- After every use clean the machine and its environment from
chips and wood cuttings.
- For a more thorough cleaning see the section «Maintenance».
7. PUTTING THE MACHINE INTO OPERATION
g. Cleaning the machine
A well thought-off reflection about the machine helps working
safe.
- Choose the tool matching the infeed speed and the wood.
- Check the tool (condition of the cutting edges and the
contact surfaces). Only high-quality tools guarantee a perfect
sawing result.
- Fit the tool in the correct turning direction.
- Set cutting height and cutting angle (with the machine at
standstill).
- Set the fence and saw blade guard (with the machine at
standstill).
- For a perfect safety, tighten all moving parts (hand wheels,
levers …).
- Make sure no tool is left on the machine.
- Make also sure that there is no risk of an object getting in
touch with the rotating saw blade.
- Make test cuts only with all safety devices fitted.
- Switch the machine on by pressing the button (V1). (38)
- Place your hands on the correct spots in order to avoid a
kickback of the work pieces.
- Saw the work piece (see «Sawing the work pieces»).
- Protect your body during the work (see «Precautions»).
- Switch the machine off by pressing the button (V2). (38)
Summary
- For sawing large work pieces use the table extension
(Optional) (M2) and/or a roller stand (Optional) (M3). (See
«Fitting the table extension».)
