VoIP
Voice over Internet Protocol
Telefonate werden nicht mehr über das
Telefonnetz, sondern über das Inter-
net (bzw. andere IP-Netze) aufgebaut
und übermittelt.
VoIP-Provider
Ein VoIP-, SIP- oder Gateway-Provider
ist ein Anbieter im Internet, der ein
Gateway für Internet-Telefonie zur
Verfügung stellt. Da das Telefon mit
dem SIP-Standard arbeitet, muss Ihr
Provider den SIP-Standard unterstüt-
zen.
Der Provider leitet Gespräche von VoIP
ins Telefonnetz (analog, ISDN und
Mobilfunk) weiter und umgekehrt.
Vollduplex
Modus bei der Datenübertragung, bei
dem gleichzeitig gesendet und emp-
fangen werden kann.

Wide Area Network
Weitverkehrsnetz, das räumlich nicht
