All'inizio della cottura si consiglia di posizionare la
manopola sulla posizione massima e, a seconda della
quantità e della qualità degli alimenti, passare poi ad
una posizione intermedia di mantenimento. Approfittando
dell'inerzia termica della piastra, la si può spegnere un
po' prima di terminare la cottura, per risparmiare energia,
visto che la cottura continuerà per effetto del calore
accumulato.
Usare recipienti dal fondo perfettamente piatto, spesso
e di dimensioni simili all'elemento riscaldante, mai di
dimensioni inferiori.
Evitare il versamento di liquidi sulla superficie della
piastra, né appoggiarvi recipienti bagnati.
