If possible, install the device on the north- or east-
facing wall of the building.
If possible, install the device under roof overhangs
or similar covering.
If possible, the connection line should be inserted
into the device from below. If the connecting cable
enters into the device from above, particularly good
insulation must be ensured.
Install the load to be switched (lighting) in such a
way that the light from it does not fall on the light
sensor (Fig.!E). Otherwise, the sensor will not
be able to calculate the ambient brightness
correctly (optical feedback).

The light-sensitive time switch may only be
installed and connected by skilled electricians.
Please observe the relevant regulations in your
own country.
Installing the light-sensitive time switch and taking it
into service is done in several stages, and these must
be carried out as described below.
Installing the housing and wiring the connections
1Open the housing by unscrewing the two screws at
the front. Pull out the light-sensitive time switch.
The condensation water opening on the underside of
the housing must be opened. Exception: If operated in

rooms subject to a large amount of dust, it must remain
closed.
2Push open the condensation water opening (Fig.
(A, view from rear) from the inside to the outside
and break out the device wall.
3Fasten the housing to the building wall through the
openings (Fig. !E and „E) using suitable fixing
material (e.g. dowels and screws). The "OBEN/TOP"
marking should be at the top.
If you want to lead the cable into the housing from
below rather than above:
4Swap over the lead-in guides (Fig. / A/B).
5Wiring the light-sensitive time switch for the desired
application:

6Insert the light-sensitive time switch into the
housing and screw the housing together.
Setting the twilight threshold
|Note: To set the twilight threshold, the device
housing must be open. Make sure that the light
sensor is not covered and that no light other than
the ambient brightness falls on the lights sensor.
1Turn the setting switch for switch-on time (Fig !C)
to position "T".

On reaching the threshold value required:
2Slowly turn the setting switch for the twilight
threshold (Fig !A) until the light switches on.
Leave the setting switch at this position.
3Turn the setting switch for switch-on time (Fig !C)
to position "A".
Setting the twilight function
If you want to set the threshold function (switching on
and off at dusk/dawn, Fig. ):
1Turn the setting switch for switch-off time (Fig !B)
to position "D".
2Turn the setting switch for switch-on time (Fig !C)
to position "A".

Setting the automatic function
If you want to set the automatic function (time switch
evening and morning, Fig. §):
1Read off the local time deviation from the table (see
next section) and calculate the switch-on or switch-
off time.
2Turn the setting switch for switch-off time (Fig !B)
to the newly calculated switch-off time, e. g. 21:30.
3Turn the setting switch for switch-on time (Fig !C)
to the newly calculated switch-on time, e. g. 5:15.
Semi-automatic function
If you want to set the semi-automatic function (time
switch evening only, Fig. $):
1Read off the local time deviation from the table (see
next section) and calculate the switch-on time.
