Moving and throwing out
Players move the pieces by playing cards. If a
card shows a 5, the player may move one of his
pieces five spaces in a clockwise direction. If you
wish, you may also agree to play anti-clockwise
(like in Switzerland, for example). While moving
a piece, you may hop over your own or other
players’ pieces (exception: the starting space),
however, these spaces are counted.
Only one piece is allowed on each space. If a
player moves his piece onto a space that is occu-
pied by another piece, this piece is thrown out
and has to be placed back into its home − even
if it is your own piece. If a piece is overtaken by
a 7 − no matter if the number is split or not − it is
also placed back into its home (see explanation
of cards).
Compulsion to move
The players are compelled to move their pieces the
complete number of spaces determined by the card
value − likewise the seven. All the points must be
used up completely. For this reason, it can easily
happen that a player who would reach his arrival
area with 5 steps, for example, only has higher
cards in his hand so that he is forced to pass by
and go round the game board one more time.
This card can assume the function or
the value of any other card − blue or
red cards alike.
If you play this card, you must
exchange one of your own pieces
with an opponents piece or one of
your partners pieces − even if it is
disadvantageous. Safe pieces (pieces
on the starting spaces of their own
colour) and pieces that are already
in their arrival area may not be
exchanged. If there are only your own
or safe pieces available, the player
discards this card without effect.
This is a starting card: If you play it,
you may move a piece out of its home
and place it on the starting space.
Alternatively, you may move one
piece 13 spaces forward.

Alternatively, you may move one
piece 1 space or 11 spaces forward.
Arrival area
In the arrival area, pieces are safe. There, it is not
allowed to hop over pieces, to throw them out or to
go backwards. You always reach the arrival area
going forwards via the starting space. However,
it is not allowed to access the arrival area directly
from the starting space − even if the piece has
already made its round. The piece has to be
moved over the starting space into the arrival area.
Cards with a blue background
If you play a card with a blue background, the
piece is always moved forward the appropriate
number of spaces.
Cards with a red background and their special function
All cards with a red background have a special function:
The piece is moved 8 spaces
and reaches the arrival area.
