INSTALLING THE TD CARTRIDGE
INSTALLIEREN DER ENTWICKLEREINHEIT
1. Open the bypass tray (AL-1551 only)
and then open the side cover whilst
pressing the side cover open button.
When closing the covers, be sure to
close the front cover securely and
then close the side cover. If the
covers are closed in the wrong order,
the covers may be damaged.
2. Remove the CAUTION tape from the
front cover and remove the two protec-
tive pins from the fusing unit by pulling
the strings upward one at a time.
3. Push gently on both sides of the front
cover to open the cover.
4. Remove the TD cartridge from the bag.
Remove the protective paper. Hold
the cartridge on both sides and shake
it horizontally four or five times.
5. Hold the tab of the protective cover and
pull the tab towards you to remove the
cover.
6. Gently insert the TD cartridge until it
locks in place.
7. Close the front cover and then the side
cover by pressing the round projec-
tions near the side cover open button.

1. Die Kassette für Mehrfacheinzug öff-
nen (nur AL-1551), dann die Verriege-
lungstaste der Seitenabdeckung drük-
ken und die Seitenabdeckung öffnen.
Beim Schließen der Abdeckungen
sollte zuerst die Frontabdeckung und
anschließend die Seitenabdeckung
sicher geschlossen werden. Durch
Schließen der Abdeckungen in der
falschen Reihenfolge können sie
beschädigt werden.
2. Das Sicherheitsklebeband von der
Frontabdeckung entfernen. Die beiden
Sicherheitsstifte durch Hochziehen der
Schnur nacheinander von der Fixierein-
heit entfernen.
3. Vorsichtig an beiden Seiten der Front-
abdeckung drücken, um sie zu öffnen.
4. Die Entwicklereinheit aus der Hülle
nehmen. Das Schutzpapier entfernen.
Die Einheit an beiden Seiten halten und
vier- bis fünfmal in horizontaler Rich-
tung schütteln.
5. Die Lasche der Schutzabdeckung fas-
sen und zu sich heranziehen, um die
Abdeckung abzunehmen.
6. Die Entwicklereinheit vorsichtig einset-
zen, bis sie einrastet.
7. Die Frontabdeckung und anschließend
die Seitenabdeckung durch Drücken der
runden Sicherungsknöpfe neben der
Verriegelungstaste der Seitenabdek-
kung schließen.
