El purifi cador de aire capta el aire de la habitación desde la entrada de aire, lleva el
aire a través de un fi ltro previo, un fi ltro desodorante y un fi ltro HEPA en el interior de
la unidad, y luego descarga el aire a través de la salida de aire. El fi ltro HEPA puede
eliminar el 99,97 % de las partículas de polvo que atraviesan el fi ltro, de un tamaño
mínimo de 0,3 micras, y también ayuda a absorber los olores.
El fi ltro desodorante absorbe gradualmente los olores cuando pasan por el fi ltro.
Algunos olores absorbidos por los filtros se pueden descomponer con el tiempo,
dando lugar a otro olor. Dependiendo del entorno de uso, en particular cuando el
producto se utiliza en entornos extremos (con un uso mucho más exigente que el
uso doméstico normal), este olor puede volverse más fuerte en menos tiempo de lo
previsto. Si el olor persiste, se deberían cambiar los fi ltros.
• El purifi cador de aire se ha diseñado para eliminar el polvo en suspensión en el aire y los olores,
pero no los gases perjudiciales (por ejemplo, el monóxido de carbono que contiene el humo de los
cigarrillos). Si el origen del olor sigue existiendo, es posible que el purifi cador de aire no elimine
completamente el olor.
