water remaining in the kettle.

If the desired temperature is below that of the

water in the kettle, a beep signal is heard.  e

selection buttons light up green and show the

current water temperature.

– Do not leave any residual water in the

container.

Power cord wind-up storage

 e wind-up power cord storage under the

base facilitates limiting the length of the

power cord during use and makes it easy to

store the appliance.

Descaling

Depending on the water quality in your area,

lime deposits may build up on the heating plate.

It is advisable to remove any such deposits at

regular intervals. Any warranty claim will

be null and void if the kettle malfunctions

because of insu cient descaling.

A mixture of 0.5 litres of water to two

tablespoons of vinegar essence is suitable.

– Pour the descaler in.

– Switch the appliance on and let the

solution reach boiling point.

– Leave it to take e ect for a short period.

– To clean the container a er descaling,

rinse thoroughly with clean water.

 Do not pour descalers down enamel-

coated sinks.

Sieve

If necessary, the sieve can be removed from

the spout for cleaning. Re-insert the sieve

a erwards.

General cleaning and care

 Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is

disconnected from the power supply and

has cooled down completely.

 To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not

clean the kettle and the base with water

and do not immerse them in water. Do

not clean under running water.

 For cleaning, a slightly damp, lint-free

cloth may be used.

 Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning

solutions, and do not use hard brushes for

cleaning.

Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective

appliances in domestic garbage;

this should only be done through

public collection points.
