Verbinding met de Router/Access Point controleren
Nadat u het netwerk op de PC heeft geïnstalleerd, kunt u controleren of de PC correct
met de Router/Access Point is verbonden. Ga hiervoor als volgt te werk:
ì Open de Opdrachtprompt. Klik op Start – Programma’s – Accessoires –Opdracht-
prompt.
ì Voer de opdracht ping 192.168.2.1 in.
De opdracht ping stuurt gegevenspakketten naar de Router/Access Point met het aan-
gegeven IP-adres en controleert of het toestel antwoordt. Als dit het geval is, geeft de
opdracht statistische informatie over de verbinding, bijvoorbeeld hoeveel gegevenspak-
ketten werden verstuurd, hoeveel daarvan werden ontvangen, hoeveel tijd voor de
overdracht nodig was enz. Wanneer u deze informatie ontvangt, is de verbinding met
de router in orde.
Geeft de opdracht geen statistische gegevens, maar sluit hij na enige tijd af met een
time-out, dan betekent dit, dat de apparaten elkaar niet hebben herkend. Controleer de
volgende punten:
1. Is de Ethernet-kabel tussen de Router/Access Point en de PC correct aangesloten of
is er een verbinding via een draadloze netwerkadapter?
De LED’s voor de LAN-aansluitingen op de Router/Access Point en de indicatie voor
de verbinding met de netwerkkaart in uw PC moeten branden. Voor draadloze ver-
bindingen moet de Gigaset WLAN Adapter Monitor informatie over de verbinding
weergeven.
2. Is TCP/IP op uw PC correct geconfigureerd?
Als de Router/Access Point het IP-adres 192.168.2.1 heeft, moet het IP-adres van de
PC tussen 192.168.2.2 en 192.168.2.255 liggen. De standaardgateway moet het
adres 192.168.2.1 hebben.
Als het lukt de Router/Access Point met de opdracht ping te benaderen, is de PC correct
geconfigureerd.
Let op:
Als het IP-adres van de router/access point al gewijzigd is, voert u het desbetref-
fende IP-adres in.
