We would like to congratulate you for

selecting a CERAN Miradur

cooktop.

You now own a premium product from

SCHOTT. The Miradur

coating has been

specially developed for durability, scratch

resistance, and a sophisticated appearance.

Yet cooking surfaces are one of the kitchen

components exposed to the greatest

strains. Proper cleaning and treatment

is essential to conserving the value of your

coating.

Useful care instructions

• Prior to using your new cooking surface for

the first time, rub it down with a conventional

glass cleaner.

• Always remove food rests and spillover

promptly from the cooktop.

• Regularly clean your Miradur

cooking surface;

ideally after every cooking process.

Do not use:

• abrasive sponges

• scouring agents

• chemically aggressive cleaners

(e.g. oven cleaners, stain removers)

A momentary lapse …

… and plastic, aluminum foil or a sugary treat plop onto the hot cooking surface. Please use a suited metal

cleaning scraper to immediately slide them out of the hot cooking zone. These items can damage the coo

king surface if they melt.

*Suited cleaning agents for the CERAN Miradur

coating:

• Remove greasy residues such as oil with conventional hand dishwashing detergents.

• Remove water and lime buildup with a vinegar-based cleaner.

• Wipe with clean water and rub dry after each use.

• For streak-free gloss, finish by rubbing with a conventional glass cleaner.

A tip for stubborn soiling:

• Use special glass-ceramic cleaners containing abrasive substances only for stubborn soiling.

Apply the cleaner evenly and smoothly to the cooking area. Avoid isolated and hard polishing,

which can damage the coating. Subsequently remove all cleaning-agent residue carefully

with clean water and wipe dry.

To keep your CERAN Miradur

cooktop

panel flawless:

• Do not use the cooktop panel as a grill.

• Prevent direct contact with foods, which

can permanently discolor the coating.

• The bottom of the cookware should be

clean, dry and ridge-free to prevent any

potential unsightly scratches and deposits

(such as lime specks).

• We recommend 2-3mm as optimum

bottom thickness for steel enamel, and

4-6mm for stainless steel sandwich bases.

• We do not recommend using pots with

bottoms of pure copper or aluminum.

• Keep coarse dirt and salt away from the

cooking surface. They have an abrasive

effect and can damage the coating.

• Lift cookware when moving it.

First remove coarse soiling with a

suited metal scraper.

… and rub it in evenly and smoothly

over the entire surface using a paper

towel or clean cloth. This eliminates

the need for occasional polishing.

Brilliant results in four easy steps:

• The following kitchen light

sources put your Miradur

cooking surface in the most

beautiful light:

LED and halogen lamps, as

well as daylight.

Now spray the cooled cooking

surface with an appropriate cleaning

agent* …

Then wipe the cooking surface with a

wet cloth and dry with a clean cloth.
