FUNCIONAMIENTO DEL HORNO
Las microondas son ondas de energía, simi-
lares a las utilizadas por las señales de tele-
visión y de radio.
La energía eléctrica se convierte en energía
de microondas, que se dirige a la parte in-
ferior central de la cavidad a través de un
guiaondas. A continuación, el agitador del
microondas distribuye la energía de mi-
croondas hacia todas las esquinas de la ca-
vidad de manera uniforme.
Las microondas no pueden atravesar el me-
tal. Por este motivo, la cavidad del horno se
fabrica de este material y se utiliza una na
malla de metal en la puerta.
Durante la cocción, las microondas rebotan
desde los lados de la cavidad del horno de
manera aleatoria.
Las microondas atraviesan determinados
materiales, como el cristal y el plástico, para
calentar los alimentos ES-23).
El agua, el azúcar y la grasa de los alimen-
tos absorben las microondas y provocan su
vibración, lo que crea calor por fricción, de
la misma forma que se calientan las manos
cuando se frotan entre sí.
La energía de microondas calienta la parte ex-
terior de los alimentos y, a continuación, el ca-
lor se traslada al centro por conducción, como
ocurre en la cocción tradicional. Es importan-
te girar, recolocar o mover los alimentos para
garantizar un calentamiento uniforme.
Una vez completada la cocción, el horno deja
de producir automáticamente microondas.
Se necesita un periodo de reposo tras la cocción
para permitir que el calor se disperse de manera
uniforme a través de todos los alimentos.
NOTA:
Este modelo utiliza una bandeja plana de
cristal en lugar de un plato giratorio. La ban-
deja plana de cristal está unida con pega-
mento a la parte inferior de la cavidad y no
da vueltas como un plato giratorio. Basta co-
locar el plato en la bandeja de cristal plana.
