General care and cleaning
Before cleaning the appliance, ensure it is z
disconnected from the power supply and
has cooled down completely.
To avoid the risk of electric shock, do not z
clean the appliance with water and do not
immerse it in water.
If necessary, the unit may be wiped with a
dry lint-free cloth.
Starch, fat and other deposits on the
soleplate may be removed with a woollen
cloth soaked in a vinegar/water solution.
Do not use abrasives or harsh cleaning z
solutions.
Do not put vinegar or other descalers into z
the water reservoir.
Self-cleaning system
e self-cleaning system  ushes out loose
mineral deposits and keeps the appliance
free of lime and dust particles. Self-cleaning
should be carried out if the iron has not been
used for an extended period, or otherwise
every 10-15 days. Proceed as follows:
Set the steam control to ‘dry ironing’.
Fill the water reservoir with water up to
the maximum level mark.
Place the iron on its base stand and put the
plug into the wall socket.
Set the temperature control to its
maximum.
Wait until the indicator light goes out.
Remove the plug from the wall socket.
Hold the iron horizontally over a sink.
Slide the steam control to the SELF
CLEAN mark. Hold the button in that
position while swinging the iron lightly to
and fro until no more steam or hot water
is emitted.
Pour out any remaining water from the
reservoir.
Allow the sole plate to cool down before
cleaning it with a damp, lint-free cloth.
Cleaning the steam valve
In addition to the self-cleaning process
above, the steam valve should be taken out
and cleaned once a month.
Remove the plug from the wall socket,
allow the appliance to cool down, and
empty the water reservoir.
Gently pull out the steam control knob
and the steam valve; make sure not to
touch the valve at its lower end.
Place the valve into a container of normal
household vinegar, and let it take e ect
for about four hours, until any scale
deposits have been dissolved (do not use
concentrated vinegar).
Any remaining scale residue can be
removed with a so brush.
Rinse the valve thoroughly in fresh tap
water and replace it in the appliance.
Set the steam control to ‘dry ironing’, insert
the plug into the wall socket and turn
the temperature control to its maximum
setting. Any water remaining inside the
steam chamber will now evaporate.
Remove the plug from the wall socket,
allow the appliance to cool down and
clean the sole plate with a damp cloth.
Storage
Turn o the iron, remove the plug from z
the wall socket and let the unit cool down
completely.
Pour any remaining water out of the
reservoir through the water  lling hole.
To avoid damage to the soleplate, store
z

on in an upright position on its base
stand.
Disposal
Do not dispose of old or defective
appliances in domestic garbage;
this should only be done through
public collection points.
Guarantee
is product is guaranteed against defects
in materials and workmanship for a period
of three years from the date of purchase.
Under this guarantee the manufacturer
undertakes to repair or replace any parts
found to be defective, providing the product
is returned to one of our authorised service
