B Misfeed in the fusing area
1. Lower the fusing unit release lever.

2. Gently remove the misfed paper from
under the fusing unit as shown in the
illustration.
The fusing unit is hot. Do not touch
the fusing unit when removing mis-
fed paper.
Do not touch the surface of the drum
(green portion) of the drum cartridge
when removing the misfed paper.
Do not remove the misfed paper
from above the fusing unit. Unfixed
toner on the paper may stain the
paper transport area, resulting in
smudges on copies.
3. Raise the fusing unit release lever
and then close the side cover by
pressing the round projections near
the side cover open button.
B Papierstau im Fixierbereich
1. Den Verriegelungshebel der Fixier-
einheit senken.
2. Das gestaute Papier vorsichtig von der
Unterseite der Fixiereinheit her entfer-
nen, wie in der Abbildung gezeigt.
Der Fixierbereich ist heiß. Die Fixier-
einheit bei Beseitigung eines Pa-
pierstaus nicht berühren. Andern-
falls können Verbrennungen oder
andere Verletzungen auftreten.
Die Trommeloberfläche (grüner Teil)
der Trommeleinheit darf bei der Be-
seitigung des Papierstaus nicht be-
rührt werden.
Das gestaute Papier nicht von der
Oberseite der Fixiereinheit her ent-
fernen. Unfixierter Toner auf dem
Papier könnte den Papiertransport-
bereich verschmutzen und zu un-
sauberen Kopien führen.
3. Den Verriegelungshebel der Fixier-
einheit anheben und die Seitenab-
deckung durch Drücken der runden
Fortsätze neben der Verriegelungs-
taste der Seitenabdeckung schließen.
