Applications
The appliance is suitable for making ice-
cream, fruit ice-cream (sorbet), frozen
yoghurt or chilled drinks.
Before using for the first time
-
Remove any packing materials
completely.
-
Clean the appliance as described in the
section General care and cleaning.
Operation
Ice-cream bowl
-
To make ice-cream, the ice-cream bowl
must be chilled at a minimum of -18°C
for at least 8 hours.
● When handling the bowl, ensure that
your hands are dry or use suitable gloves.
-
Verify that the ice-cream bowl is
thoroughly chilled, by shaking it – if no
liquid appears to move inside, the
required degree of chilling has been
reached.
Hint:
To prevent the contents of the bowl from
melting, the bowl should only be taken
from the freezer shortly before use.
-
If the bowl is kept permanently in a
freezer, you will be able to make ice-
cream at any time.
Grater top
The grater top is used for grating chocolate
and chocolate beans.
● Use only chocolate of a firm consistency.
● Do not use
- soft chocolate,
- nuts, solid chocolate bars etc. or fruit
gums,
- fruit, syrup or other soft ingredients.
Assembly
-
Place the grater insert into the grater
housing.
-
Fit the grater lid and lock it by turning
clockwise.
-
Fit the crank to the drive shaft of the
grater insert.
-
The chocolate pieces should be at room
temperature (around 20°C) and should
not exceed about 2x2 cm in size.
-
Feed the chocolate through the lid
opening into both grater top chambers,
which should be evenly filled. To ensure
that the grater mechanism can function
properly, avoid overfilling the chambers.
Preparation
-
Cool the ice-cream bowl for approx. 8
hours (see section Ice-cream bowl).
-
Prepare all ingredients according to the
chosen recipe. The maximum fill capacity
is 0.5 litres.
-
Place the chilled ice-cream bowl onto the
drive unit.
-
Fit the stirring insert into the bowl with
the ring facing up.
-
Place the interior lid onto the housing
and lock it by turning clockwise. The
stirring insert should now be directly
under the interior lid.
-
Insert the plug into a suitable wall outlet.
-
Use the rotary switch to turn the unit on.
The bowl starts rotating while the stirring
insert remains stationary.
-
Feed the ingredients slowly into the
bowl. Observe the ‘Max’ level marks on
the stirring insert.
-
Place the main cover over the interior lid.
-
Depending on the temperature of the ice
bowl and the ingredients, the desired
consistency of the ice-cream should be
achieved after 5 to 30 minutes. The
consistency should be checked on a
regular basis by removing the main cover
and then checking whether the liquid
mixture has changed into a firmer ice-
cream. To prevent the motor from being
impeded, these checks should be done
very frequently.
-
If the grater is to be used, place the grater
top (in place of the main cover) onto the
interior lid shortly before the desired
consistency of the ice-cream has been
reached.
