OpenScape UC Application V3 Personal Edition, Installation and User Guide 51
3.13.3 Settings for the Main Line
Select Advanced - SIP Service Provider - Main line to define the parameters
for the OpenScape UC Application V3 main line.
Enter the unique OpenScape UC Application V3 call number/user address in
the User field.
Enter the long name in the Display field. The text is displayed by the free or
integrated phone when idle and is also transferred as name information to
your connection partners. This text is also used as a description of the primary
line in the Lines window or in the Lines menu.
The Tooltip text appears when the mouse pointer is moved close to the main
connection line in the Lines window.
Enter your Login here. If configured on the server, enter the Login and the
Realm. This information is required for registration at the server.
An Immediate connection can be configured here for the main line. The
Address stored is selected after the Delay (sec.) set on line activation (for
example, on lifting the handset). If the delay = 0, this immediate connection is
set up without delay.
If you select the option Private usage, you declare the line private, that is, if
you use this line, other stations with a secondary line do not receive any
status change messages on your call number/user address.
Note: The necessary details can be obtained from the OpenScape Desktop
Client administrator or the administrator of the communication system.
3.13.4 Settings for Additional Lines
Your connections are conducted over lines in OpenScape UC Application V3.
Every user has at least one separate line that is individually assigned and used
only by that specific user (main line). If supported by the communication system
connection, SIP users can use additional configured lines or share them with
other SIP users. The choice of lines available is defined in the communication
system connected. The other lines (apart from the main line) that are configured
for the user in OpenScape UC Application V3 are specified under Advanced -
SIP Service Provider - Additional lines.
Previously configured additional lines are displayed in the list. You can add
additional lines, change settings or delete lines.
To configure additional lines, click Add.
Enter the call number/user address of the SIP user under User.
