Even if the pressure is released and the

water is then poured from the reservoir

before the appliance has completely

cooled down, there is still a danger of hot

water and steam being emitted, as the

residual heat of the reservoir may bring

the remaining water to the boil again

during the pouring process.

Exercise – extreme caution when pouring

out the water.

Water reservoir (Descaling)

Depending on the water quality in your area as

well as the frequency of use, lime deposits may

build up on the heating element. It is advisable

to remove any such deposits from the water

reservoir at regular intervals. A mixture of 0.5

litres of water to two tablespoons of vinegar

essence is suitable.

Carefully pour the descaling solution in. –

For the descaling solution to take e ect, –

the steam generator should be le

standing for approximately one hour with

the reservoir  ller hole open.

Pour out the descaling solution. –

To clean the reservoir a er descaling, rinse –

repeatedly with clean water.

Do not pour descalers down enamelled z

sinks.

Storage

Turn o the iron, remove the plug from z

the wall socket and let the appliance cool

down completely.

To avoid damage to the soleplate, store z

the iron only on the iron rest on the steam

generator.

Disposal

Do not dispose of old or defective

appliances in domestic garbage;

this should only be done through

public collection points.
