5. Gently install the TD cartridge. To
install the TD cartridge, see page 1-7,
INSTALLING THE TD CARTRIDGE.
6. Close the front cover and then the
side cover by pressing the round pro-
jections near the side cover open but-
ton. The drum replacement required
(
w
) indicator will go out and the
ready (
) indicator will light up.
When closing the covers, be sure
to close the front cover securely
and then close the side cover. If the
covers are closed in the wrong or-
der, the covers may be damaged.
Drum cartridge life
To find out how many more copies can
be made before the 18,000 maximum is
reached, follow the procedure described
below.
1. Press and hold down the light (
{
)
and dark (
}
) keys simultaneously
for more than 5 seconds until all the
alarm indicators (
w
,
t
,
s
) blink
and “– –” appears in the display.
2. Press and hold down the clear (
>
)
key for more than 5 seconds to find
out how many more copies can be
made.
Example: 500 copies can be made
before the next drum cartridge re-
placement.

kung schließen. Die Anzeige für das
Auswechseln der Trommeleinheit (

erlischt, und die Bereitschaftsanzeige

) leuchtet auf.
Beim Schließen der Abdeckungen
sollte zuerst die Frontabdeckung
und anschließend die Seitenabdek-
kung sicher geschlossen werden.
Durch Schließen der Abdeckungen
in der falschen Reihenfolge können
sie beschädigt werden.
Lebensdauer der Trommeleinheit
Um zu prüfen, wie viele Kopien vor Errei-
chen der 18000-Marke noch erstellt wer-
den können, folgendermaßen vorgehen:
1. Die Tasten Hell (
{
) und Dunkel (
}
)
gleichzeitig länger als 5 Sekunden
drücken und halten, bis alle Alarm-
anzeigen (

,
t
,
s
) blinken und
„– –“ auf der Anzeige erscheint.
2. Die Rückstelltaste (

) länger als 5
Sekunden drücken und halten, um
zu prüfen, wie viele Kopien noch
angefertigt werden können.
Beispiel: Vor dem nächsten Aus-
wechseln der Trommeleinheit kön-
nen noch 500 Kopien angefertigt
werden.
3. Die Taste Hell (

) oder die Dunkel

) drücken. Die Bereitschaftsan-
zeige (
) leuchtet auf.
