and to avoid hazards, repairs of electrical

Power cord storage
Depending on the model, your wa e iron
may come with a power cord wind-up
storage or a cord storage compartment.
Always take the power cord out of its storage
compartment and unwind it to its full length
before use.
Wind up or restore the power cord to the
storage compartment only a er the wa e
iron has cooled down completely.
Before initial use
e wa e iron should be preheated for ten
minutes with the lids closed. is will remove
the smell typically encountered when rst
switching on the wa e iron. Please ensure
su cient ventilation.
(If your wa e iron has an adjustable
thermostat control, turn it to its highest
setting).
Clean the appliance a erwards as described
in Cleaning and Care.
Operation
– Close the lids.
– Plug in the appliance. e red main
indicator light comes on.
– Turn the thermostat control to its
maximum setting.
– Preheat the wa e iron for about eight
minutes. It is then ready for use.
– Once the pre-set temperature is reached,
the green ‘ready’-light will come on.
– Open the two lids.
– Before use, the non-stick plates should
be lightly greased with a small amount of
oil or fat that is speci cally intended for
frying and may be safely heated to high
temperatures.
– Put the dough on the middle of the lower
plate.
– Close the upper lid and press down gently
to help spread the dough evenly.
– e baking time is in general 2 - 3
minutes, depending on the nature of the
dough as well as the selected temperature.
– Once the baking process is nished,
remove the wa e immediately. To
prevent damage to the non-stick coating,
do not use any sharp or pointed objects to
remove the food.
– Check the level of browning. Should the
wa e be too light or too dark, adjust the
temperature control or baking time.
– Place fresh dough into the wa e iron
immediately a er removing the wa e.
– A er use, remove the plug from the wall
socket and allow the appliance to cool
down with its cooking plates open.
Practical hints
– In order to maintain the crispness of the
wa es, place them next to each other on a
rack to cool. (Placed on top of each other,
the wa es will lose their crispness).
– If milk is used instead of water, the wa es
will be so er and darker.
– In order to achieve even browning,
all ingredients should be of the same
temperature.
General care and cleaning
Before cleaning, remove the plug from the
wall socket and wait until the appliance
has cooled down with the cooking plates
open.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not
clean the appliance with water and do not
immerse it in water.
