy nenalévejte více vody než po značku MAX. Vopačném
případě může vařící voda vystřikovat a způsobit opaření.
► Neotvírejte víko během varu vody.
► Osoby somezenými fyzickými, smyslovými nebo mentální-
mi schopnostmi či nedostatkem zkušeností a/nebo znalostí
mohou používat přístroj pouze tehdy, pokud jsou pod do-

Před prvním použitím
■ Odstraňte z přístroje všechny obalové materiály.
■ Všechny části spařovacího systému (spařovací komora 0, varná trubka q,
sítko w a konvice 3) pečlivě opláchněte (viz kapitola „Čištění a údržba“).
Před prvním použitím postupujte takto:
1) Konvici 3 sejměte z podstavce 5.
2) Naplňte konvici 3 vodou až po značku MAX, přidejte čajovou lžičku
citrónové šťávy (nebo koncentrátu citrónové šťávy). Pokud nemáte po ruce
citrón, můžete čajový sáček (nebo čajovou lžičku sypaného čaje) dát přímo
do vody.
3) Spařovací systém vložte do konvice 3.
4) Uzavřete víko 1a postavte konvici 3 na podstavec 5.
5) Přístroj zapněte stisknutím vypínače 8. Kontrolka 4 a vypínač 8se roz-
svítí. Vyčkejte, dokud kontrolka 4 nezhasne.
6) Přístroj vypněte pomocí vypínače 8 a vyčistěte tak, jak je popsáno vkapi-
tole „Čištění a údržba“.
Varná konvice na čaj je nyní připravena k použití.
Obsluha
POZOR! VĚCNÉ ŠKODY!
► Do varné konvice na čaj nedávejte cukr. Ve varné konvici na čaj neohřívejte
mléko ani alkohol. Vedlo by to knevratnému poškození přístroje.
UPOZORNĚNÍ
► Zelený čaj není vhodný k vaření ve varné konvici na čaj. Ideální teplota
spaření zeleného čaje je cca 70 °C. Při vyšších teplotách spaření, které
vznikají ve varné konvici na čaj, se uvolňují třísloviny. Čaj má hořkou chuť.
1) Konvici 3 sejměte z podstavce 5.
2) Otevřete víko 1 a vyjměte spařovací systém. Postavte spařovací systém na
rovnou plochu.
3) Nalijte do konvice 3 požadované množství vody. Nikdy nenalévejte více
vody než po značku MAX a nikdy méně než po značku MIN.
NEBEZPEČÍ! ÚRAZ ELEKTRICKÝM PROUDEM!
► Dávejte pozor, aby voda z konvice 3 nepřetékala, aby nedošlo k popále-
ninám a úrazům elektrickým proudem.

4) Uchopte spařovací systém a vysuňte varnou trubku q se sítkem w směrem
nahoru.
5) Do spařovací komory 0 dejte požadované množství čaje nebo čajový
sáček.
UPOZORNĚNÍ
► Dbejte na to, aby v přístroji nezůstaly žádné etikety ani nitky z čajových
sáčků.
6) Spařovací systém opět vložte do konvice 3. Dbejte na to, aby varná trubka
q zasahovala do vyhloubení na dně konvice 3. Spařovací komora 0
musí být nasazena zploštělou stranou k rukojeti 2.
7) Zavřete víko 1.
8) Konvici 3 opět postavte na podstavec 5.
9) Zastrčte síťovou zástrčku do síťové zásuvky a nastavte vypínač 8 do polohy
„I“. Kontrolka 4 a vypínač 8svítí.
Voda se nyní vaří, varnou trubkou q je tlačena směrem nahoru a protéká spařo-
vací komorou 0 zpět do konvice 3.
Přístroj se po uvaření vody automaticky přepne na funkci udržování teploty. Kon-
trolka 4 zhasne a svítí už jen vypínač 8. Jakmile voda vychladne, varná konvi-
ce na čaj vodu znovu uvede do varu. Během vaření se opět rozsvítí kontrolka 4.
UPOZORNĚNÍ
► Jelikož voda při opětovném vaření znovu protéká spařovacím systémem, po
prvním spaření byste měli spařovací systém z konvice 3 vyjmout.
VÝSTRAHA! NEBEZPEČÍ ZRANĚNÍ!
► Spařovací systém je velmi horký! Hrozí nebezpečí popálení! Při kontaktu se
spařovacím systémem používejte chňapky!
UPOZORNĚNÍ
► Čím déle udržujete nápoj teplý, tím více tekutiny se odpaří a tím silnější je
nápoj. Doporučujeme tedy čaj vypít pokud možno po prvním spaření.
■ Vaření můžete kdykoliv přerušit: K tomu účelu přepněte vypínač 8 do polo-
hy „0“. Vaření se ukončí.
■ Vaření se přeruší sejmutím konvice 3z podstavce 5.
POZOR! VĚCNÉ ŠKODY!
► Konvici 3vždy nechte nejprve vychladnout a až poté nalijte studenou
vodu pro další spaření! V opačném případě může dojít k pnutí ve skle a
konvice 3 může prasknout.

Ochrana proti přehřátí
V případě přehřátí vypne ochrana proti přehřátí topný článek uvnitř přístroje.
Vypínač 8 svítí dále, ale přístroj již nezahřívá.
Ochrana proti přehřátí se aktivuje, pokud v konvici 3 není voda nebo pouze
nedostatečné množství vody, a přístroj je přesto zapnutý.
Pokud byl topný článek vypnut funkcí ochrany proti přehřátí, postupujte prosím
takto:
■ Nechte přístroj vychladnout.
■ Stiskněte tlačítko Reset 6 na spodní straně konvice 3. Nyní lze přístroj
znovu používat.
Čištění a údržba
NEBEZPEČÍ! ÚRAZ ELEKTRICKÝM PROUDEM!
► Před čištěním vytáhněte zástrčku ze zásuvky. Hrozí nebezpečí úrazu elek-
trickým proudem! Nechte přístroj vychladnout. Nebezpečí popálení!
Přístroj nikdy neponořujte do vody nebo jiných kapalin!
Hrozí nebezpečí úrazu elektrickým proudem! Může dojít knevratnému
poškození přístroje.
K dosažení optimálního výsledku při každém spařování čaje přístroj po každém
použití vyčistěte. Tím se zabrání, že:
–kombinace vodního kamene a tříslovin, vzniklých vařením vody a přípra-
vou čaje, omezí funkci varné konvice na čaj;
–při pravidelném používání varné konvice na čaj se za určitých okolností
pojme aroma silně aromatického čaje a může se přenést do jiných čajů.
■ Konvici 3 na vaření čaje očistěte vlhkou utěrkou. Na těžce odstranitelné
nečistoty použijte jemný čisticí prostředek nanesený na hadřík. Konvici 3
poté vypláchněte velkým množstvím čisté vody, aby se odstranily všechny
zbytky mycího prostředku. Vyhloubení na dně konvice 3lze dobře vyčistit
čisticím kartáčem.
POZOR! VĚCNÉ ŠKODY!
► Nepoužívejte abrazivní, chemické ani leptavé čisticí prostředky. Ty by
mohly přístroj nenávratně poškodit!
■ Spařovací systém čistěte teplou vodou a tekutým mycím prostředkem:
■ Spařovací komoru 0 a sítko w lze čistit čisticím kartáčem. Varnou trubku q
vyčistěte pomocí kartáče na varnou trubku 9. Celý spařovací systém po
vyčištění opláchněte čistou vodou, aby nedošlo k ulpění zbytků mycích
prostředků.

Odvápnění
Obsah vápna (stupeň tvrdosti) ve vodě vede během používání k usazování vod-
ního kamene v přístroji. Vodní kámen omezuje funkci přístroje, snižuje kvalitu čaje
a také zvyšuje spotřebu elektrické energie.
UPOZORNĚNÍ
► Informace o tvrdosti Vaší vody z vodovodu Vám sdělí dodavatel vody. Je-li
stupeň tvrdosti vysoký, je odstranění vodního kamene nutné již dříve, při níz-
kém stupni tvrdosti vody pak později. Používejte prostředek na odstranění
vodního kamene pro domácí spotřebiče a dodržujte návod k použití.
1) Používejte obvyklý domácí prostředek na odstranění vodního kamene na
bázi citronu. Dodržujte pokyny uvedené na obalu prostředku na odstranění
vodního kamene.
2) Spařovací systém vložte do konvice 3.
3) Do konvice 3 přidejte roztok s prostředkem na odstranění vodního kame-
ne.
Nikdy nenalévejte více kapaliny než po značku MAX a nikdy méně než po
značku MIN.
4) Počkejte 10 minut a poté přístroj zapněte.
5) Nechte roztok uvést do varu a počkejte, až proteče spařovacím systémem.
6) V případě potřeby opakujte postup ještě jednou. Roztok s prostředkem na

7) Když se vodní kámen uvolnil, nechte svařit 2–3 náplně čisté vody a nechte
vodu protéct spařovacím systémem.
8) Konvici 3 poté vyčistěte tak, jak je popsáno vkapitole „Čištění a údržba“.
Skladování
■ Pokud přístroj nepoužíváte delší dobu, naviňte kabel proti směru hodinových
ručiček na navíjení kabelu na spodní straně podstavce 5 a konec kabelu
provlečte prostupem na kabel na podstavci 5.
■ Přístroj skladujte na bezprašném a suchém místě.

Likvidace
Vžádném případě nevyhazujte přístroj do normálního domovního
odpadu.

Záruční podmínky
Záruční doba začíná plynout dnem nákupu. Dobře uschovejte originál pokladní-
ho lístku. Tento doklad je potřebný jako důkaz o koupi.
Pokud do tří let od data zakoupení tohoto výrobku dojde k vadě materiálu nebo
vý robní závadě, pak Vám podle našeho uvážení výrobek zdarma opravíme nebo
vyměníme. Předpokladem této záruky je, že bude během tříleté lhůty předložen

Záruční doba a zákonné nároky vyplývající ze závad
Záručním plněním se záruční doba neprodlužuje. To platí ipro vyměněné a
opravené součásti. Poškození nebo vady vyskytující se případně již při nákupu
se musí oznámit ihned po vybalení. Po uplynutí záruční doby podléhají veškeré
opravy zpoplatnění.
Rozsah záruky
Přístroj byl vyroben pečlivě podle přísných směrnic kvality a před expedicí byl
svědomitě vyzkoušen.
Záruka se vztahuje na materiálové nebo výrobní vady. Tato záruka se nevztahuje
na součásti produktu, které jsou vystaveny normálnímu opotřebení, a proto je lze
považovat za opotřebovatelné díly nebo za poškození křehkých součástí jako jsou
např. spínače, akumulátory, formy na pečení nebo části, které jsou vyrobeny ze skla.
Tato záruka zaniká, pokud je výrobek poškozen, nebyl řádně používán nebo
udržován. Pro zajištění správného používání výrobku se musí přesně dodržovat
všechny pokyny uvedené v návodu kobsluze. Účelům použití a úkonům, které se

¡PELIGRO DE DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
► Asegúrese de que la base con conexiones eléctricas no
entre nunca en contacto con agua. Si la base se humedece
por accidente, deje que se seque por completo.
► Utilice el aparato exclusivamente con la base suministrada.
► Asegúrese de que el cable de red no se moje ni se hume-
dezca durante el funcionamiento. Tienda el cable de modo
que no pueda aplastarse ni dañarse.
► Si el enchufe o el cable de red están dañados, encomiende

► Ponga en funcionamiento el aparato exclusivamente con la
tapa cerrada; de lo contrario, el mecanismo de desconexión
automática no funcionaría y el agua en ebullición podría
rebosar por el borde.
► Es posible que se genere vapor caliente. La tetera también
se calienta mucho durante el funcionamiento. Por este moti-
vo, utilice guantes de cocina para utilizar el aparato.
► Asegúrese de que el aparato esté colocado de forma esta-
ble y en vertical antes de encenderlo. El agua en ebullición
podría volcar el aparato si este está colocado sin estabilidad.
► Manipule la tetera con cuidado. Si el vidrio se rompe,

► Tras finalizar el proceso de cocción, no rellene nunca el
aparato con agua fría inmediatamente después. De lo
contrario, podrían formarse puntos de tensión en el vidrio y

Antes del primer uso
■ Retire todos los materiales de embalaje del aparato.
■ Limpie cuidadosamente todas las piezas del sistema de cocción (cámara de
cocción 0, tubo ascendente q y filtro w), así como la tetera 3 (consulte
el capítulo "Limpieza y mantenimiento").
Antes del primer uso, proceda de la siguiente manera:
1) Retire la tetera 3de la base 5.
2) Llene la tetera 3 de agua hasta la marca MAX y añada una cucharadita
de zumo de limón (o concentrado de limón). Si no tiene limones a mano,
puede añadir una bolsa de té (o una cucharada de té suelto) directamente
en el agua.
3) Coloque el sistema de cocción en la tetera 3.
4) Cierre la tapa 1y coloque la tetera 3 sobre la base 5.
5) Encienda el aparato con el interruptor de encendido/apagado 8. Tras
esto, el piloto de control 4 y el interruptor de encendido/apagado 8
se encienden. Espere a que el piloto de control 4 se apague.
6) Apague el aparato por medio del interruptor de encendido/apagado 8 y
límpielo de la manera descrita en el capítulo "Limpieza y mantenimiento".
Con esto, la tetera estará lista para el funcionamiento.
Manejo
¡ATENCIÓN! ¡DAÑOS MATERIALES!
► No añada nunca azúcar a la tetera. No caliente nunca leche o alcohol en
la tetera. De lo contrario, podría dañarse el aparato de forma irreparable.
INDICACIÓN
► El té verde no es apto para su preparación en la tetera. La temperatura
ideal para preparar un té verde es de unos 70°C, por lo que las altas
temperaturas de cocción que se generan en la tetera liberarían taninos
que amargarían el té.
1) Retire la tetera 3de la base 5.
2) Abra la tapa 1 y retire el sistema de cocción. Coloque el sistema de coc-
ción sobre una superficie plana.
3) Llene la tetera 3 con la cantidad de agua deseada. Al rellenar la tetera,
el agua no debe superar nunca la marca MAX, pero debe superar siempre
la marca MIN.

► Asegúrese de que no rebose agua de la tetera 3 para evitar quemaduras
y descargas eléctricas.
4) Agarre el sistema de cocción y tire del tubo ascendente q con el filtro w
hacia arriba.
5) Añada la cantidad de té deseada o coloque la bolsa de té en la cámara
de cocción 0.
INDICACIÓN
► Asegúrese de que no quede ninguna etiqueta o hilo de la bolsa de té en
el aparato.
6) Vuelva a colocar el sistema de cocción en la tetera 3. Asegúrese de que
el tubo ascendente q encaje en el alojamiento del fondo de la tetera 3.
La cámara de cocción 0 debe colocarse con el lado plano orientado
hacia el asa 2.
7) Cierre la tapa 1.
8) Vuelva a colocar la tetera 3sobre la base 5.
9) Conecte el enchufe a la red eléctrica y ajuste el interruptor de encendido/
apagado 8 en la posición "I". Tras esto, el piloto de control 4 y el inte-
rruptor de encendido/apagado 8 se iluminan.
A continuación, el agua hierve y, por la presión, sube por el tubo ascendente q
para después volver a fluir hacia abajo a través de la cámara de cocción 0
hasta llegar a la tetera 3.
Una vez el agua está hirviendo, el aparato cambia automáticamente a la fun-
ción de mantenimiento del calor. Tras esto, el piloto de control 4 se apaga y
solo permanece encendido el interruptor de encendido/apagado 8. En cuanto
el agua se enfría, la tetera eléctrica vuelve a hervirla. El piloto de control 4
vuelve a iluminarse durante el proceso de cocción.
INDICACIÓN
► Como, tras volver a hervir, el agua vuelve a conducirse a través del sistema
de cocción, debe extraerse el sistema de cocción de la tetera 3 tras el
primer proceso de cocción.
¡ADVERTENCIA! ¡PELIGRO DE LESIONES!
► ¡El sistema de cocción se calienta mucho! ¡Existe peligro de quemaduras!
Utilice guantes de cocina para tocar el sistema de cocción.

INDICACIÓN
► Cuanto más tiempo se mantenga el té caliente y más líquido se evapore,
más fuerte será el té. Por este motivo, siempre que sea posible, recomenda-
mos beber el té una vez finalizado el primer proceso de cocción.
■ Puede interrumpirse el proceso de cocción en cualquier momento: para ello,
ajuste el interruptor de encendido/apagado 8 en la posición "0". Con
esto, se finaliza el proceso de cocción.
■ Si retira la tetera 3de la base 5, se interrumpe el proceso de cocción.
¡ATENCIÓN! ¡DAÑOS MATERIALES!
► ¡Deje siempre que la tetera 3se enfríe antes de llenarla con agua fría
para preparar más té! De lo contrario, se formarán puntos de tensión en el
vidrio que podrían romper la tetera 3.
Protección contra el sobrecalentamiento
Si se produce un sobrecalentamiento, la protección contra el sobrecalentamiento
desconecta el elemento térmico del interior del aparato. Pese a que el interruptor
de encendido/apagado 8 continúa encendido, el aparato deja de calentarse.
La protección contra el sobrecalentamiento se activa si no hay agua o si la
cantidad de agua de la tetera 3 es insuficiente aunque el aparato continúe
encendido.
Si la protección contra el sobrecalentamiento desconecta el elemento térmico,
proceda de la siguiente manera:
■ Deje que el aparato se enfríe.
■ Pulse el botón Reset 6 de la parte inferior de la tetera 3. Tras esto, podrá
volver a utilizarse el aparato.
Limpieza y mantenimiento
¡PELIGRO! ¡DESCARGA ELÉCTRICA!
► Antes de proceder a la limpieza, desconecte el enchufe de la red eléctrica.
¡Existe peligro de descarga eléctrica! Deje que el aparato se enfríe.
¡Peligro de quemaduras!
No sumerja nunca el aparato en agua ni en otros líquidos.
¡Existe peligro de descarga eléctrica! De lo contrario, podría dañarse
de forma irreparable.

Para lograr un té excelente con cada proceso de cocción, debe limpiarse el
aparato después de cada uso. Con esto, se evita lo siguiente:
–Errores de funcionamiento de la tetera eléctrica por la combinación de cal
y de taninos causada por la cocción del agua y la preparación del té.
–Posible transferencia de sabores de tés más aromáticos a otras varieda-
des de té si se utiliza regularmente la tetera eléctrica.
■ Limpie la tetera 3 con un paño húmedo. En caso de suciedad incrustada,
añada al paño un poco de jabón lavavajillas suave. A continuación, enjuague
la tetera 3con abundante agua limpia para eliminar cualquier resto de
jabón lavavajillas. La ranura del fondo de la tetera 3puede limpiarse bien
con un cepillo.
¡ATENCIÓN! ¡DAÑOS MATERIALES!
► No utilice productos de limpieza abrasivos, químicos ni corrosivos, ya que
podrían dañar irreparablemente el aparato.
■ Limpie el sistema de cocción con agua caliente y un poco de jabón lavava-
jillas líquido:
■ La cámara de cocción 0 y el filtro w pueden limpiarse con un cepillo.
Limpie el para después volver qcon el cepillo 9 previsto para ello. Tras
la limpieza, enjuague todo el sistema de cocción con agua limpia para
eliminar los restos de jabón lavavajillas que pudieran quedar adheridos.
Descalcificación
Con el uso, el contenido de cal (grado de dureza) del agua provoca la
calcificación del aparato. La cal impide el buen funcionamiento del aparato,
afecta a la calidad del té y aumenta, además, el consumo eléctrico.
INDICACIÓN
► Solicite información sobre el grado de dureza del agua a su proveedor
local. Si el grado de dureza es elevado, será necesario descalcificar antes
que si el grado de dureza es bajo. Utilice un producto de descalcificación
de electrodomésticos y observe lo dispuesto en las instrucciones de uso.
1) Utilice un producto de descalcificación de uso doméstico con base de limón.
Observe las indicaciones del envase del producto.
2) Coloque el sistema de cocción en la tetera 3.
3) Añada la solución de descalcificación en la tetera 3. Al rellenar la tetera,
el líquido no debe superar nunca la marca MAX, pero debe superar siempre
la marca MIN.
4) Espere 10 minutos y encienda el aparato.
5) Deje que hierva la solución y espere a que atraviese el sistema de cocción.
6) En caso necesario, repita el procedimiento. Podrá utilizar una vez más la
solución de descalcificación, pero primero deje que se enfríe.

7) Cuando se haya eliminado la cal, repita el proceso de cocción con agua
limpia 2 o 3 veces para aclarar el sistema de cocción.
8) A continuación, limpie la tetera 3 y el sistema de cocción de la manera
descrita en el capítulo "Limpieza y mantenimiento".
Almacenamiento
■ Si no pretende utilizar el aparato durante un periodo prolongado de tiempo,
enrolle el cable en sentido antihorario en el enrollacables situado en la
parte inferior de la base 5 e introduzca el extremo por el paso de cable
de la base 5.
■ Guarde el aparato en un lugar seco y sin polvo.
Desecho
No deseche nunca el aparato con la basura doméstica.
Este aparato está sujeto a la Directiva europea 2012/19/EU.
Deseche el aparato en un centro de residuos autorizado o a través de las
instalaciones municipales de desecho de residuos. Observe las normas vigentes.
En caso de duda, póngase en contacto con las instalaciones municipales de
desecho de residuos.
Puede informarse acerca de las posibilidades de desecho de los aparatos usa-
dos en su administración municipal o ayuntamiento.
Desecho del embalaje
El embalaje protege el aparato durante el transporte. El material de embalaje

Este aparato cuenta con una garantía de 3 años a partir de la fecha de compra.
Si se detectan defectos en el producto, puede ejercer sus derechos legales frente
al vendedor. Estos derechos legales no se ven limitados por la garantía descrita
a continuación.
Condiciones de la garantía
El plazo de la garantía comienza con la fecha de compra. Guarde bien el com-
probante de caja original, ya que lo necesitará como justificante de compra.
Si dentro de un periodo de tres años a partir de la fecha de compra de este pro-
ducto se detecta un defecto en su material o un error de fabricación, asumiremos
la reparación o sustitución gratuita del producto a nuestra elección. La prestación
de la garantía requiere la presentación del aparato defectuoso y del comprobante
de caja, así como una breve descripción por escrito del defecto detectado y de
las circunstancias en las que se haya producido dicho defecto, dentro del plazo
de tres años.
Si el defecto está cubierto por nuestra garantía, le devolveremos el producto repa-
rado o le suministraremos uno nuevo. La reparación o sustitución del producto no
supone el inicio de un nuevo periodo de garantía.
Duración de la garantía y reclamaciones legales por vicios
La duración de la garantía no se prolonga por hacer uso de ella. Este principio
también se aplica a las piezas sustituidas y reparadas. Si después de la compra
del aparato, se detecta la existencia de daños o de defectos al desembalarlo,
deben notificarse de inmediato. Cualquier reparación que se realice una vez
finalizado el plazo de garantía estará sujeta a costes.
Alcance de la garantía

calidad y se ha examinado en profundidad antes de su entrega.
La prestación de la garantía solo rige para defectos en los materiales o errores
de fabricación. Esta garantía no cubre las piezas del producto normalmente
sometidas al desgaste y que, en consecuencia, puedan considerarse piezas de
desgaste ni los daños producidos en los componentes frágiles, p. ej., interruptores,
baterías, moldes de horno o piezas de vidrio.
Se anulará la garantía si el producto se daña o no se utiliza o mantiene correctamente.
Para utilizar correctamente el producto, deben observarse todas las indicaciones

Antes de utilizar o produto, familiarize-se com todas as instruções de operação
e segurança. Utilize o produto apenas como descrito e nas áreas de aplicação
indicadas. Guarde bem este manual de instruções. Ao transferir o produto para

PERIGO! CHOQUE ELÉTRICO!
► Certifique-se de que a base, com as ligações elétricas,
nunca entra em contacto com água! Deixe a base secar
totalmente, caso tenha ficado húmida acidentalmente.
► Utilize o aparelho apenas com a base fornecida.
► Certifique-se de que, durante o funcionamento, o cabo de
alimentação nunca fica molhado ou húmido. Coloque o
cabo de modo que não possa ficar entalado nem ser
danificado.
► Cabos ou fichas danificados devem ser imediatamente
substituídos por técnicos autorizados ou pelo Serviço de
Apoio ao Cliente, de modo a evitar situações de perigo.
► Após a utilização, retire sempre a ficha da tomada. Não
é suficiente desligar o aparelho, uma vez que ainda existe
tensão de alimentação no aparelho enquanto a ficha se
encontra encaixada na tomada.

► Não podem transbordar líquidos para a ligação de encaixe
do aparelho.
Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou noutros líquidos!
Perigo de choque elétrico!
AVISO! PERIGO DE FERIMENTOS!
► Utilize o aparelho sempre com a tampa fechada, caso con-
trário o dispositivo de desativação automática não funciona.
A água a ferver pode transbordar.
► Pode ser libertado vapor quente. Além disso, o bule fica
muito quente durante o funcionamento. Por esta razão, use
luvas de cozinha.
► Antes de ligar o aparelho, certifique-se de que este se
encontra numa posição estável e na vertical. Se o aparelho
não assentar corretamente, a água a ferver pode fazê-lo
cair.
► Manuseie o bule com cuidado. Vidro partido pode causar
lesões por corte.
► Nunca introduza água acima da marcação MAX. Caso
contrário, a água a ferver pode salpicar para fora do
aparelho.
► Não abra a tampa enquanto a água está a ferver.
► Os aparelhos podem ser utilizados por pessoas com capa-
cidades físicas, sensoriais ou mentais reduzidas, bem como
com falta de experiência e/ou conhecimento, caso sejam
vigiadas ou instruídas sobre a utilização segura do apare-
lho e tenham compreendido os perigos daí resultantes.

superiores a 8anos, caso sejam vigiadas ou instruídas
sobre a utilização segura do aparelho e tenham compreen-

► A limpeza e a manutenção por parte do utilizador não
podem ser efetuadas por crianças, salvo se tiverem idade
igual ou superior a 8 anos e forem vigiadas.
► O aparelho e o respetivo cabo de ligação devem ser manti-
dos afastados de crianças com idades inferiores a 8 anos.
► As crianças não podem brincar com o aparelho.
► As crianças devem ser vigiadas para garantir que não
brincam com o aparelho.
► Não utilize um temporizador externo ou um sistema de
controlo remoto em separado para operar o aparelho.
► Após a utilização, a superfície do elemento de aquecimento
ainda dispõe de aquecimento residual.
► Em caso de utilização incorreta, podem ocorrer ferimentos!
Utilize o aparelho sempre para a finalidade descrita!

► Depois de ter fervido água, não introduza logo novamente
água fria no aparelho. É possível que se formem tensões
no vidro e este pode partir-se!

Antes da primeira utilização
■ Remova todos os materiais de embalagem do aparelho.
■ Lave cuidadosamente todas as peças do sistema de infusão (câmara de
infusão 0, tubo vertical q, filtro w) e bule 3 (ver capítulo "Limpeza e
conservação").
Antes da primeira utilização, proceda da seguinte forma:
1) Retire o bule 3da base 5.
2) Encha o bule 3 até à marcação MAX com água, adicione uma colher de
chá de sumo de limão (ou concentrado de limão). Se não tiver limão, pode
colocar uma saqueta de chá (ou uma colher de chá de folhas) diretamente
na água.
3) Introduza o sistema de infusão no bule 3.
4) Feche a tampa 1e coloque o bule 3 na base 5.
5) Ligue o aparelho no interruptor Ligar/desligar 8. A luz de controlo 4 e
o interruptor Ligar/desligar 8acendem-se. Aguarde até que a luz de
controlo 4 se apague.
6) Desligue o aparelho no interruptor Ligar/desligar 8 e limpe-o, conforme
descrito no capítulo "Limpeza e conservação".
A chaleira está pronta a funcionar.
Operação
ATENÇÃO! DANOS MATERIAIS!
► Nunca introduza açúcar na chaleira. Não aqueça leite nem álcool na
chaleira. Caso contrário, ocorrerão danos irreparáveis no aparelho.
NOTA
► O chá verde não é adequado para a preparação na chaleira. A tempe-
ratura ideal para o chá verde é de aprox. 70°C. Com temperaturas mais
elevadas, como a chaleira produz, são libertados taninos. O chá fica com
um sabor amargo.
1) Retire o bule 3da base 5.
2) Abra a tampa 1 e retire o sistema de infusão. Coloque o sistema de infu-
são sobre uma superfície plana.
3) Encha a quantidade de água desejada no bule 3. Nunca coloque mais
água do que a marcação MAX e nunca menos do que a marcação MIN.

PERIGO! CHOQUE ELÉTRICO!
► Certifique-se de que a água não transborda do bule 3, para evitar quei-
maduras e choques elétricos.
4) Remova o sistema de infusão e levante o tubo vertical q com o filtro w.
5) Introduza a quantidade de chá desejada ou uma saqueta na câmara de
infusão 0.
NOTA
► Certifique-se de que a etiqueta ou o fio da saqueta não ficam dentro do
aparelho.
6) Introduza novamente o sistema de infusão no bule 3. Verifique se o tubo
vertical q encaixa no entalhe no fundo do bule 3. A câmara de infusão
0 tem de ser colocada com a parte achatada virada para a pega 2.
7) Feche a tampa 1.
8) Coloque novamente o bule 3na base 5.
9) Introduza a ficha elétrica numa tomada e coloque o interruptor Ligar/
desligar 8 na posição "I". A luz de controlo 4, bem como o interruptor
Ligar/desligar 8 acendem-se.
A água é fervida, pressionada para cima através do tubo vertical q e escorrega
pela câmara de infusão 0 novamente para o bule 3.
Depois de a água estar fervida, o aparelho liga automaticamente a função de
manter quente. A luz de controlo 4 desliga-se e apenas o interruptor Ligar/
desligar 8emite uma luz constante. Assim que a água arrefece, a chaleira
volta a ferver a água. A luz de controlo 4 acende-se novamente durante o
processo de fervura.
NOTA
► Visto que a água, depois de ferver, volta a passar pelo sistema de infusão,
deve retirar o sistema de infusão do bule 3 após o primeiro processo de
infusão.
AVISO! PERIGO DE FERIMENTOS!
► O sistema de infusão está muito quente! Perigo de queimaduras!
Utilize luvas de cozinha para tocar no sistema de infusão.
NOTA
► Quanto mais tempo mantiver a bebida quente e mais líquido se evaporar,
mais forte se tornará a bebida. Aconselhamos, por isso, que o chá seja
bebido após a primeira infusão.

■ Pode interromper o processo de fervura em qualquer altura: Para tal, colo-
que o interruptor Ligar/desligar 8 na posição "0". O processo de fervura
é terminado.
■ Quando retira o bule 3da base 5, o processo de fervura é interrompido.
ATENÇÃO! DANOS MATERIAIS!
► Deixe arrefecer sempre primeiro o bule 3, antes de encher água fria para
um novo processo de infusão! Caso contrário ocorrem tensões no vidro e o
bule 3 pode partir-se.
Proteção contra sobreaquecimento
Em caso de sobreaquecimento, a proteção contra sobreaquecimento desliga o
elemento de aquecimento no interior do aparelho. O interruptor Ligar/desligar
8 continua aceso, mas o aparelho já não aquece.
A proteção contra sobreaquecimento é ativada, caso não exista água no bule
3 ou a água seja insuficiente e o aparelho esteja, mesmo assim, ligado.
Se a função contra o sobreaquecimento desligar o elemento de aquecimento,
proceda do seguinte modo:
■ Deixe o aparelho arrefecer.
■ Prima a tecla Reset 6 na parte inferior do bule 3. O aparelho pode então
voltar a ser utilizado.
Limpeza e conservação
PERIGO! CHOQUE ELÉTRICO!
► Antes da limpeza, retire a ficha da tomada. Perigo de choque elétrico!
Deixe o aparelho arrefecer. Perigo de queimaduras!
Nunca mergulhe o aparelho em água ou noutros líquidos!
Perigo de choque elétrico! O aparelho pode sofrer danos irreparáveis.
Para que cada processo de infusão obtenha um resultado de chá ideal, o apare-
lho deve ser limpo após cada utilização. Deste modo, evita-se que:
–a combinação de calcário e taninos, originada pela fervura da água e
a preparação do chá, afete o funcionamento da chaleira;
–em caso de utilização regular, a chaleira possa ficar com um aroma de
chá aromático forte e passar para outras variedades de chá.
■ Limpe o bule 3 da chaleira com um pano húmido. Em caso de sujidade
entranhada, aplique um detergente da loiça suave no pano. Depois passe
bem o bule 3por água limpa, de forma a eliminar todos os resíduos de
detergente. Pode limpar facilmente o entalhe no fundo do bule 3com uma
escova de lavagem.

ATENÇÃO! DANOS MATERIAIS!
► Não utilize produtos de limpeza abrasivos, químicos ou corrosivos.
Estes podem danificar o aparelho irreparavelmente!
■ Lave o sistema de infusão com água quente e um detergente para a loiça
líquido:
■ Pode limpar a câmara de infusão 0 e o filtro w com uma escova de lava-
gem. Lave o tubo vertical qcom a ajuda da escova do tubo vertical 9.
Depois da lavagem, passe o sistema de infusão por água limpa, para elimi-
nar todos os resíduos de detergente.
Descalcificação
O teor de calcário (grau de dureza) na água provoca uma calcificação pro-
gressiva do aparelho ao longo da sua utilização. O calcário prejudica o fun-
cionamento do aparelho, reduz a qualidade do chá e aumenta, além disso, o
consumo de energia.
NOTA
► Informe-se sobre o grau de dureza da sua água canalizada junto da
empresa que lhe fornece a água. Se a água tiver um elevado grau de
dureza, a descalcificação deverá ser realizada mais cedo, se o grau de
dureza for baixo a descalcificação deverá ser realizada mais tarde. Utilize
um descalcificador para eletrodomésticos e siga o manual de instruções.
1) Utilize um descalcificador convencional à base de limão. Tenha em aten-
ção as indicações na embalagem do descalcificador.
2) Introduza o sistema de infusão no bule 3.
3) Introduza a solução descalcificante no bule 3. Nunca coloque uma quan-
tidade de líquido que ultrapasse a marcação MAX ou que não atinja a
marcação MIN.
4) Espere 10 minutos e ligue depois o aparelho.
5) Deixe a solução ferver e espere até que ela tenha passado pelo sistema de
infusão.
6) Em caso de necessidade, repita o processo mais uma vez. Pode utilizar
a solução descalcificante mais uma vez, no entanto, deixe-a arrefecer
primeiro.
7) Quando o calcário se tiver solto, deixe ferver água limpa e passar pelo
sistema de infusão 2 - 3 vezes.
8) Limpe depois o bule 3 e o sistema de infusão, conforme descrito no capítulo
"Limpeza e conservação".

Armazenamento
■ Se não utilizar o aparelho durante muito tempo, enrole o cabo, no sentido
contrário ao dos ponteiros do relógio, à volta do dispositivo de enrolamento
do cabo na parte inferior da base 5 e introduza a extremidade na passa-
gem de cabos na base 5.
■ Guarde o aparelho num local seco e sem pó.
Eliminação
Nunca deposite o aparelho no lixo doméstico comum.
Este produto está sujeito à Diretiva Europeia 2012/19/EU REEE
(Resíduos de Equipamentos Elétricos e Eletrónicos).
Entregue o aparelho num Ponto Eletrão autorizado ou num Centro de Receção
de REEE do seu município. Respeite os regulamentos atualmente em vigor.
Em caso de dúvida, entre em contacto com o Centro de Receção de REEE.
Relativamente às possibilidades de eliminação do produto em fim de vida,
informe-se na junta de freguesia ou câmara municipal da sua área de residência.
Eliminação da embalagem
A embalagem protege o aparelho contra danos durante o transporte. Os mate-
riais de embalagem são selecionados tendo em conta os aspetos ambientais e
técnicos relativamente à eliminação, sendo, por isso, recicláveis.
A reciclagem da embalagem permite a poupança de matérias-primas e reduz a
formação de lixo. Elimine os materiais de embalagem que já não são necessá-
rios de acordo com os regulamentos locais em vigor.
Elimine a embalagem de modo ecológico.
Tenha em atenção a marcação nos diversos materiais de embalagem e
separe-os convenientemente. Os materiais de embalagem estão identificados
com abreviaturas (a) e algarismos (b), com os seguintes significados:
1–7: plásticos,
20–22: papel e cartão,
80–98: compostos

Condições de garantia
O prazo de garantia tem início na data da compra. Por favor, guarde bem o talão
de compra original. Este documento é necessário como comprovativo da compra.
Se dentro de três anos a partir da data de compra deste produto, ocorrer um
defeito de material ou fabrico, o produto será reparado ou substituído por nós –
consoante a nossa preferência – gratuitamente. Esta garantia parte do princípio

Prazo de garantia e direitos legais

A garantia abrange apenas defeitos de material ou de fabrico. Esta garantia não
abrange peças do produto, que estão sujeitas ao desgaste normal e podem ser
consideradas desta forma peças de desgaste, ou danos em peças frágeis, p. ex.
interruptores, acumuladores, formas para bolos ou peças de vidro.
Esta garantia perde a validade, se o produto for danificado, utilizado incorreta-
mente ou se a manutenção tenha sido realizada indevidamente. Para garantir
uma utilização correta do produto, é necessário cumprir todas as instruções contidas
no manual de instruções. Ações ou fins de utilização que são desaconselhados,
