• Folder and file names are displayed up to 11 characters.
Characters except “A~Z”, “0~9”, “ - ” may be not displayed.
The playback order of folders and files shown in the
menu may differ from the order shown in a PC.
This unit supports multi-session discs. Some
multi-session discs may take a long time to load and
some may not be loaded at all.
Notes for making a private disc.
Use “UDF format” as the disc format for
DVD-R/DVD-RW, DVD+R/DVD+RW.
• Use “ISO 9660” as the disc format for CD-R/CD-RW.
• Folders can be up to eight levels deep.
Some disc may not play due to disc characteristics,
recording conditions, etc.
MP3
• MP3 files must have a “.mp3” or “.MP3” file name extension.
It is recommended that you record your material at a
44.1kHz sampling rate, using the 128 kbps data transfer rate.
Fixed bit-rate files are recommended. Variable
bit-rate(VBR) files are playable, but playing time may be
displayed incorrectly.
• ID3 Tag is not available.
• MP3i and MP3 Pro are not available.
JPEG
• JPEG files must have a “.jpg”, “.JPG”, “.jpeg” or “.JPEG”
file name extension.
It is recommended that you record your material at a
720X480 pixel resolution.
This unit cannot play a baseline JPEG file of more than
6000X4500 pixels and a progressive JPEG file of more
than 5120X3840 pixels.
WMA
WMA files must have a “.wma” or “.WMA” file name
extension.
It is recommended that you record your material at a bit
rate of 64 kbps or higher.
• WMA Tag is not available.
This unit cannot play copyright protected files and files
recorded with a bit rate under 32kbps.
When saving files onto media
Ensure that the session is closed or finalized when data
has been written on media. There are cases where media
on which the session has not be closed or finalized will
not be played back correctly with this equipment.
There are cases where the folder names and file
names will not be displayed correctly depending on the
software used to save them.
Do not store files or folders other than MP3, WMA or
JPEG on media to be played back with this equipment.
It is recommended that ten or less sessions are stored
when recording MP3 files onto a media.
In case of a multisession disc, some time may be
required until playback begins.
There are cases where playback is not possible when
MP3/WMA/JPEG files (CD-ROM) and music CD
information (CD-DA) are saved on the same media.

MP3/WMA/JPEG/DivX Compatibility
This DVD Player supports Video CDs equipped with the
PBC(Version 2.0) function (PBC is the abbreviation for
Playback Control).
You can enjoy two playback variations depending on the
type of disc.
Video CD not equipped with PBC function
(Version 1.1)
Sound and movies can be played on this DVD Player
in the same way as an audio CD.
Video CD equipped with PBC function (Version 2.0)
In addition to operation of a VIDEO CD not equipped
with the PBC function, you can enjoy playback with
interactive software and search function using the
menu displayed on the TV screen (Menu Playback).
Some of the functions described in this Instruction
Manual may not work with some discs.
