Do not leave the appliance unattended
while in use.
To prevent damage to the power cord,
- do not bend or kink the cable, especially
where it leaves the housing,
- do not pull on the cord,
- do not coil the power cord around the
appliance.
Do not place the appliance on any surface
sensitive to heat during or immediately after
use.
Do not operate the appliance if it is stored
on the hanging loop.
Make sure hot attachments are kept away
from the scalp.
When removing the plug from the wall
socket, never pull on the power cord;
always grip the plug itself.
Always switch off and remove the
plug from the wall socket after use,
and also
- in case of any malfunction and,
- during cleaning.
No responsibility will be accepted if damage
results from improper use, or if these
instructions are not complied with.
This appliance is intended for domestic or
similar applications, such as in
- shops, offi ces and other similar working
environments,
- agricultural areas,
- hotels, motels etc. and similar
establishments,
- bed and breakfast type environments.
In order to comply with safety regulations
and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical
appliances must be carried out by qualifi ed
personnel, including the replacement of the
power cord. If repairs are needed, please
send the appliance to one of our customer
service departments. The address can be
found in the appendix to this manual.
The IONIC function
The IONIC function facilitates gentle, easy hair
styling by preventing a static charge in the hair.
It uses the build-up of a negative ‘ion-cloud’
to prevent ‘fl yaway’ hair caused by a positive
charge.
The IONIC function is automatically enabled
during use, irrespective of the switch settings.
Operation
Switch positions
The appliance is equipped with a 3-position
switch allowing for the following settings:
Functions:
0 = Off
1 = Half power
2 = Full power
For a cooler air-fl ow, press the cool-air button
‘cool’ and slide it forward.
Removing and changing the attachments
Always switch the appliance off
and allow it to cool down to room
temperature before changing or
removing any attachments.
– To remove an attachment, press and hold
the release button on the housing, turn the
attachment to the right and pull it off from
the front.
– When fi tting any attachment, apply only
light pressure, making sure the triangular
mark on the attachment is aligned with the
identical mark on the housing. Then turn
the attachment to the left until it locks into
place.
Use
Round brush
–
The round brush is designed for shaping
the hair. To achieve this, the hair should be
divided into single strands (not too thick) and
then spread evenly over the brush, turning
them inwards or outwards as desired.
– Apply for a few seconds at a time only,
while letting the hot air take effect on the
hair. Let the strands uncurl afterwards.
– Allow the hair to cool down suffi ciently
before brushing it out.
