Modus bij de gegevensoverdracht waarbij tegelijkertijd gegevens kunnen worden ver-
zonden en ontvangen.
Dynamisch IP-adres
Een dynamisch IP-adres wordt via DHCP automatisch toegewezen aan een netwerkcom-
ponent. Het dynamische IP-adres van een netwerkcomponent kan telkens bij het aan-
melden of na bepaalde tijdsintervallen worden gewijzigd.

DynDNS
Dynamic DNS
De toewijzing van domeinnamen en IP-adressen wordt gerealiseerd via DNS. Voor
Dynamisch IP-adressen wordt deze service aangevuld door het zogeheten Dynamic
DNS (DynDNS). Hierdoor is het gebruik van een netwerkcomponent met dynamisch IP-
adres als Server op Internet mogelijk. DynDNS zorgt ervoor dat een service op Domein-
naam onafhankelijk van het huidige IP-adres altijd onder dezelfde domeinnaam kan
worden benaderd.

Gesprekspartner A belt gesprekspartner B. Deze zet de verbinding in de wachtstand en
belt gesprekspartner C. In plaats van de drie gesprekspartners samen te brengen in een
conferentie, verbindt A nu gesprekspartner B door met C en hangt op.
