Transporting Your Scooter
All the scooters in this manual have the ability to be easily transported by
following the same basic steps to disassemble then reassemble.
1. Always ensure your scooter is turned OFF on the steering column.
2. Remove your basket by pulling it up gently.
3. Remove your seat by folding the back down and gently pulling up on the
seat lever. When the seat lever is up, pull straight up firmly but slowly and
the seat will lift off. (As indicated in figure #1)
4. Remove the battery pack for the QT3/QT4 by pulling up and forward on the
battery pack handle to release the Velcro tabs holding the battery pack in
place. We suggest you place your free hand on the seat post to help support
you and make the task easier. (As indicated in figure #2) To remove the
battery pack from the GK9/GK10 lift left battery pack then lift the right
battery pack (As indicated in Figure#2A)
5. To split the scooter use the red or yellow release lever to release the motor
section and lift up to separate. (As indicated in figure #3)
6. Fold the front tiller down onto the QT3 , QT4 & GK9 scooters after turning
the tiller knob anti clockwise until the small teeth disengage. (As indicated
in figure #4) The GK10 has a red tiller lever disengage by moving the red
lever to disengage the pin.(refer figure #4A)
7. Lay the tiller down and engage the tiller lock at the front of the scooter to
stop the tiller moving in transit. (Always remember to disengage the tiller
lock before using your scooter again. (As indicated in figure #5)
8. The scooter is now ready to be placed in the car.
9. Once the Scooter has been placed in the car the basket and battery pack can
be placed loosely around the main components.(Refer figure #6 & 6A)
10. To reassemble the scooter action steps 1 to 9 in the reverse order.
